“We had a WONDERFUL time in Kirkwood and we found the house to be very accommodating for our needs. The property was immaculate when we arrived (so 5 out of 5) and you guys were fantastic to work with and easily accessible (5 out of 5). I would far and away recommend this home to others for its great location, view, beauty, and functionality (5 out of 5). I will highly recommend this house and Pyramid Peak to other dorms for next year's ski trip.” ~Gaskin Family, Dallas, TX
"The stay was awesome, again. We will be back. We want to keep this our little secret."

My family stayed out at the house for my wedding at Kirkwood. The home was gorgeous and so spacious. 8 adults and 1 child were there and there was still so much room.
The property management was super helpful as well!
Would be such a great place to stay during the winter!

Great property and priced accordingly. Suggest the owners have the balcony shoveled to avoid damage. The rest was perfect.

This place was perfect for our family reunion! Great location and so well equipped for a family gathering! Loved hiking to all our favorite places and having a comfortable place to hang out together in the evenings.

This place was spacious and clean. Came with a big group of family and friends and we all enjoyed it. The kitchen was great for cooking and the grill was a nice bonus. Only minor things would be that there was dirty dishes and trash left behind from previous guests, but overall it was a great stay.

We had an excellent weekend staying at this property! The house was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was lots of space for 4 families and bunk beds for the kids. The kitchen had every amenity you could imagine and it made cooking easy and fun. There was too much snow to ski in and out, but the lifts were a short walk away and the shuttle easily got us back at the end of the day. The mudroom was great for all the gear. The property management company was helpful and responsive. We all agreed we’d come back again next year. Thank you!

Beautiful space, gourmet kitchen, enough space for 3 families, communicative host.
The only (very mild!) disappointment was that the insane snowfall this season prevented us from being able to ski in/out, but even with that the walk to the lifts was short (less than 10 minutes).

Great house, the only small issue was the fire alarms all went off in the middle of the night for no clear reason (no smoke smelled).

Great for large family gathering
Beautful home, fantastic kitchen with everything you can 8magine for large group meals. Lots of space for our grandkids to run and play hide and seek. The playroom downstairs was great have a space where the kids could play and adults could be upstairs.

Great time in kirkwood
The house had ample room for our 13 guests, and still had beds to spare. The check in process was a breeze, and digital lock worked fine.
The kitchen was great for cooking with our large group, and the two dishwashers are a nice touch. The foodies in our group loved the large gas stove.
It wasn't trivial to walk up to the nearby run, but it was quick, and walking down the hill at the end of day was easy; we would be back home on the couch in under 5 minutes after popping off your skis.
Overall this was a great house/experience, highly recommend!

Fabulous getaway
Exceeded my expectations. The house and surrounding area were absolutely beautiful, and the property management was very quick to respond, even during the weekend.

Family Event
Beautiful home and the kitchen family room, and eating space was perfect. Very open concept. The kitchen was stocked with every type of utensil, bowl, serving platter and electronic device you could ever need. The 3rd story loft was very hot due to our inability to open any windows for 2 days. The air was so smokey which was not the fault of the owners. Thankfully they provided a fan to make it bearable. The only complaint would be the huge construction going on right behind the house. This also was not the owners fault but very loud early each morning. Looks like they should be done soon. The management company was awesome and accommodating both times we had called for product. I.e. toilet paper etc. Thank you for a wonderful place to have our parents 60th anniversary.

Beautiful home worth every penny
We really loved this home plenty of Room for our whole family there was 15 of us. The only thing was the beds were very uncomfortable (hard ) other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and the altitude is hard to get used to 8000'

Awesome Place for sure would stay again!
Large family room / stocked kitchen making it very nice to entertain. Everything you need to enjoy the mountain air and Kirkwood!
Only suggestion is to add mattress toppers on the master bedroom beds, everyone said they were to firm. Also the master shower upstairs could use a adjustable head.

Amazing home!
This is an amazing home! Lots of space for the family--and the little kids loved having their own space in the loft! Unlike other rentals, this home has plenty of serving bowls, mixing bowls, pots/pans--make cooking Thanksgiving dinner very easy! The description on the website is very accurate!

Wonderful Home
Fresh air and a peaceful feeling is what this home offered us. The children loved the loft that was adapted for children, it was adorable. Great amount of space for my family. The only thing was that we kept having trouble with the only tv downstairs and the WiFi. It must say a lot that a big family from silicon valley was able to overlook no wifi, tv and low cell phone signal with no problem. Thank you!

Beautiful, comfortable house
This house is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean (the high cleaning fee made sense once we saw the size of the house and the condition in which it was readied) and has absolutely everything you might need during your stay -- probably two or more of whatever you're looking for. The central living/dining/kitchen area is somehow simultaneously huge and cozy. We had a wonderful stay!

Nice Place
Nice place away from the hustle of Lake Tahoe. Lots of great space to spread out. Beautiful views from the porch. As an FYI. We went in June and there is no AC. We left the windows open at night per the managers' suggestion. In the morning there were dead gnats all over everything in the kitchen and dining room. It took a while to clean up. The management will not compensate for that as it is "out of their control". Other than that we had a great time.

Gathering
The place was great, but it had the worst bbq an old beat down charcoal weber style. Come on, really!

Great Board Retreat
We had our annual school board retreat at the Palisades home. The location was beautiful and the house was even better. The only negative (nothing to do with the property) was that there was almost nothing open in July and gas was over $5.00 a gallon... but other than that it was an amazing retreat!

PERFECT for a group
The house is PERFECTLY designed for a group. Great kitchen for preparing big meals for family and friends, great sleeping arrangement, and the common space is excellent. Location is really great for ski-in and ski-out (although we did have to climb up a huge snowbank due to this year's incredible snowfall -- it was fun though!). The condition of the house is beyond excellent. Can't recommend the place enough.

Great for BIG FAMILIES!
This house was awesome! Very spacious and well equipped!
Positive things about the house:
- The house is very spacious. Everyone was spread out and had their own privacy. Usually when you go with a large group privacy is minimal, but we were all pretty spread out. We didn't get to utilize the patios (because it was covered in snow) but the property pictures looked great. LOL!
- The kitchen had everything! Usually plates, cups, and utensils are scares, but the property had well enough to provide for everyone. They also have 2 dishwashers! None of us had to wash dishes which was great! They had plenty of serving dishes, pots/pans, baking racks, etc. The older kids baked cookies and heated up frozen dino nuggets.
- The main floor has surround sounds. There's an aux cord right by the telephone.
- The wifi worked great and even if we weren't on wifi, we were still able to get service up there no matter what cellular service you have.
- Entertainment area: this was on the second floor downstairs. They had a pool table and a tv. The kids were able to hook up their Nintendo Switch. While the adults played some pool.
- Location! The location was perfect! You can literally walk down to the ski resort and go snowboarding/skiing. You can even go sledding in the street. Not a lot of cars go down that street (well at least not when we were there). So the adults and younger kids took advantage.
The only negative thing that I can say is that the loft area (especially one of the nook rooms) does get pretty warm. The property management is aware of this that's why they have a fan in that specific nook. The property management was great. They were very responsive when we needed help. They plowed the driveway for us a couple times so that we wouldn't get snowed in.
We just wished that we had extended our stay a little longer. 3 days and 2 nights was not enough, but it was still well worth it. Definitely going to book this property again in the future!

Perfect in every way!
I have to say, I have rented quite a bit over the years for a large annual family reunion, and it's actually really hard to land a spot that hits all of the things that make a group trip absolutely unforgettable!
Room accommodations: We had 16 adults, and there was a comfy bed for each adult. We all got amazing sleep which is so important for an active weekend! And the best part is that the beds were all very comfortable. When you rent a lot, you realize where owner splurge (above and beyond) to ensure that guests are comfortable. Mattresses were great, down comforters were plush, sheets and linens were all clean and smelled fresh. And pillows... yes, the pillows were amazing.
Space: Everything in this house is meant for ensuring that large parties are extremely comfortable and able to relax. The owners have thought of it all. Kitchen is massive and when you are cooking for 16 people, you don't realize how amazing it is to use 1 very large pot/pan. Toaster fits 6 pieces of toast at once, coffee maker has heater thermoses, and large pitcher to brew multiple pots of coffee and keep them hot for all guests. We were able to all sit down and eat together as well, which was really special!
Location: Wedged between 2 large peaks in the Kirkwood valley, you have amazing views from the balcony. But the proximity to so many small lakes and hikes made this the most ideal location I have found. While we stayed in the summer (offseason) there wasn't very much open but the general store had everything we needed.
We had a blast, we will be back to this amazing rental.
Recommendations: Larger coffee brewer, more furniture out on balcony, specific instructions for fireplace (we couldn't figure out if there was gas or not and decided not to have a fire). But that's literally all I could think of. Great cabin, thanks for having us!

Stunning home right in the thick of Kirkwood
This house was the ideal location for our mix of powder hounds, non-skiiers, and small children. It was perfect for spending the whole day in for those so inclined, as well as providing ski-in access to the slopes (with a short traverse or walk to get to Cornice Chair or Timber Creek) Beautiful views of the valley, lots of communal space including a great, well-stocked kitchen and a play room with pool table. Our kids were too young to stay in the loft by themselves, but that area would have been perfect to pack some older kids into, giving the adults privacy. We will definitely be coming back!

Spectacular Time in the Mountains
This house was absolutely amazing!!! There was space for everyone to feel at home. We had several teens in our group. Between the upstairs loft, downstairs lounge, and sledding on the side hill, they had room to spread out, so the adults could enjoy the main fireplace living room and dining room. The kitchen is well equipped and immaculately clean! It had everything you could imagine needing for preparing meals for large groups. The best part TWO dishwashers! The bedrooms were spacious, lots of clean towels and extra pillows. Everything was VERY clean! Oh, I forgot to mention the enormous mud room. Lots of benches an hooks for guests to strip off and store their equipment. There was plenty of parking too. We fit 2 cars in the garage and 4 in the driveway. There were a few sleds in the garage for use as well. The location could not have been better! And, being so close to the slopes, the kids were given free reign to come and go as they pleased. The mountain explorer's were happy, and our snow bunnies who liked hanging in the cabin, couldn't have been more pleased. The kitchen is well equipped and immaculately clean! It have everything you could imagine needing, for preparing meals for large groups. The best part TWO dishwashers! So helpful with a large group!!! Also, the checkout instructions were super simple. We had to do very little compared to other placed that we stayed. We truly felt spoiled staying in the gorgeous mountain lodge! Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us!

Basically positive.
This really is a beautiful home and a lovely location. Our family enjoyed it so much. My major objection is that the beds in some of the bedrooms are rock hard. The master bedroom particularly was very uncomfortable. The kitchen is beautifully supplied.
