Wonderful secluded place to stay for hiking on the Appalachian Trail.

This vrbo was so clean! It looked just like the pictures online. My husband enjoyed getting on the AT if even for a short hike. He’s already wanting to go back to do a longer hike. It is a good drive from where we were going in Dahlonega, however, we loved the cabin and it has everything you could possibly need.

We had the best stay at this property. We enjoyed s’mores and coffee by the fire, family games, and exploring the communities around. Property was extremely clean and the manager was great at communication. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Trail Cabin. We did several hikes right from the cabin. The fireplace and all the bedrooms were very comfortable. Each of our adult children had an entire floor of the house and we enjoyed being on the main floor! Perfect getaway—-highly recommend!! Will plan on returning!

This cabin was perfect for our grown children, their significant others, and my husband and I. It was easy to get to. It was well-furnished and had everything we needed. We visited Burt's Pumpkin Patch and R and A Apple Orchard during our stay. We highly recommend staying in The Trail Cabin.

Adorable cabin and perfect for our weekend stay to visit surrounding towns. All was good except crickets kept appearing in basement where one of the bedrooms are located. I did tell property manager and he said they would address this immediately. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Cabin was absolutely beautiful and spotless! Everything looked brand new. Kitchen was fantastic. Excellent location. Close to the AT, walk to the AT from the cabin, and other trails, waterfalls, sightseeing, wineries. The AT decor made it so special as I am enamored by hiking on the AT. Thoroughly enjoyed the first fireplace fire of the season for us. The rain dropping on the cabin roof made it even cozier. Host was very responsive and so kind. We definitely will look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend.

Everything has been well thought out and provided for - a lot of little extras, like fresh guitar strings for the guitar in the bedroom! It's a beautiful cabin and we enjoyed our stay. The host is extra special.

We loved our stay at the Trail Cabin! From the moment we stepped out of the car - the songs of the Wood Thrushes were fabulous! Loved being SO CLOSE to the Appalachian Trail! We hiked every day!
Great for resting, hiking, rock hounding, reading, porch swinging, plant identifying, and being together!
Cabin is SPOTLESS! (And I’m picky!) AC was very good. Perfectly appointed kitchen for our needs (2-3 adults). Comfy couch. Very comfy beds. Washer/dryer. Grill. All perfectly as described!
Tombo, our host, was responsive, friendly, and helpful.
We will definitely return!

We are return guests for the past 10 years. That should prove to be the best review! The cabin is clean, continually updated, and well supplied. It always feels like “coming home”. If you are a hiker, this is the perfect place for you. You can hike to Blood Mountain from the cabin or just take short hikes on the AT. Three little words describe the cabin… It is perfect!

Our fam of 6, kids 7, 9, 11, 13 had a blast starting the summer over Memorial Day weekend! The trail cabin is quiet, easy to access, comfortable, clean, and within 30 minutes of the best North Georgia has to offer. Super responsive host as well! We’d love to come back for longer day hikes on the AT right from the cabin.

Many of our friends and family live in different states. Our age levels are from 60-88 years, did not stop us from gathering at this 3 story cabin. It was a half way mark for all of us to recharge and rebond over an early Thanksgiving meal.
Local neighbors are friendly and the cabin set up made you feel right at home. They have everything you could want or need during your stay...Just close your eyes and imagine....Sitting on the porch swing, hearing the roaster crow in the distance on a crisp cool morning , the smell of wood burning, birds chirping , squirrels scampering around the fallen golden leaves and someone in the cabin yelling YAHTZEE!!!
We decided we need to spend at least a week here, to appreciate everything Suches has to offer ,next time we are planning to walk the Appalachian Trails. ..the trail basically across the street from the cabin, and the view coming up the mountain is breath taking during this time of year. Bring lots of film for the camera.
Now, imagine this, close your eyes ..belly is full of wonderful cooked food, everyone catching up on memories gone by, and your now snuggled up in the most comfy beds, just as your drifting off to sleep you can here the wind blowing a sweet lalabye to the end of a wonderful day.
Thank you to the family who opened their home to some crazy old folks from SC!!
Yup!! We will be back!!!

Perfect for the wine drinking hiker. Close to Woody Gap Appalachian Trail entrance, wineries, and downtown Dahlonega! Thomas the owner is very responsive and responsible as seen in the obvious care of his gorgeous cabin, and he’s been renting it since at least 2007 with renter accolades in his guest sign book. Super host, super place!

Mountain Air!
We have stayed at the Trail Cabin many times and it is always well maintained, continually updated, and SPOTLESS! It is a short drive to Woody Gap where you can access the AT and on a clear day walk the trail one mile to Preacher rock. The trail access is also yards from the cabin and you can hike to Blood Mountain from there. Vogel park is also near. The Trail Cabin and mountain air is a blessing you won’t want to miss!
