About this cabin rental
The Bear Affair Cabin will romance you with its rustic charm and warmth.
This beautifully decorated, all wood, cozy cabin is nestled on the edge of
The Chattahoochee National Forest, with end of the road privacy, just six minutes from Helen. Close enough to see & do everything, far enough to feel like your miles away.
Bear Affair has everything you need to enjoy the serene outdoors. Each side of this adorable cabin offers a vista of the surrounding forest. Look closely and you might even see a deer bounding across the drive. Enjoy barbecuing and sampling some of the local favorites on the dining deck aglow in soft amber lights that illuminate the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Relax in your own fully furnished outdoor living room, complete with cushioned rockers and a love seat made for two or unwind in the warm, therapeutic waters of the spacious, private hot tub complete with a panoramic view of the surrounding forest and custom built stacked stone fire pit.
You wont leave behind the comforts of home as you sleep in the grand, king-sized log bed in the upstairs master loft bedroom, sip wine by the fire, or create a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Come, relax and enjoy and begin your love affair with The Bear Affair. Bear Affair sleeps two. We've added a downstairs sofa-sleeper for a third party.
Please be advised that you are renting a cabin in the woods in the mountains of North Georgia. Most, but not all, roads are gravel and could have an incline or decline. If this is a concern to you based on your driving experience or vehicle you will be driving, please, have this conversation with our representative for more details on your specific property, prior to making your reservation.
There is a camera mounted on an exterior post of the front porch. It is only viewing the driveway.

The cabin didn't leave much to be desired. It had all the essentials we have at our home. We liked the idea of being away from others but not so far away we couldn't reach anyone. So we enjoyed the cabins surroundings also.

Just spent the weekend with my wife at the Bear affair. It was wonderful. The cabins is put together very well. Nice outdoor spaces in the hot tub and seating area under the porch and a sunny breakfast table on the uncovered porch. The cabin is about 5 feet from the national forest. There are neighbors but the cabin is situated in such as way as to still be very private.

This was the perfect place for a getaway. The cabin was very nice and was the perfect size for two people. Most of our days were spent in the outdoor living space. Even with the warmer Georgia summer season, the space was cool and pleasant. Perfect place to curl up with a book or a glass of wine! The lights outside just added to the coziness at dusk. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was cozy, and the living room was perfect for a movie night. We will definitely be back!!

We loved our stay here so much that we asked if we could extend our stay an extra night which was happily granted. Everything was perfect, far enough away from everything and everyone, but yet close enough for all that Helen and the surrounding area have to offer.
We WILL be back!

This cabin was everything we could have asked for and MORE! The bear decorations around the cabin are adorable. When we arrived, it smelled so nice and they had beautiful music playing and made everything very cozy feeling. The bed is SO COMFORTABLE.
We just melted in it. The outside area with the hot tub was such an awesome place to just unwind. We loved how secluded it was but still only 10 minutes away from town. We even had a friend visit us our last night... they don't call it the bear affair for nothing. ;)
I will definitely recommend this place to anyone, over and over and over again. THANK YOU GUYS!

The address and location isn’t actually the same. It says the street number is 41 but the actual house is 431 and we ended up at the wrong house initially. When contacting about the lockbox code not working I didn’t receive an answer. We just had to ride around to locate the house that looked like the one in the photos. Other than that the home is nice and cozy.

This was a very nice cabin. They thought of everything. Leaving little signs about the cabin that answered pretty much every question that popped into our heads as we stayed. Easy to find and it had everything we needed. Beautiful cabin and a very pleasant stay. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely an amazing little cabin!! Loved the location. We went all directions to visit waterfalls and wasn't too far from Helen.

We enjoyed the cabin itself. The drive to it is interesting and the hot tub side faces a road so it is visible to cars and road noise. The fireplace set the tone for our weekend and the upstairs bed was comfy.

This was an amazing place to stay for our first anniversary get away (7 year anniversary). It was cozy and we loved the hot tub even though it was about 18 degrees out. We plan to use the Bear Affair every year for our anniversary trip!

Once again the cabin provided us a quiet relaxing spot in the wilderness. As it is central to all our destinations we can never beat the location. Can’t wait to return next year!

We stayed at Bear Affair right after we were married (second marrigae for both). We enjoyed the quaint cabin and the seclusion of it. We came back this year because my husband was diagnosed a few years ago with Parkinson Disease. He is still fairly mobile with walking aides. Being in this lovley place triggered happy memmories for us. Thank you for allowing us to happier times (he's 85 & I'm 74). It was wonderful!!!

Bear Affair Ahhhh
That porch - we just miss it so!! It was smaller than expected, but I hadn't noted the square footage. The porch gave us plenty of sitting and hanging out space before and after hot tubbing. :) It is THE cutest little cabin! I just wish we had seen a bear. Perfect way to kick off our vacation! Loved the seclusion!
