We were very happy at the museum house. The location is great and the host perfect. Thank you

Unfortunately we arrived very late to the property and were not able to get in that night (we had to stay at a hotel). Once we were able to connect with the property owner, things went much, much smoother. Travelling with my wife and son......which made the recovery from missing the first night difficult. Owner was responsive once we were able to connect and he did try to make things better. I personally enjoyed our stay, but the first night was difficult to overcome for my spouse.

My wife and I along with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson stayed 4 nights at the Museum House. The facility was wonderful in every way that such a facility can be wonderful, and Hans was a gracious and attentive host. We all felt blessed to have found such a perfect place to reside while in town for the Final Four.

Awesome townhouse in museum district
This is an exciting property: beautiful art everywhere, funky multi-story layout, beautiful pool, very quiet, nice off-street parking, kitchen very well equipped, excellent heating/cooling, comfortable furniture, and the most fabulous location for museums, Hermann Park, Rice University, lovely old neighborhoods, and dining.

Our every need was anticipated.
Great location, beautiful home, super nice host, who anticipated our every need. From sodas and water bottles in the fridge to extra plug-ins at our bedside, and umbrellas near the door, Hans thought of everything! The location is beautifully located in the Houston Museum District, and Hans gave us great recommendations for walks, sites to see and restaurants. The only drawback for some may be the stairs to get into the home. They may be too steep and a few too many for some vacationers. We enjoyed our stay at Museum House and would stay there again!

Excellent location, great property
The Museum House is so special. I came in for a long weekend with friends and we had such a nice time. There is a bedroom upstairs and downstairs with a main floor in the middle so there is privacy for all. Everything you need is at the property, including a nice pool but it was too cold out for a swim. The house looks exactly like the photos. We walked to museums, spent time in nearby Montrose, and tried the many wonderful restaurants nearby. I will stay here again next time I’m in town.

Unique property in great location.
Hans had the home very well supplied and was a great host. The unit shares the pool and patio area with another unit so being mindful of your neighbors is a must. The location is a great part of Houston and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Excellent host, property, and location
We chose this property because of the cool factor, excellent reviews, and proximity to rice university. The positive reviews are well deserved! Hans is a great host and a kind person. The pictures representative of the property and the art was appreciated by all. The location is fantastic with easy walking distance to museums, parks, and really even rice university is close. Highly recommend!

Eclectic home in Museum District
A very interesting home filled with beautiful art pieces. My wife and I were in Houston to take our granddaughter to art classes at the Fine Arts Museum— only a short walk away. Location is perfect for museum district plans. Everywhere you turn— there is art. Sort of a “funky” layout, and lots of stairs, but very well done! We would definitely return.

Absolutely Breathtaking
This property was one of the most amazing and interesting properties I've stayed in. Hahn was an amazing host and was very helpful. Whether it was food, places to go, or hospitality, he was right there. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Houston.

Eclectic Oasis
This beautiful town home is tranquil and beautiful. The art collection alone is incredible , it provides an eclectic and fun vibe unlike any other property we have ever experienced. My husband and I stayed alone at the property while doing a business project for a new store opening in nearby Rice Village. We have stayed at ZAZA Hotel in Houston before and noticed that this town home rental named Museum House is in walking distance to ZAZA , and we did enjoy a lovely lunch one day at ZAZA . The location of Museum House is perfect for any reason in this area of Houston --- the Museum District / Zoo , the many nearby Hospitals , or a business reason such as we had. The master bedroom is furnished with a Versace bed . The town home is three levels accessed by stairs. Hans was a gracious host . Our stay at the Museum House was for 3 days. We very much recommend this incredible stay in a very quiet neighborhood .

Great Place - as advertised
This home is beautiful inside, just as the pictures posted show. Hans was very pleasant: met us as we arrived. He had a Final Four packet made out, took time to go over food and attractions with us, and showed us around the house. This home was clean and well maintained. Daily morning walks in this area were refreshing. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home during our trip!!

perfect spot
This house gave our group a perfect launching point to explore the area. We were able to walk to Hermann Park for the zoo, paddleboats and playgrounds. It was easy to run right out of the front door and find an easy 5 mile route to jog. Tons of museums within walking distance and plenty of restaurants nearby (and a grocery store and walgreens not too far). Plus, the metro rail is very close so you can get to many other places easily. The house was very comfortable, and the little extras like the snacks, computer, umbrellas, soaps and extra towels were appreciated. Hans was very welcoming and had the air mattress all set up for us which was very helpful.

Exceptional!!
This is a wonderful and unique townhouse located right within the Museum District of Houston. The artwork is just delightful and creates a very unique atmosphere! The living room, kitchen and bedrooms are all superb! It is within close walking distance of the museums and zoo and close to Rice University. The Hermann Memorial Park is a delight to walk around with the duck pond and little train that goes all through it! It is very close to the Medical District which makes it very helpful for those with medical issues that do not require stairs as there are a lot of stairs in this unit. It is also close to downtown for business related visits. There are several restaurants close by especially at Hotel Za Za which has a superb terrace restaurant that is five star rated. Hans was very attentive and did all he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He provided wine and Keurig coffees etc etc. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a lovely dining room table for four. It helps that his house is right next door with a lovely pool in a common shared area. I very highly recommend this lovely place!!

Delightful from start to finish
My family booked The Museum House for 3 days/nights while we were in town to house-hunt and the property (and Hans!) were just delightful. It was so helpful to have a fully functional home away from home, complete with kitchen and multiple bedrooms, rather than try to operate out of a cramped hotel room with minimal amenities. And of course, the wonderful decor made the hours we spent negotiating leases and doing paperwork all the more pleasant. The indoor jacuzzi....what can I say? A perfect way to relax at the end of some very stressful days. Our only regret is that we didn't have the time to enjoy the Museum House's outdoor features. Hans was so very accommodating and helpful, and we *definitely* appreciated the thoughtful basket of snacks and drinks he left for us. And of course, the location is ideal. It's no exaggeration - the house is well within walking distance to a number of museums, restaurants, and parks. We will absolutely be recommending the Museum House to all of our visiting family and friends throughout the coming years that we'll be living in Houston. Thank you so much, Hans! It was a pleasure!

Great House, Great Location
We stayed one week at this house and it was excellent. The house is exactly like the photos. The owner met us at arrival, gave us the tour and was very gracious - he offered suggestions for nearby restaurants and activities, but after handing over the key we did not see him again - he was great to deal with. The house is fully stocked - even with things you don't expect - extra towels, soap, plenty of trash bags - things you don't want to bring or buy. There is a lot of art and glass - so the warning about very young children is appropriate. But we had three kids with us and after the first day (and me following them around making sure they didn't touch any of the art) they didn't touch anything and were very comfortable in the house. The air conditioning works, which is important in Houston. Overall, an excellent visit and I'd definitely recommend this house.

Great stay during convention in Houston.
Myself and a colleague from work were in town for a convention at the GRB convention center. We travel frequently and staying in hotel rooms is the same the world over. We decided to try booking a house through VRBO during our stay and it was the best decision we made during the trip. Hans was great to deal with during check in and out, and the house was a very relaxing place to stay and wind down between meetings. Our only regret was that we didn't make full use of the facilities and use the pool/hot tub. The house was very comfortable, and even my roommate who is 6'2" commented on how comfortable the beds were. It was also nice and quiet every night, compared to the constant door slamming and hallway yelling we're used to in hotels. The house was in a great location, close to great restaurants and museums, but still only a quick drive over to the convention center for meetings.
This was leaps and bound better than staying in a hotel, and we'll be sure to stay again when we return to the area. Thanks!

Superb location, property, and host!
Our family of 4 had an incredible stay in the Museum House! The location could not have been better - we walked daily to incredible museums and parks and restaurants, and we were an easy train ride to other area attractions and restaurants. We also very much enjoyed our time while in the house. It was comfortable and spacious enough to invite friends over, the kitchen was perfectly equipped (fun coffee mugs included), and there was daily access to the owner's pool and patio as well. The best part about the stay, however, was the host. Hans was so kind and helpful, it was almost as if we were visiting friends. We arrived to a welcome basket, and he was responsive to texts throughout our stay and sent several updates of local goings-on.
Although we were traveling with 2 young children, I would probably not suggest this home to all families. There is a lot of very valuable and very breakable art, and there are also 2 very steep staircases. Our kids were able to 'not touch', and we used a traveling baby gear company to rent stair gates and were fine, but like I said it might be more ideal for couples or families with older kids.
All in all, it was an excellent vacation and I recommend the museum house and Hans with 5 stars!
