About this cabin rental
A romantic cozy cabin for 2 in the middle of the woods! Hot tub on deck, fully equipped kitchen, electric fireplace, gas grill, TV/DVD/CD player. Located in the heart of Hocking Hills!
We have 16 cabins on a total of 30 acres. We have a wide range of cabins from couples cabins up to cabins that sleep 10 guest. All of our cabins have hot tubs. Located in the heart of Hocking Hills! So many fun activites in the Hocking Hills region including rock climbing and rapelling, hiking, horseback riding, exploring Old Man's Cave, riding ATV's, petting zoos, etc. the list goes on and on. So many restaurants/bars and antique shops to choose from.

The smell when we walked in was so bad. The room was so dirty. The hot tub would not get warm. I reached out to the contact number multiple times with no answer. I needed a 4-wheel drive to get to my cabin. I payed for 2 days and stayed 1 night and got a hotel down the road. I would NEVER stay there again.

Check in was rocky because the detailed instruction email they sent went to my junk folder, and as warned in the email, there was little to no cell service to search for or download emails. Once in, we found the cabin to be perfect for our little overnight away. Everything was clean and neat and the AC worked well so we were comfortable right away. The deck and the hot tube were very enjoyable, but another cabin was visible not far away so the privacy and seclusion I was hoping for didn’t really exist. I was very disappointed with all the litter on the ground around the cabin. Cigarette butts, bottle caps, and plastic trash were common, especially around the fire pit. Fire pit area had broken glass. Overall it was a good stay and we may come back in the fall.

This is a hard review to write because I don’t like to be unkind, but I do think it’s important to be honest. Sadly, we ended up not staying at this property. There were many things that were concerning. The bed was so small and did not have a top sheet. There was only a thin quilt for a blanket. There were dog hairs on the bottom sheet. The bathroom smelled like an outhouse. When we opened the sliding doors, we saw a cockroach on the floor. The deck was full of dead leaves and the chairs outside were filthy. There was trash left around the fire pit. The microwave shelf was full of dust. The top of the paper towel roll on the kitchen counter looked like it got wet and then was never changed out.
We reached out to the manager after we found a new place to stay to share our concerns and to let him know that we would be staying elsewhere. The manager wanted us to have called right away so they could send out the cleaners. This would have been a huge inconvenience for us and no amount of cleaning would have gotten us to stay after finding the cabin in the state that it was in and seeing a cockroach. I tried to text the manger one last time before writing this review, but I was no longer able to reply. We found this also concerning. No amount of refund was given because we did not call or reach out in their desired time frame. We reached out once we checked into our hotel room. We were told we did not follow their policy. Like my title… big disappointment. :-(

We didn’t stay the second night. Hair in and on bathroom sink, moldy shower curtain, dust, debris and mouse droppings under the dirty bed. I took photos and emailed the property manager. No response! There’s lots of other cabins to stay at. Choose wisely!

It was what we expected, wasn't fancy not a lot of extra, it was cute and had what we needed for a couple days. The bed was ok. Great that we could take the dog, he loved it. The driveway was a little rough and the power went out in the middle of the night on our last day was the only negative.

Quiet. Fairly close by the park. Grill was dirty and unusable. Burner on stove wasn't working properly pillows were lackluster but everything else was freaking awesome.

Perfect for quick getaway
We checked into the "cozy cabin" and it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and just general filth. I called management because there was no way we would have stayed there. Management was super helpful and apologetic, as all cabins are supposed to be non-smoking. They were able to move us to another cabin up the road. Huge difference. The second cabin smelled and felt much cleaner and there was no odor of cigarettes. No other complaints, it was the perfect place to stay for a quick 2-day getaway of hiking with our pups.

Perfect Couples Getaway
Overall extremely pleased with the property, location, and cleanliness. Perfect for two people. ONLY DOWNFALL is the tv speakers are blown and the sound was distorted but we had various card games and board games to occupy the time.

READ BEFORE BOOKING
So, overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but there are some things you should know before booking.
So it doesn’t tell you until you have actually booked the property that you are required to drive a 4 wheel drive in the winter, which I think is unfair because there’s not much you can do once you’ve already booked. And you REALLY DO need a 4 x 4!! Even without the ice some of the properties would be extremely hard to reach for a lower sitting car. In our experience, our car made it up to the cozy cabin but there was ice completely covering our drive that was on a slope and had a drop off and we didn’t want to risk sliding back and off of the drop so we called them to try and lay some salt down. They couldn’t get ahold of their maintenance so they ended up moving us into a bigger cabin that was lower on the property which was really nice of them to do. We really enjoyed our stay in the Oleander Cabin! There was an issue with the Hot Tub being green with no chlorine tablets but we also realize that they weren’t expecting someone to be in that cabin so they didn’t prepare it for guests completely but it was an amazing experience. Our main warning is BRING A 4 x 4 YOU ACTUALLY NEED ONE

Great cabin and spa, poor neighbor
Cabin was fantastic, the bathroom did have a pretty strong urine odor though it was clean. The spa was awesome and was already heated when we got there which was an excellent plus. Great communication with postings in the cabin the dishes all of the kitchen appliances everything worked great and was well thought out. The only issue we had wasn't really with the cabin or the management of the cabin but the next door property. Within line site from the cabin there is a literal junkyard strong with broken vehicles and trash. In the summertime this might not be an issue with vegetation covering the sight line but in the winter being located right next door to this place kind of put a damper on the experience. Other than that very good value for the money and the cabin was excellent.

Great value
This cabin was exactly what we needed it to be for a short, intimate, winter getaway in the woods with our pup. The bed was comfy, the hot tub was hot, and the kitchen had the basic necessities. No wifi and poor cell reception meant more personal connection and relaxation, and we enjoyed almost all of the DVDs in the cabin.
I will recommend an SUV or truck to get up the driveway, as a lower car would most likely bottom out at some point. It’s a cabin in the woods, and the driveway reflects that.
My only real complaint would be the floors being a little sticky even when we first got there - but I attribute that to a swiffer wet-jet type residue and the fact that it’s a pet-friendly cabin. We also swept at the end of our stay and picked up way more dog hair than our dog could have shed in 36 hours, but again, it’s a pet friendly cabin so my expectations weren’t super high.

Great stay. Place was as described. Needed a little better sweeping. Under bed and around corners dust balls. Although we appreciated the hot tub. And the chemicals in it. Was just a tad overwhelming burning from the chemicals. We pushed through the burn to enjoy the tub tho. Overall we will stay again in their canins...

Blue rose cozy cabin stay
The cabin was just perfect in size for 2 people and 2 pups. The hot tub was very clean and a nice addition to the cabin. The place really does have everything you need, just need to bring your own shampoo and body soap. It was very peaceful and quiet. Only thing I would suggest to the property owner is to clear it out to make a little bigger front yard because by the time you park, there's not much room for anything else, unless you park further away down the drive, away from the cabin. However, there is a little deck to hang out on in the back where the hot tub is. Overall, it was a nice stay and I wish we had booked for another night.

My "Me" Vacation
Hi. I had booked this cabin after viewing it online for places to stay in Hocking Hills. I spent a few days in Hocking Hills zip-lining and horse back riding. The cabin was secluded, great scenery, hot tub was so relaxing and the location was close to Wal-Mart if I needed any last minute items. I plan on returning and maybe trying one of the other cabins next time. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Cabin was just right for two,
No power when we got to the cabin the only problem we had was there was no screens on any windows so it got stuffy, cuz we didnt want to spend the night with bugs flying around our heads all night by opening the windows. Once we got power back it was very comfortable.

THE CABIN NEEDS CLEANED A LITTLE BETTER SPECIALY ON THE DUSTING PART THE TOPS OF THE CUPBOARD DOORS HAD LOTS OF DUST BUILD UP AND THE CEILING FAN WAS DIRTY WITH DUST BUILD UP THE FRONT STEP WAS REALLY LOOSE HAD BROKEN SCREWS IN THE BOARDS I FIXED THE STEPS BECAUSE MY FIANCE AND I BOTH ABOUT FELL BECAUSE OF THE LOOSE STEPS THE BOARD FLIPPIPED UP ON US BUT OTHER THEN THAT WAS A PRETTY GOOD STAY NICE LITTLE CABIN FOR 2 THE BED WAS NOT REAL COMFORTABLE THO THAT USE SOME INPROVING WE MIGHT BOOK ANOTHER CABIN NEXT YEAR WE SHALL SEE

TERRIBLE.
To start out, the roads getting to the cabin were terrible. My boyfriends truck barley fit in the driveway and it was a big muddy mess. If you have a nice vehicle I do not recommend taking it on any of the roads to Blue Rose Cabins. Right off the bat we thought everything was perfect and the room was nice! We were lying in bed and my boyfriend noticed something hard on his pillow and when we looked it was a bunch of dried bloody boogers. We attempted to call the property manager 2 times during this and neither times did they answer. I then went to take a shower and noticed tons of black hairs all in the shower. Not only that but we found cigarette ashes all in the kitchen sink. It was very obvious that the cabin was not properly cleaned before my boyfriend and I stayed in it. We ended up leaving early because we couldn’t bare to be there knowing everything we had found. We called someone from Blue Rose Cabins yesterday and she was extremely rude and seemed to care less about the situation. We have emailed them twice and still no response. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND BLUE ROSE CABINS.

Cozy cabin
:) I really enjoyed this cabin. I saw some complaints about no stairs to fire pit. I totally understand why there would not be off the back porch. The hot tub is literally right there, and it is a small walk around the cabin, so no big deal at all :). They stocked all utensils and plates, etc. Everything was on when we got there which was also nice. It was cool, and the fridge was on which is nice putting things into a fridge freezer that cold already and not waiting for it to go to temp like other cabins I’ve stayed at. It was clean and cozy. The tv was a little small, but we brought some dvds and just moved closer to it. Again not a big deal at all. :). If you’re trying to unplug from the world, this cabin with privacy was perfect, and great distance from Walmart, restaurant, and Hocking Hills and 5 other parks. There is no cell service or wifi, but that was actually a draw to this property for me, honestly. It was nice to be able to bring my puppy too :). Thanks again, I’d recommend your cabin to anyone :).

Cute little cabin. The bed made for a terrible nights sleep. I wish the fire pit was accessible off the back patio, instead you would have to walk around the property to get to it. We loved the hot tub but would have appreciated the snow being removed from the patio so we didn’t have to walk thru it to get in the hot tub.
