Small condo with great location! Lifts are directly across the street! Snow cats were loud but otherwise no complaints!

Ski in, ski out. No need to worry about the parking. We had several big powder days during the stay. Just got up, walked to the lift and enjoyed the fresh snow. Nothing can get better than that.

Greatly affected by the weather. But wasn't able to access the unit the first night of my stay, and am unable to get refunded. Although it looks like you are buying trip insurance when you book, it actually takes a separate step. Love throwing money into a hole.
Anyway...
The room I booked was switched without my consent. Just happened.
No passcode was supplied in the "how to check in" mail, Had to call from the hallway in building to get a new working door code.
Heater was not producing heat (steady 58 degress) - had to call maintenance to get a portable heater in the room.
When I was eventually able to access the unit, it was unkempt. Beds not made, fresh towels, etc not available. The cleaning team (who were very nice) did finally arrive.
Bed - very comfortable.
overall - as title - a bummer.

I think that if it is physically impossible to get to the location (both directions of 88 was closed), there should be some SMALL amount of compassion/ even some minimal credit towards a future stay. They declined because the people at this place are shady, unprofessional, and I would never recommend to stay here. Be aware -- I have heard that the roads to Kirkwood have closed multiple times throughout the season -- and they are well aware of this -- in fact they sent me a msg the day of saying the place wouldn't be ready in time for checkin because of road closures. They suggested insurance for rentals, I get that. But you're basically renting out a place that is just okay for exorbitant prices with the knowledge that they will pocket the money MULTIPLE weekends WITHOUT having to actually have guests. This should be considered fraud. Even Kirkwood ski lessons, etc give you no grievance because if you can't physically get there (OR the employees even), then it should be taken into consideration.

Modest 1 room apartment just steps away from the slopes. Very much ski in and ski out. The apartment is dated and a bit dingy, but met the needs for a ski weekend. There is a microwave, dormitory fridge, coffee maker and a toaster, so with a little planning and some microwavable dinners from Trader Joe's we were good to go. It is absolutely necessary to bring your own food which can be prepared in the room as there are very little services at Kirkwood, especially in the evening. Just Cornice Pizza next door which has 4 pizza's (no customization) and a couple salads. Would stay here again

Everything we needed for a weekend ski trip, and the location is impossible to beat with the ski lift just across the street

The location is about as close to the Cornice Express lift as you can get. Perfect for a few nights and days at the mountain. The dishes, silverware, coffee maker with coffee and teas, and toaster were a nice surprise and went well to compliment the mini fridge and microwave that were advertised. Walls are a bit thin in this old building, so if you have a light sleeper, I'd recommend earplugs or the plows might keep them up all night. The room was neat and staff checked in on us after check-in to ensure we had what we needed and found the place satisfactory. We found it to be a great value for our time here. Would recommend and would stay again.

Amazing location. As advertised.
Downsides are minor. No cutlery, or dishes, just cups. Roku is really old and wouldn't load a lot of times or apps. Used wifi for the most part.

Did the trick
We needed a place to sleep and shower for a couple of nights, and this place did the trick! Thermostat was broken, but it's summer anyways and with an open window and a fan running the climate was fine. We let maintenance know and he acknowledged they'd come out to fix. TV worked, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker made it easy to store and heat up a few small things to eat, and easy to pack up and go when we were ready. Contactless check-in and check-out were both well explained and easy to do.

Bed comfy, no a/c or hot water.
If it was winter and you ski this unit is literally across the street from chair lift.
However in summer HOT. No AC. And no hot water, luckily it was hot so cold shower ok.
Basically a quiet area except from 4pm to 10 pm you may have wedding party DJ and music as outdoor wedding venue also across the street. bEd super comfortable. Room clean. Safe area. Silver lake is only 5 miles away and its amazing.

Father son ski trip
Easy peasy.
Tough times with COVID and so much still shut. We were warned to bring groceries so it’s on us.

very convenient location
basic unit but functional. Located 50 yards from the chair lift, so if skiing is the goal you can't beat it. To my taste some other guests reeking of marjuana was off-putting, but I guess this is beyond your control

SO close to the slopes!
A few things to note:
- the sink needs a little love as you can't wash your hands without the water backing up and not draining properly
- The bottom drawer broke when trying to open it. 'Broke' meaning the track came off and the bottom of the drawer fell out..

Awesome location steps from the lifts!
No nonsense space in a PRIME location. The lifts are directly across from the unit. Loses a star because the walls are thin (bring ear plugs) and unit doesn’t have cups or dishes which would’ve been helpful. Check in directions need to be clarified - they weren’t clear and we didn’t arrive until after midnight. Our access code also didn’t work. Thankfully, the 24 hour attendant picked up, albeit half-asleep, and helped us figure out how to get into our unit. Having said all of that, we’d stay here again because the location is hard to beat!

Paper thin walls and not much to the unit.
Could hear the neighbors TV and snoring all night long. There where no cups or plates available, coffee maker but no cups to drink your coffee. The unit could be outfitted better since Kirkwood has no real options for dinner, you're on your own.

It is all about location
Location, location, location...
The unit is comfortable and clean. A bit rustic but totally works if you are there to ski. WIFI never connected but other than that had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again.
