We had a very nice time here. The yard was so nice to sit and relax in and the deer family in the back every morning and evening were a big plus!

Bennett and Shelia’s place was very cute and for the most part comfortable. It had all the essentials. Something to note the sleeping accommodations weren’t the best in terms of comfortability. The place is tucked at the end of their driveway and had a peaceful outdoor area with plenty of seating under the trees.

We were a little disappointed the patio area was not very clean. A lot of cobwebs on the table and chairs. The pillows for the pullout bed did not have pillowcases and we tried to text owner about it but we never received a text back. These were just little things. Overall our stay was nice. The house was clean and it was the perfect location for what we were using it for. We would recommend this property!

Certainly enjoyed our stay at Bennett & Sheila’s. Awesome cottage with lovely outdoor area. Everything we needed to enjoy our three day stay. Great location …close to the Square and easy drive to wine country. Loved the visits from Mama and her baby deer & the resident gray squirrel. Don’t miss this heavenly stay!

My daughters and I had a wonderful stay. It was much too short. The hosts were the best! We arrived early and was able to check in. They were so accommodating. Bennett sent a treasure trove of information. This included restaurant, spa and things to do recommendations. We enjoyed the beautiful patio. Overall, the pictures do not do it justice. It's just so cute. We will be back.

We had an amazing time at the Sonoma Win Country Cottage. Very close to downtown Sonoma and having access to the bikes was a game changer. We used them to get everywhere.

Cute cabin / guest house! Outside space was lovely - our own private oasis. Very quiet. Quick trip to the Sonoma square - only $7 uber or $10 taxi. Sofa pull-out was comfortable. Full size fridge and freezer. Induction stove was amazing - want one! Thoroughly loved our stay!

Our host was very kind, communicative, and helpful. Beautiful grounds, including a great peaceful backyard. Overall, the house could use some care and attention to details- - bathroom sink didn’t drain - furniture is stained/worn - kitchen drawers don’t open/close properly -bed super creeky, but not totally uncomfortable

My husband, daughter and I absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was very light and airy. We especially enjoyed the porch and garden area at the end of the day or before we set out in the morning. Location was convenient to stores and just a short drive to downtown Sonoma. The highlight was watching the deer feed outside the living room window. Host were very accommodating! We can wait to visit again one day!

This was the perfect cottage for me and my husband .. Celebrating a 60th Bday getaway. Cottage is cozy , clean , big windows overlooking a undeveloped lot in back where deers would graze morning and night . Front of cottage had a Beautiful Garden with. Plenty of seating and shade that cooled the afternoon temperatures. It was quiet and serene down a private drive and so close to everything. A must stay. !! Hope to visit again soon. Owners were great at communicating…!!!

Best Host we ever had in VRBO’s! Communication was great, they checked that we always had everything we needed. Cottage was very comfortable and close to town, maybe 20 min walk, I did it the in the morning and wasn't bad at all. Coming from Texas I assumed that the place had an AC, but you really don’t need one. Temperature in town and in the cottage was just perfect! Actually kind of fun to be able to sleep with windows open!! Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

By far my favorite part about our stay here (other than the hosts, who were friendly and nice, and Sheila even gave us a private yoga lesson) was the tree-covered patio featuring several breathtaking trees. On the super hot days we were there, I enjoyed nothing more than taking a book beneath the canopy of green and getting lost to the nature. The guest house is private (it currently abuts a large empty lot populated by a family of deer), but the actual accommodations were only so-so. This includes the bed (incredibly creaky), pillows, kitchen appliances, and shower. In other words, don't expect a luxurious interior, but given the proximity to Sonoma as well as the aforementioned patio, this is still a great place to spend a vacation.

Wonderful little spot for a weekend in Sonoma. Our host was very warm and accommodating. The home was just as pictured and described. Having coffee under the trees in the morning was a lovely way to start a fun day. Wish we had had time to use the bikes. Thank you.

We just returned from a lovely stay in Sonoma. Our hosts were lovely and very friendly. The accommodations were as pictured. Nice size kitchen and eating area and living area with sleep sofa. Master bedroom has a nice walk in closet with lots of storage. The outdoor patio was also great. Good location, but not necessarily walking distance to the square. Two things about the unit - the kitchen is pretty dated and well worn. While everything worked just fine, the cabinets are ready to be retired. The other issue is the step up in the bathroom to the toilet and the tub/shower. I suspect there is a structural reason for the step up, but this does pose a safety issue. Be aware. Some hooks closer the to shower would be helpful.

Lovely cottage close to everything but secluded enough to “get away”. Great base for redwoods, hiking, beach, zip lining, and, of course, the vineyards! Then again, the lovely patio area was almost too much to leave. Always a welcome and relaxing sight on returning to the cottage!

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to stage a long weekend of wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa! It felt quiet and secluded while still being close to things. The listing was an accurate representation of the space (super cute!) and plenty of room for the four of us. Everything was clean and the cottage was stocked with everything we needed. Bennett was very helpful and responsive, and the information he left for us was super detailed! Overall a great place to stay that made our vacation easy and wonderful!

The property is just outside of town in a lovely, quiet and high-end location. The bed was comfortable, the house was spacious with room to relax, prepare coffee or meals, and eat inside or out in the quiet and tranquil courtyard. Its just a short drive to restaurants, wineries, and a bus stop to further investigate wine country. My only complaint is that we didn't plan to stay longer. I fully recommend this property without hesitation.

Wonderful and very private guest house. My wife and I enjoyed the courtyard... a little wine, a little music, a little peace among the wonderful plantings and hardscape. Perfectly located about 5 minutes from the Sonoma square. Great owners!

Cottage was as described and looked like the pictures. I didn't get check in information so I had to email the owner on the day of to get information. We didn't have any hot water for the first 24 hours of our stay which was the most frustrating. We texted and emailed the owner first thing in the morning, he said it would be taken care of within the hour, but we had to leave for a schedule wine tour without showers. When we got back around 4pm, there was still no hot water. After a few different back and forth texts, we finally had hot water on our second night. Would have been nice for the owner to offer some sort of discount or refund for the inconvenience and frustration, but they did not offer anything to make the situation right. Overall, I don't think I'd stay there again.

Five minutes from downtown Sonoma. Casual, comfortable, FANTASTIC patio/ outdoor space, enjoyed the old school CD collection and appreciated the tea selection. The bathroom and kitchen cupboards could use a good cleaning. The mattress and linens need to be replaced/ updated.

We will likely further north next time as we spent most of our time wine tasting there. We did run out of hot water one day but that was noted as a possibility in the check in info. The owner was prompt to address.
