Knowing the island, we knew we were a little “out of town” meaning an extra 5 minute cart ride. It was totally worth it. House was clean, pool was great, beautiful beach area steps from the house. House was well outfitted with anything you need. Would def stay again.

The property was gorgeous! The views were incredible! The home is literally on top of the water. Loved the dipping pool and the amazing porch where we spent most of our time. The interior of the home was very clean and was well stocked with all the essentials for making a meal at home. The beds were very comfortable providing for an excellent night’s sleep. Jaime was a fantastic host and we always knew she was there if we needed her. She was always quick to respond and help. Highly recommend an outing with Captain Shane! A great recommendation by Jaime that did not disappoint. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you, Jaime, for helping to make our trip a magical and memorable vacation!

Very nice property with great view. Owners were always available and helped out immediately when golf cart had issues. They arranged our transportation from airport to house which entails a cab to dock, ferry to island, and golf cart to house. Did the same for return. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful vacation! If you are looking for a place to take a break from every day life this is it. Spanish Wells/Russell Island is a magical place and Jamie and Shannon’s house is the perfect place to relax. We saw turtles, rays, dolphins right from our deck. The cottage has everything you could need to live like you’re at home. The local grocery store has everything you need and the few restaurants were great. We enjoyed having The Sandbar right next door and breakfast at Eagles Landing was great. Jamie handled all of the travel details for arrival and departure and it was flawless. Shannon took us out on the boat for the day and we swam with turtles, snorkeled, and saw a pod of dolphins. I can’t recommend this property and their owners enough. We hope to bring family back.

Water's Edge -- and Spanish Wells in general -- is a special place. The house is near the end of Russell Island and is quiet and peaceful, with gorgeous water views literally right up to the house. The Sandbar is right next door, which makes for a convenient place to grab a meal and drinks. Jaime and Shenan make the stay extra special by doing all the transportation arranging and answering any questions promptly. We loved our time there in this beautiful little fishing village and would definitely return.
(P.S. If you need to charter a boat for a snorkeling or sightseeing trip, use Seagillian, which Jaime can arrange for you! We had a wonderful half-day adventure swimming with turtles, feeding rays, and snorkeling.)

Amazing location and amazing hosts! This was our first trip to Spanish Wells and Jaime was quick to respond to ALL of my questions, and I sent her A LOT. She was also very responsive our entire week with anything that came up, including my husband getting a flat tire on the golf cart. We are still amazed at how quickly the "rescue team" was there and the tire was replaced. The cottage was perfect for our family of four (w/ two teenage girls). We all enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the plunge pool was nice to cool off in. The house was very clean and well appointed for the limited cooking we did. We loved our "island life" week and will be back! We also did a day charter with Seagillian Life and Captain Shenan. It was THE BEST day seeing all the sights - pigs, turtles, sand bar swings, starfish and snorkeling. Jaime reserved everything for us and it was a day that we will never forget. If this is your first trip to Spanish Wells, here is a tip - Island life is very casual. Leave all those dresses and things you might wear to dinner at an all-inclusive resort at home. I didn't wear 3/4s of what I packed including the multiple pairs of really great shoes. I barely wore makeup or spent a lot of time drying my hair. All you need are a couple good beach hats, a few bathing suits, some beach coverups, flip flops, a few hair ties and good sunscreen. Embarrassingly, I packed two suitcases for myself. In hindsight, I should have packed a few dry good snacks rather than clothes.

We had a amazing experience. From the time we cleared customs until we reached our cottage our travel needs were met. Our tours were organized for us and also enjoyable and uncomplicated. The cottage was so cute and the view from the porch is breath taking.

Water's Edge is a great property on Russell Island. The water colors were amazing and we loved having access to the paddleboards and kayaks. The host picks you up from the water taxi and shuttles your luggage for you while you drive the included golf cart to the property. Bottled water is also provided which was nice because you could not drink the water from the tap, only cook with it.. Be sure to check grocery items at the house before you shop. We left some staples of condiments, coffee and sugar after our stay last week. We cooked in one night and ate out at the Shipwreck restaurant the other nights; delicious food on Spanish Wells. The food fair market had PLENTY of food to choose from and Buddha's was a great liquor store nearly across the street. Beautiful island and VRBO house.

This was our first trip to Spanish Wells and we hope to be back soon! The location was right on the water, so peaceful and relaxing. We had great communication from the owners who Arrange transportation and helped us get to and from the house.

Hidden gem on Russell island!
My husband and I stayed along with our son. Jaime and her family add the little touches you didn’t even know you need. Meet us at ferry with golf cart and loaded our luggage in their car. Made ride easy as not trying to hold luggage on cart. Seen someone’s luggage fall off another cart!
House was nice and comfortable. Once again the little things....beautiful light fixture made from husbands ship wheel after 30 years working water...gorgeous coffee table with beautiful shells!
Used kayak and stand up paddle boards almost every day. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful view! Loved the porch!
We had such a nice time with our 2 adult children. The paddle boards were a big hit!
The house is wonderful but could use some Fixing up but it was fine for us. We are pretty easy going.
Our golf cart broke down and so many people stopped to offer assistance. Someone Called Jaime and they were there with a replacement within 15 minutes. Wonderful island with very friendly people!!!!

The perfect getaway
My husband , dog and myself had a wonderful time at Waters Edge. Our contact Jamie, was extremely helpful in every aspect of our stay. The property looks exactly as it does on the sight. The view off the deck is beautiful. . Spanish Wells is an extremely welcoming island.

Many positives
Great, available ownership who can help with any suggestions or needs and are locals who know all aspects of the islands. Awesome comfortable location literally right on the water. Accessible stunning water/island view and fun right at your back door. Accessible restaurant 2 minutes away with excellent food. Super positive experience for us retirees who would feel comfortable bringing our grandkids next time.

Quaint little beach cottage
Quaint and cozy beach cottage! Right on the water. Short golf cart ride to “town”. House is equipped with the basics. Hosts were extremely kind and always a message away! Spanish Wells/Russel Island is a very special and unique place. There isn’t a lot of hustle and bustle and people and kind to one to another. There isn’t much to do and that’s just the way we like it!

Tranquil cottage on the sea
To be away from noise and traffic in the sweetest little cottage surrounded by nature with an amazing view and everything you need was beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for more especially for the price!! I was delighted and anxious to book again! Jamie was an amazing host, answered any questions within minutes and even went out of her way to get us coal and lighter fluid for grilling on the deck... which was my favorite!!! You can get closer to the sea! Love this place, thank you for sharing it!

Great cottage right on the water
We enjoyed our stay at Water's Edge cottage. It couldn't have been any closer to the water - actually the deck is over the water. The kayak and golf cart were quite useful. We visited the Sandbar restaurant a couple times. Plenty of room and the owners were accomodating to our needs.

Amazing Property Incredible Managers
We just spent 5 days in Spanish Wells and could not have picked a better place to rent. Spacious private property with you own private beach, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.
Furthermore if the was the slightest thing Jaime had a solution in the blink of an eye.
We will definitely be coming back !!!!

Like sleeping on a boat!
Most relaxing bedroom we’ve ever slept in. Lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the flapping of the canvas awning. Enjoyed exploring Russell Island & St. George’s Cay by golf cart. Usually had the beach to ourselves. Met some nice folks. Ate breakfast in and splurged on lunch and dinner. Hope to come back!

The best place to stay
This little house was the perfect place for a getaway. Location was fantastic, the views are amazing.
The service the owners provided was incredible, they were always there to help, answer our questions, and make everything possible. The place comes with peddle boards, kayaks and a golf cart, which we used a lot! Highly recommend for anyone going to Spanish Well.

Great Place for 2 Couples or Family
Property has eveything you need from rafts, noodles, kayaks, extra supplies in kitchen to gorgeous water views and almost always a rainbow a day. The only reason I said good vs outstanding I believe is our learning curve and visiting this island for the first time s/p Dorian (We had always stayed Abacos) so we are getting used to this "new normal" . Only recommendation would be to add a non stick pan or two. I am sure if I had asked it would have magically appeared though! Recommend for sure.

Relaxing and friendly
Really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and lovely property. Great location for being away from it all but still close for whatever you need. This cottage is very clean and nicely decorated. You couldn’t possibly beat the view from the deck. It is very easy to get around with the golf cart and everyone is very friendly when you have questions. Things to know ahead of time - the Food Fair has what you will need but closes at 5 M-F/6 on Saturday and most everything is closed on Sunday (restaurants are open). Transportation is arranged to/from airport but you still need to pay (this may have been a semantics error for me based in our origins). $25 for the cab and $5 per person for the ferry. Hope to come back to this place again!!

Perfect
This property works best if you are looking for a place to take it easy and just enjoy a small island. That said, there is plenty to do, and the people and the island they have built is really a special place for travelers. The grocery store is a real treat for an island. The property has what you need and Jaime took care of any arrangements we needed. So if low key, but convienent, is your game, then this place and island is for you.

Awesome Home Away From Home!!!!
My family scheduled to stay in this home for a week and although our trip was cut short due to the hurricane, this was an experience that changed our lives! This place is so special that it is hard to put into words. Our family spent a few days at the home and it was by far our favorite vacation, despite having to leave early! The booking process was great from the beginning. The owners of the property went above and beyond to answer all of our questions previous to even getting to the island. I am sure the owner, Jaime wanted to strangle me a few times because I had so many questions but she was always kind, informative and overly accommodating. When we arrived to the island, the owner (Shannon) picked us up personally and gave us a private tour of the island, dropped us at the home and then made us feel amazingly welcome. The home was quaint, clean, well stocked with everything that you could possibly need, and the owners even went out of their way to drop an umbrella, toys and a pack and play for our little one to the home. The view off of the back deck of the home is breathtaking and so relaxing to sit on the deck at any time of the day. The owners gave us a golf cart to drive around during our stay and provided a map to use, in addition all of the tips for food, grocery etc. Jaime, the owner, caters food and her food is WAY better than anything you will eat at any restaurant on the island. The restaurants & food that you find at the grocery are great too though. Early in the morning we would head to the grocery for fresh baked goods made by the locals. There were awesome beaches all over the island, snorkeling and lots of places near the house to just relax and take in the gorgeous scenery of white beaches & crystal clear waters. We rented a boat for the day and went to pig island (my little girl loved this) as well as other smaller islands and it was so exciting to just explore in general. We met tons of locals and everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and the safety that you feel on the island is like non other. We have already decided that we will be back as soon as we can & we hope to stay in one of Jaime & Shannon's homes when we return. Stay here asap! You will not regret it. :)

Amazing Place, Excellent Stay
Jaime had excellent communication before and during our stay, she was always quick to respond to my questions.
Jaime coordinated getting us from the airport to the house and back again. It was seemless and surprisingly easy. Pinder taxi was waiting for us as soon as we walked out of the airport exit, he took us to the dock and then sailed us over to Spanish Wells. Sheldon picked us up at the dock, gave us a brief tour of Spanish Wells to help give us an idea where everything is and then took us to the house. Once at the house he told us where everything was and how to get to the private beach.
The house is in a perfect location, directly on the beautiful water, secluded and quiet. It was exceptionally clean, looked and smelled clean. The air conditioning worked well and kept the house cool.
We spent the majority of our time on the deck, thankful for the shade on the deck since we are pretty fair skinned. When not on the deck we were 2 minutes away by the provided golf cart at the beautiful private beach. Each day at the private beach we only saw a couple people. It was very quiet and secluded. We saw starfish and dolphins at the private beach.
We used the golf cart every day, going to the private beach and over the bridge to Spanish Wells for dinner. We did cook dinner one night at the house and had breakfast and lunch there every day. It was well stocked with everything you need.
This was the best rental we've ever stayed at, we will definitely be back. A perfect place to relax!

Paradise
This property is everything it says it is. It’s away from everyone and the views are amazing. Perfect for people looking to get away from it all. The house does share the kayaks and paddle boards with the other house on the property but was not a big deal. And the golf cart was great to get you where you need to go. Only negative was the bugs and flies. But we do recommend this house. Thanks

Lovely secluded ocean front stay
A memorable location overhanging the blue waters of the ocean. Very tranquil location at the end of Russel Island. Opportunity to use the private beach is lovely and the inclusion of the golf cart with the property is great. Handy location next to Sandbar with its great conch fritters and drinks!!
Highly recommended!

Quiet getaway
Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cottage. It is certainly very quiet here. Cindy and I had a great time although it was too short. We went kayaking, snorkeled, and swam in front of the house, and saw lots of little fish. The bed was very comfortable. We did go to the Sandbar and had a great pizza. This is the perfect place to go if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Keep up the good work, Jaime & Shennon. Your cottage is lovely, well-equipped, and private.
We are island people from Maine, and this trip has allowed us to transition from the end of the summer season. The weather was perfect, warm but comfortable, breezy at time, some rain overnight to freshen things up. Lovely fish and coral, exquisite scenery. A great day trip to Eleuthera (car rental recommended by Jaime). Swimming & snorkeling daily at local beaches or via boat tours. Eating dinner al fresco Sandbar, Shipyard, Budda' s. The friendliness of all the residents on this piece of paradise, from Jaime & Shennon to all the other people we met.

Amazing!!!
If you are asking yourself if you should book this place go ahead and make the decision and book! It is fantastic! You literally walk outside and are standing over the water. Kayaks are there for your use and we were able to explore awesome spots close to the house. We snorkeled right outside the house and saw a lion fish. Right down the street there is wonderful snorkeling. The bed is extremely comfortable. The showers have hot water. I absolutely love this place. Coffee pot, microwave, oven and stove. Just run to the Food Fair on the golf cart and pick up a few things. The hosts, Jaime and Shannen, are great! They went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable. They are A+ hosts. Can't say enough good things. Very responsive. And again, the house, the property-- wonderful. I highly recommend this place. Look no further!!

Your own slice of paradise!
There are so many good things to say about Beachfront Waters Edge Cottage. First and foremost, Jaime and Shennon are awesome hosts. They are there anytime to help with anything you need. Our stay was delayed in Florida for a few hours due to storms and Silver Airlines but Jaime was on phone and email the whole time making sure somebody would be at the airport to get us to the dock. Staying here you will not have to worry about rushing to the grocery and liquor stores. This rental is so equipped and ready that you can have a drink, a little something to eat, and coffee the next morning, all waiting when they show you to your Cottage. The inside of the cottage has a roomy fridge, comfortable furniture, and GREAT MATTRESSES! Sleeping with the windows open and a salty breeze blowing over you is an awesome feeling. Comes with SUP boards and kayaks which are fun, and beachcombing is just steps away at low tide. The location of the cabana is on the west end of Russell island, so the SandBar is within walking/buggy/swimming distance if you need a Hurricane soon, but Spanish Wells is a pleasurable buggy ride away for anything else. My wife and I stayed for three weeks and it was tough to leave. We had such a great time.

Simply wonderful!
Jaime and her husband were wonderful hosts, and the property was spectacular! As this was my first time visiting Spanish Wells (was having a little anxiety), Jaime made sure that a taxi was waiting for me as soon as I got of the flight. The taxi driver then ensured that I made it to the Ferry, and then took me across to Spanish Wells. When I arrived on Spanish Wells, Jaime and her husband were both waiting for me on the dock! By that time, my anxiety was long gone because I felt taken care of. Jaime and her husband, then escorted me to their beautiful property. The posted pics do it no justice!
I only stayed on the island for 2 days (Feb 16th & 17th) - I was there for my brother's wedding - but Jaime's place was one of the highlights! Every break I got from doing my brotherly "wedding duties", I went back to the property just to relax. One can sit on the deck to watch the sunrises & sunsets. In between; take a short walk to the Sand Bar to have a few drinks, come back to the property to play cards (or one of the other games they have in the drawer beneath the television), watch the game, chat with the really nice neighbors, take the provided golf card into town, and then drink some more!
Thank you so much, Jaime, for making my stay a memorable one...can't wait to come back!

Lovely and comfortable
We spent six nights at Waters Edge cottage and were very happy with our choice. Jaime has updated many things that didn’t show in the photos when I made the reservation. There is a new loveseat and chairs in the dining room ( very tasteful), the beds in both bedrooms have very comfortable mattresses, the interior is bright, fresh and clean. The deck facing south overlooking the ocean has a spectacular view. A railing has been installed, along with a sun shade that is suspended over the table. We had great swimming right at Waters Edge until the wind picked up the last days of our stay. There are other beaches nearby which we also enjoyed. There are a number of choices for eating out on Spanish Wells, and we had some tasty meals. There is a supermarket on the island that was well stocked - and fresh fish can be purchased right off the boat. We ate in most nights, sitting on the deck, watching the sunset and then the stars. The golf cart provided with the rental was all we needed to get around - and also found a stretch of beach for swimming and snorkeling within walking distance. The Sandbar is also a short walk— good food and delicious drinks. Jaime was an attentive hostess - responding promptly to my questions and offering suggestions that made our stay even better.

If anyone is looking for a relaxing place to stay, this is it. The cottage was perfect, it was clean, had all the amenities of home including WiFi and cable. it is a very modern cottage with a rear deck just feet from the ocean. I already miss falling asleep to the sound of the ocean at night and exploring the island during the day. I have been to the Bahamas before, but Spanish Wells is so much nicer and the people are so much more friendly. The owners of the cottage are the some of the most gracious people i have ever met, they went out of their way to make the stay pleasant and even cooked us Lobster and introduced us to Conch and all the ways it is made. I can honestly say that this was the most relaxing time i have ever spent away from home. you will not be disappointed, i promise.
