It was like going to Grandmas cottage. Vintage feel, cozy.
Very clean and had everything you need to spend some “away time”.

The cottage was quaint with nice wooded surroundings and was a convenient proximity to all things Booth Bay Harbor. My friend and I had a very lovely time and the property owners were easy to communicate with. Would recommend.

My wife, sister and I had a wonderful time in the Southport community and a fantastic stay in the cottage. The cottage, it was as if my 12-year-old self awakened in a dream full of warm comforting ambience and feeling at home. A perfect setting for we three.

The host could not have been nicer or more helpful. She helped my husband arrange a lovely surprise of flowers and tickets to the near by Coastal Botanical Gardens. My sister was with me for a few days and then I was on my own. We both felt safe there. Important for us. Loved the location as well. Had a great time driving along the coast and eating our fill of lobster rolls. Loved Maine and the people there. I hope to go back soon.

The cottage was cozy and comfortable. Our hosts took the time to create a welcoming environment. We loved the sun porch for reading and relaxing. The decor fit the Maine vibe. It is conveniently located to area attractions and restaurants.
I enjoy cooking and we usually eat in and take advantage of the excellent seafood markets. The kitchen was well stocked and it had an amazing selection of spices. We were very impressed with the cottage and plan another visit next year

This adorable, cozy cottage was just right for our week in the Boothbay area. Close enough to everything, but on a quiet street about 5 miles from town. The house was well equipped. There are some minor repairs that the cottage could use (weatherstripping on door between porch and kitchen) and a couple of broken windows. A couple more lamps in the living room would also be nice, but are not a requirement for comfort in the space.
We loved spending time in your cottage and Lesa was incredibly prompt and personable before and following our stay. I'd recommend for anyone looking for a small but comfortable stay for two to three people.

This cottage was very well equipped and relaxing, with multiple porches and rooms to chill out. We were very comfortable. The communication with the owner was fantastic. She quickly answered any questions that we had. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed.. good location and very quiet .. only thing we missed was an air conditioner..otherwise the fans were useful

This a comfortable cottage within a short drive of central Boothbay Harbor and it’s many shops and restaurants. Even better, it is well equipped so you can bring your fresh lobster dinner back with you from one of the many near by lobster pounds (do it yourself is always better).
Great communication with the owner if there are any questions. We would stay again.

Wow, you will want for nothing if you stay here, that includes any essentials or the location, it was perfect. Lesa was awesome to work with, everything was smooth sailing.. We used both heaters and fans during our stay, you never know what the weather will be!
The kitchen has more stuff than my kitchen! Every dish, pot or pan, kitchen gadget, lobster pot, towels, pot holders, trivets, spices, everything you could think of plus chilled glasses in the freezer.. We enjoyed our week very much, thank you!

Charming cottage that met all our needs. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very nicely decorated.
Great location with lighthouse and botanical gardens very close. Just one note that we read Reid Park as being just over 4 miles away it's actually over 40 miles.

What a fantastic place! Adorable, sweet, country nautical even?? We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Lisa was incredible to deal with. When we arrived there was a mishap with the cleaning lady she had a tree come through her window. She was unable to be there before we arrived. Lisa and her coordinated and and she rushed over and took care of business! What a delightful stay! We will be coming back next year!!! Lisa and Pete thank you again!!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. It’s very rustic and could use some updates and new linens. It would be nice if beds were made up since we paid extra for linens. If we would have known beds would not be made, we would have brought our own sheets. The location is great. Close to beaches and small towns. Highly recommend the Southport General Store for lunch.

The house is is in a beautiful location. Peaceful and tranquil! The restaurant Robinson's Warf was delicious and close. Boothbay and Southport are beautiful costal towns. This cottage is in perfect proximity to most coastal towns and within a few hours of Acadia! We loved it!

Located in a great spot, close to Booth Bay harbor but out of the busy traffic. Good for couple, but didn't like the bed setup.

I went there with my wife and sister-in-law for 4 days. My sister-in-law is from Florida and had never seen the Maine coast. My objective was to use this as our base of operation and then venture out every day after breakfast to explore. We'd come back in the evening after dinner for a glass of wine on the porch. So we didn't spend much time at the house. It was more than adequate for this purpose. If I was going with the entire family for a longer period of time I'd probably look for a little nicer place right on the water but for what we were doing this was fine. There was a minor mix up about when we were going to check in so we spent the first night without linens and bath towels but I called the owner and she was very aopolgetic and had them delivered the next day.

Simple cottage with basic amenities. Good access to downtown Boothbay and fantastic Maine coastal garden. Nearby Robinson’s Wharf was a huge disappointment with poor - slow service, expensive meals, and average quality food.

We can’t say enough about this cottage! We have been coming to Boothbay Harbor for years, and this was by far the best trip in no small part to the location, the two three season rooms, ample eat in kitchen, lovely living room, master bedroom, and guest room with twin trundle bed. Walk to Robinson’s Wharf, and five minutes to everything the Harbor has to offer. Comes as as advertised, two ceiling fans, working screens for a nice sea breeze, and mini fans for sleeping.
We give this a five star rating, if you are into quaint small older cottages!

The location was perfect. Nice area to wind down. Affordable. Wish the record player was there.
Lovely island.

A charming cottage, maybe a little expensive for amenities. Love the quiet street could walk to cove and famous swinging bridge . Saw a lot of wildlife. Could have used more fans, unseasonably warm with no way to cool house, window fans would be helpful.

This place was pretty much perfect for the low-key family getaway we were looking for. The cottage had everything we needed and made a great home base for adventures. The kids (7 and 3) were comfortable and loved the little back yard, kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and there were several beautiful nature preserves to visit within a ~15 minute drive. There were also many good day trip options in the 1-2 hour drive range. Of course, that's all considering traveling with young children during a pandemic... If it had just been us grownups with our long legs and higher endurance, there were many other places we saw in the area worth exploring. Endless possibilities, many opportunities to be spontaneous. I would rent this place again with or without kids!

What an absolute gem Plumpoint Cottage is. The hosts were simply outstanding human beings, they offered amazing local recommendations for things to see and places to eat, none of which disappointed. They answered all of our questions quickly and with sincerity. The cottage is wonderful, well laid out, comfy had every comfort for a nice quiet getaway. The island itself was picturesque and full of hidden gems -from the Alpaca farm to the many beaches and lighthouses, little trails and, of course, Robinson's Wharf for food and drinks, there is nothing that was missing. The coastal region around offers a ton to do and experiences that we will never forget, and Plumpoint is in a perfect space to be a home base to set out from and a cozy evening spot to return to. We simply cannot wait to return, and a huge thank you to Lesa for the hospitality!

How great to have a back yard and grill. It was so nice to be able to come "home "to such a peaceful setting after a day of hiking and exploring. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'll be back again!
