Looking for the perfect vacation/work vacation destination?
Bellmora Beach House is a short scenic drive East of Charlottetown, (the capital of Prince Edward Island) on PEI’S Points East Coastal Drive. Have fun exploring the many local beaches, restaurants, golf courses, and of course, enjoy the some of the freshest sea food around. The Points East Coastal Drive has more than 50 amazing beaches with the warmest saltwater north of the Carolina's.
We are also an easy scenic drive to Cavendish, Cavendish Beach, North Rustico and of course our Ann of Green Gables.!
Your vacation experience will begin as you drive down the tree-lined red dirt lane where at the end you'll find the beach house surrounded by beautiful birch trees, expansive lawns, mature gardens, and the red sand beach at your doorstep.
The beach:
Just steps from the beach house you'll find the natural calm red sand beach, perfect for couples, families, children and pets. Enjoy long beach walks along the expansive beach, take a dip in the refreshing salt water, collect seashells and sea glass, build sand castles, and at low tide try your hand at clam digging.
A bit about our natural beach:
Our beach and shoreline are always changing and from time to time depending on the time of year, tides and currents you will find seaweed on the beach. We don't remove the seaweed as it helps with erosion and also gives the marine life a place to live and hide from predators. On a rare occasion, we do have jellyfish visit our beach (usually in July) if the conditions are right. There are two types on our shores, one will give you a mild sting. If you rub sand on the spot the sensation will subside. Both types are non life-threatening.
Lastly, the sand actually shifts on an inconstant basis due to the currents and tides. Seawater rises continuously reworking and shaping the sand resulting in more or less sand on the beach during any given season. We love our ever-changing natural beach and we hope you do too!
The Beach House:
Experience the Island way of life in a 3 bedroom 2 bath Cape Cod style beach house with 12 acres to explore and enjoy.
Features include a bright open concept fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area that seats 6 or more comfortably. Enjoy ocean views from almost every window.
Off the kitchen is a screened-in sun porch with a comfortable sitting area where you can enjoy more of the amazing views while sipping your morning coffee.
Relax in and enjoy the cozy living room with comfy furniture, perfect for reading or watching your favorite show. There's tons of natural light, a gas fireplace for the cooler days and more beautiful water views from every window.
There are two well-appointed bedrooms off the living room. Both are decorated with antique furnishings. A full bathroom with shower and tub (with spa toiletries) completes the downstairs.
Upstairs you will find the third bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser and small "office" space with a desk, chair and printer. The room is also decorated with antique furnishings. Directly off the master bedroom is a private ensuite bathroom equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and shower. (with spa toiletries.)
Indoor Entertainment
Complimentary Wi-Fi, Netflix, Crave TV (Canadian Channel) DVD player, a selection of DVD's, board games, puzzles and a selection of books for all ages.
Outdoor Entertainment
Included in your stay enjoy the use of bicycles, (bike helmets not provided) 3 kayaks, (life jackets and paddles provided), beach toys, horseshoe pits, six hole golf chipping course two golf clubs and balls, lawn chairs, beach chairs and a propane barbecue.
If you'd like to explore more of the Maritime's the Northhumberland Bay Ferry to Nova Scotia is only 18 km from the beach house. During the summer months, reservations for the ferry are recommended.
The beach house is also a short distance away from the Point Prim Lighthouse, Orwell Historic Village, Belfast Highland Greens golf course (9 hole) and the Confederation Trail which is great for both cycling and hiking.
If you prefer to just sit and unwind you can enjoy our cozy sitting area in our screened in gazebo. Then, as the day comes to a close, you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets, stargaze or enjoy a fire in our outdoor fire pit.
For a real fresh PEI lobster experience you can purchase lobsters directly from the local wharf 15 minutes away between May and the end of June. Of course fresh lobster is still available outside the lobster season at various seafood markets.

This property has a comfortable three-bedroom house, well-furnished and with plenty of forethought for dogs’ comfort. There were clear indications of expectations for the dogs (all reasonable) and provision of dog towels and dishes.
We hadn’t appreciated that the house looks west toward the beach, so we were treated to beautiful sunsets every night, a real treat.
We didn’t realize how prevalent mosquitoes would be, but it was also very manageable — most days, they were active in the early morning and then again late afternoon and evening.
We loved our stay, recommend it.

We loved out stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Bellmora Beach House. We and our dog enjoyed our walks on the beach which was a few steps away. The sunsets here are truly spectacular! The cottage was very cozy. It’s in a great location close to restaurants and an amazing bakery with delicious pastries.

So Beautiful! Perfect private peaceful location. We will be returning for sure! The hosts were amazing and kind and the property was in perfect order.

This cottage is so very charming. The beautiful birch trees and gardens in the front are so beautiful when you look out at the evening sunset. The house sits very near the beach and the red sand is truly interesting. Twice we saw two bunnies hopping through the yard. This house is a great location for seeing Orwell village and riding the ferry to Nova Scotia where we saw the Museum of Industry. It is also not too far from Charlottetown and Anne of Green Gables sights. The Anne of Green gables musical is so much fun. PEI has so many beautiful crops that we were not used to- fields of shining golden grains and purple potato tops. All of PEI is so much fun to explore and this is such a nice place to come home to each day. The house is stocked with everything from games to cooking utensils. Thank you for sharing such a special place. We hope to return one day in the fall or spring.

Quite beachfront property with privacy and dog friendly. Close to Charlottetown (35 min) and several provincial parks. The kitchen was fully stocked, bathrooms with great water pressure and very clean bedrooms. The living room has board games and a couple streaming services. Great if you love to kayak as the water is very calm and you can try clam digging (which our dog enjoyed!). I would highly recommend if you are looking fora property on the Point East Coastal drive. Must do is the a lobster roll at Point Prim and swimming at Basin Head provincial park

The cabin and property are exactly as advertised. We left with clean clothes from the washer and dryer. If I go back to PEI I will check it to see if the property is available to stay at again. Had a great time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get the flavor of PEI in one location.

The property was exactly as listed and the cottage was even a bit roomier than we expected. It was exceptionally clean and was stocked with everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Communication with the owner was always prompt and we couldn't have asked for a better stay!

This was a perfect week in a perfect home! The grounds are gorgeous (very well maintained) and the cottage felt like home. Everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING, we could have asked for was provided from kitchen products to dog toys to cozy blankets and pillows everywhere.
The home is obviously well-cared for and loved. We certainly loved and would be happy to become "squatters" if only we could! :)
Angela was wonderful to work with and we are hoping to be repeat guests soon!

Another relaxing stay at Bellmora. The weather was less than glorious until my last day. But it didn't matter - the beach house is comfortable, cozy, and the view is just wonderful. Very calming and restful. My dog and I loved our walks on the beach. The property manager and her crew do a great job keeping the beach house tidy, clean, and well appointed. Another great stay!!! Thank you!!!!!

Angela and Steve provide a home away from home. Stayed 4 days with friends and enjoyed every minute! Kitchen and grill were great for cooking. Bedrooms comfy and the views were so serene. Lots of privacy on this large well kept property and walking the beach at low tide was so relaxing. Saw so many beautiful lighthouses. We took day trip to Cavendish and had outstanding meal at The Table Culinary Studio--very pricey BUT worth it as food is all local and lovingly prepared by Chef Hunter. Coopers Market is small family run grocery and is close by --has wonderful meats, fresh fish . Prim Point Lighthouse was interesting and ate at the Chowder House on picnic table overlooking the ocean! Thank you Angela and Steve for sharing your home with us! We made lots of wonderful memories!

Bellmora Beach House is paradise on an island. We had a fantastic time. We loved seeing the 25+ Herons every evening when the tide was out. The house is so comfortable and very equipped. Sitting out watching the sunsets was so relaxing which is what we wanted. Would not hesitate to go again. Thank you for the use of your home. A+ accommodations.

We had a wouderfull time at your cottage. Nature is what it is and nothing that you or we can control. Mosquitos are probably and important key if you wish to do things outside on the property. The cottage provide everything you need to archived your best meal or to order out. Information provided was very useful.
We recommand this place as we understand that nothing is perfect in this world . It is more what your going to do out of it that counts. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Bellmora! Everything was as advertised and enjoyed the quiet area with a direct access to the beach. PEI not being very big It was easy to navigate from one area to another without issues. Highly recommended, plus pet friendly!

We had a great time at the beach house. Everything we needed was readily available and Angela was quick to respond to any questions.
The weather wasn’t the greatest during our stay so we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the bikes or kayaks, but they are easily accessible.
Would certainly recommend this cottage to other couples or families.

A very well kept and comfortable house. The grounds are so well looked after, from the grass, gardens, gazebo etc. a great vacation spot. We would definitely go back!
5.0
The cottage was clean and nearly all comforts were provided. While the beach really is just at the end of the property, it is really more mudflats than beach. Great for digging clams I expect but not a swimming beach.

Quiet, clean, quaint house on the beach! Everything was completely as described, and we couldn’t ask for more. Instructions were clear throughout the house for everything we could think of, including an excellent welcome manual. Thank you!

The Bellmora Beach House is a peaceful property that was an ideal location for getting away and still being within minutes drive of amazing sight-seeing and city excursions. The property itself has beach access, kayaking, golf, biking and other activities on a large private area. Nearby are lighthouses, island tours, restaurants, and many other “all things island”. It was a perfect place to unplug and unwind and also be connected when necessary or desired. We had an amazing time making memories and also being still.

This house was just what we needed. A quiet house with beautiful sunsets. The owners were excellent and answered our questions quickly. The house was clean and a relaxing place. Thank you so much

We had a wonderful day with our family of four at Bellmora Beach House - the location is both gorgeous and idyllic, situated on a very private stretch of land right on calm oceanfront. We found it easy to drive around the island and every recommendation from the hosts was spot-on. It was the perfect, and perfectly charming, spot for our first visit to PEI - watch out, you may not want to leave!

Close to the Northumberland Ferry.
Spacious property.
Beautiful and accessible beach area.
Cottage was well appointed with very comfortable beds.
We purchased freshly caught lobsters from a local wharf, visible from the cottage and just a quick 7-10 mins drive.
Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time at Angela and Steve's! Their house was very clean and comfortable, there were many on site activities, and hearing the ocean every day was a real treat. They are very pet friendly and our dogs also really enjoyed this spot, lots of space to run and explore. The location itself isn’t too touristy, but the quiet cottge experience was exactly what we wanted. Thank you Angela and Steve!

This is just the place for rest and total relaxation. Quiet. Peaceful. Very comfortable. Very clean and well equipped and well maintained property. Great place for taking long walks with my dog.

We have been visiting PEI for several years and by far Bellmora cottage has exceeded expectations. The owners were fantastic and so welcoming and responsive. It was the perfect location, near many key attractions, golf courses and restaurants and yet so private and quiet. With only the sound of tranquil ocean waves, I don't think I have ever slept so well. Staying at this property was idyllic because it offered us a perfect vacation where we could also explore the warm ocean waters and sandy beach just outside the doorstep with our friends and our dog and then relax in the evenings to play board games. I just wish that the mosquitoes did not welcome us so much, but they are everywhere on the island. Thanks so much for your warm hospitality Angela and Steve, we would love to return. Walter, our Corgi wants to live at Bellmora.

We had an incredible time at this beautiful property, especially spending time on the beach and watching the wildlife. The mosquitoes insanely aggressive, but don’t let that deter you - the garlic spray provided really works!

The location is beautiful! It has everything you need like a house, but in cute cottage style. Only down side bring lots of bug spray. The mosquitoes were very bad.

Family getaway to PEI
We could not have been happier with our stay. Everything was as advertised. Our sons spent hours each day on the beach and we had fun digging for clams and using the kayaks provided. The location and property could not have been more peaceful and we would highly recommend the property.

Waterfront fun
My family enjoyed our stay in South Pinette. It was great having access to the kayaks (one double and two singles) so that the group could go out at the same time. We also were able to go clam digging just up the beach and purchase a couple of lobsters at MacAuley’s Wharf across the river. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our feast.
Netflix, Crave and Wifi all worked well. Plenty of games and activities for indoor and outdoor fun.
Angela and Steve were quick to answer any questions. I highly recommend this rental for a family getaway.

Wonderful place to stay in PEI
Bellmora beach house was everything we wanted. Quiet and peaceful location right on the water. We could go for walks along the beach, dig for clams and sit out in the lovely gazebo in the evenings to watch the sunset. Bikes, kayaks and even a mini golf course were there for our use. The place was spotless inside and out. Perfect place for family or friends.

Excellent property in an excellent location
We have just come back from an incredible week in PEI and a wonderful stay at the Bellmora Beach House. The property is absolutely wonderful and our hosts, Angela and Stephen, are terrific. All communications with the hosts were clear and our questions were answered promptly. They also followed up with us to ensure our check-in went well and that we had all we needed.
The property itself is so great. The beach is quiet and private and was a great spot for our dog, Lexie, to explore everyday. Having a pet-friendly option on the ocean was key for this trip and Bellmora was perfect. The hosts even provided doggy towels and blankets to ensure we could keep Lexie clean and dry before she went into the house and that she had a blanket to curl up on.
The kitchen is well-equipped, including everything you need to cook lobster. The bathrooms are clean and spacious and there's even a jacuzzi tub! Water pressure was great, too.
And the wi-fi is excellent! I wasn't sure what to expect given how rural the property seemed, but all five adults were able to connect on our phones (plus a couple laptops) and we had no trouble accessing websites and online maps, plus streaming a couple shows in the evenings.
The indoor gas fireplace was perfect to take the chill off the cooler evening and the outdoor fire pit was lovely for watching the sun set over the ocean.
Overall, the property was incredibly comfortable, clean and well-appointed and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Bellmora!

A slice of heaven!
This was my second opportunity to stay at Bellamora and it was just as incredible as the first time. The home is beautiful on it’s own but add in the location on the water it’s outstanding!! The property is well maintained, the beach/shoreline is private and easy to walk and enjoy. The house is beautiful and feels extremely welcoming - with everything you could think of needing or wanting during your stay.
The biggest plus this time was the ability to bring our dog with us. She was more than welcome to join us and Angela even has a
“Dog Toy/Supply Box” that has towels, dishes, toys and more for us to use if needed. There was even a special dog treat in the Welcome Bag left for us.
Angela connected with us upon our arrival and was easily reached whenever needed and ensured that our questions were answered and requests taken care of. This home is set up with a great basic supply if necessary items plus a few little extras that were appreciated.
Many outdoor chairs and loungers to relax in including a very nice screened in gazebo along with a deck with a screened in porch. Watching the sunset is an awesome event - just sit back and soak it all in.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone but them it may not be available for my next visit.

Beautiful Bellmora!
Our stay at Bell Mora was fabulous! The home is beautiful with meticulous attention to detail and guest comfort. It was the perfect location and the perfect home away from home! The welcome package made a great first impression - after we took in the beautiful surroundings upon our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were great, the washer/dryer came in handy, the gazebo was perfect for quiet time. The sunsets were incredible! The tasteful décor and abundance of windows and natural light made the space comfortable and cozy. I loved the lights at the top of the stairs as well as the 'camp fire' in the screened in porch. I hope that we will be able to make a return visit next year!

Fall Getaway
Excellent cozy cottage with everything you could possibly need. The weather was Fall-Like so the propane fireplace was perfect for the evenings. The beach was just steps away, perfect for long tranquil walks. We even dug some clams which we cooked for a nice treat. The property itself is huge so it was great for some fun with the dogs. And we very much appreciated that we could bring them! The location is also perfect to do day trips to the various parts of the island. Hopefully next time we will go a bit early in the season to be able to enjoy the kayaks, bikes, fire pit, gazebo, etc. Great Family trip. Highly recommend this property. Quiet and Relaxing! It is exactly as described.
