About this cabin rental

(Now with Central Air Conditioning! A very unique amenity in our mountain community but one that really makes for a comfortable stay on the 90 degree days which seem to be more common lately!)
This family-friendly, pet-friendly, beautiful, two-story home is located in popular Sierra Pines located a little more than a mile from the Village of Shaver Lake.
There are 4 bedrooms (sleeps 14 in beds plus 4 more in a convertible sofa and rollaway beds) and 3 full baths so there is plenty of room for large gatherings and year-round vacation. Along with a full two car garage to keep your vehicles out of the snow and pine needles, the main level features an open floor plan with walls of windows to enjoy the beautiful forest setting. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace surrounded by a stone hearth. The kitchen is accented with beautiful knotty pine cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. It is fully outfitted for the chef complete with gourmet knife set, spices, small appliances and everything else you might need to prepare your favorite meals. Off the living room is a large private deck perfect for those summer BBQs. Propane BBQ is hooked up to the house for an endless supply of fuel.
The garage doubles as a 500sf game room complete with 55” TV, Blue-ray, internet video streaming, dart board and ping pong with many other games and activities to be added in the coming months. Living room has large flat screen TV with Blue-ray player and internet streaming. You can play music from your device through the sound system in both the Living Room and the Game Room. Broadband Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.
Downstairs there is a full bath near the living room. Upstairs you will find the luxurious Master Suite complete with large Jacuzzi tub along with 3 additional bedrooms and an additional full bath. All bathrooms are complete with granite countertops and knotty pine cabinetry. Our retreat comfortably sleeps 14 with convertible sofas and rollaway folding beds. Our “cabin” is prepared and ready for you to come visit and start enjoying the mountain air at Shaver Lake.
Shaver Lake has year-round activities. In the summer there is water skiing, wakeboarding, and sea-doos that can be rented at the Shaver Lake Marina. There are numerous other lakes, creeks, waterfalls, and hiking trails of all levels of intensity to suit everyone from the casual walker to the most aggressive mountaineer. In the winter there is world class snow skiing at China Peak/Sierra Summit. They have plenty of good quality gear for rent so you can leave the bulky equipment at home and come enjoy the best skiing for literally hundreds of miles.

Great location! Short drive to Shaver Lake. Everything you need for a stay. Only thing is all bedrooms are up a big flight of stairs. Good to know if you have elderly or anyone who struggles with stairs.

We had a very nice time. We all managed to relax and enjoy some downtime. And Malia came up so there were five of us. Everything was so cozy and homey. The house was immaculate. The rooms were comfortable, and the kitchen was well supplied. We appreciate it very much that we did not have to pack too many supplies because they were all available and of hex quality. It was so nice to have all the supplies that you provided. The weather was perfect for taking walks and going down to the beach. We took a drive to look at, the really huge homes. The drive up there was beautiful even with the detour. There was a nature camp going on a couple doors down with highschoolers who had never really been in that setting. We went over to say hi during their campfire and they serenaded us with John Denver Song country Roads that was a treat. Thanks again for allowing us to stay there.

We had 10 adults stay with us on a snowboard trip. The house was very accommodating and comfortable for our group. The check in and check out process was easy and we had zero issues at this property. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone as it was very clean and an easy drive up to china peak.

Our family of 15 had a great time at Kings cabin. Plenty of space for all of us! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our family. It was a real treat having all the coffee we wanted. The garage is loaded w games for the family! All we needed was snow 😩 The cabin is just a 2 minute drive to town. We ran out of paper towels and Erich was quick to get us covered. A few notes to help visitors be prepared: there is no cable so if you want to watch football (or any sports) be sure you either have cable or the necessary apps on your phone so you can share to the tv. There is no “hot tub”, it’s a large and lovely bathtub.

Booked the house for a number of employees doing work in the area. With the large number of rooms and beds it worked out really well and was cheaper than getting hotel rooms for all the guys. They appreciated having a comfortable, relaxing, and homey place to stay.

Stayed here for a weekend with a group of coworkers. We were very impressed with the pictures, and the real thing did not disappoint! The cabin was spacious and clean, with lots of greats games and outdoor gear in the garage! The check in process was quick and easy, and the host left clear instructions for check out process. I really appreciated how quickly they answered any questions we had and smooth the process was. We're also very grateful that they allowed pets! All in all, we had a wonderful time and the lake and it was nice to come home to wonderful place to rest and relax with friends.

This cabin was great and it had so many fun games and recreation stuff for the kids. They spent so much time with scooters, ping pong, magnetic darts, etc…. They loved it. The deck was so relaxing and quiet. The cabin was very clean and supplied with everything you need in the kitchen. We definitely recommend this cabin rental!!!!

We have stayed at King’s Cabin for multiple years in a row and has been amazing each time. The kids love staying there and going to the lake each day. We come back each day and BBQ, play ping pong, and games. A great place to hang out with family and friends. What a gem! This house comes with everything you need for a fun getaway. Tons of games, things to take to the lake like fishing poles and the kitchen is stocked with every pan and dish you could need for cooking. The location couldn't get any better. Was a bit stressed the day of check in since we had yet to receive our access code, but Erich responded just as we were pulling up to the cabin and we were able to enter the cabin. Four of us stayed here for a birthday weekend. Starting with arrival, gaining access was easy, and everything was ready for us to just relax and enjoy. Plenty of blankets, towels, and everything else needed to make the house as enjoyable as possible was at the ready. There is even a communal pantry where extra food is stashed from other renters, so if you forgot something, chances are it might be there already. If I had any minor complaint, it would be that it was 21 degrees outside when we arrived, and the inside was a balmy 51, so it took a few hours for the house to warm up, but that gave us an excuse to head over to the Shorthorn for a few cocktails. I'd recommend that during winter, during days where check-in will happen, perhaps increase the heat remotely. Otherwise this place is great, and we look forward to coming back soon.

The King's Cabin is a beautiful, well kept and VERY comfortable and clean cabin. Great location and very quiet! Beautiful Pine trees surround the cabin. Shaver lake was absolutely beautiful and Town of Shaver are close by with plenty to see and do. The Host was a FIRST CLASS HOST. Easy to communicate with and wanted everything to be just right! Stay was nice. The house makes you feel like it’s a home away from home. Just a few friendly tips. The master bed was to firm for me to sleep on. This place is set up for many guest so I suggest split your showers up, some early afternoon, night and morning. We ran out of hot water. Other than that I enjoyed this place and my stay.
