About this house rental
The Pacific Chart House is a large 2 story home that literally sits right on a sandy beach facing the Pacific ocean. Located in the Bay Shore community on the beach in Waldport, this home's backyard is the Pacific Ocean! With 4 large bedrooms (all with king beds), a full futon in the sunroom, twin sofa sleeper in upper loft and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room, this home sleeps up to 8 people and is perfect for vacations with family and friends. There are 3 bathrooms (a half bath, a 3/4 bath, and a full bath), a desk/work area, a kitchen and dining room that look out over the ocean, and a large living room area. This home has lots of large windows to let the sunshine in, or to watch Oregon's dramatic storms on rainy days.
The home has three TVs (one 70" that is great for sports and movies!) with cable, Roku in the master bedroom, bluetooth soundbar and 4K Blu-ray player, free WiFi and all the necessary bedding, towels, and kitchenware that you might need. There are 2 beautiful, large fireplaces to enjoy during stormy days. On those warm summer days you can enjoy the whole house air conditioner! If you enjoy watching the waves roll in, or star gazing by the ocean, this home is perfect! You can step out the door, sit in the sandy yard and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea, or you can sit in either the downstairs sunroom or the upstairs enclosed deck and enjoy the ocean views. There's also an upstairs porch that faces the beautiful Alsea Bay bridge, the bay, and the Alsea river. Get out and play --night or day-- in the sand & surf, or curl up and relax in this large but cozy home...either way, this is a perfect oceanside retreat!
Guests of this home also have access to the Bayshore swimming pool on a daily fee basis. The swimming pool (open seasonally in the summer) schedule of swim times will be posted at pool entrance. Renters must provide their rental agreement and photo identification to gain access. Access may be restricted during busy times.

We had a lovely time at this home. Super comfortable. Great sun porches with beautiful upstairs view. Very well stocked kitchen. The dunes were fun for the kids to play. A hot tub would have made it perfect!

This home had a beautiful view of the ocean and dunes. Step out the back door onto the sand. Owners take great care and have great taste in modern design and fun decor. Loved this house, it was awesome. Didn’t want to leave. 😊

The house was perfect for my elderly parents, my 1-year-old grandson, and everyone in between. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and serving dishes we needed to cook at home. The dog-friendly home is right on the beach so dog walks were easy and abundant. Groceries are better purchased in Newport but it's a short drive. Easy in and easy out stay—great clear communication.
If I had to look for a negative it would be the deep clean on furniture and under is past due. But that is being picky because it did not affect how we relaxed or spent our time. It's a top-tier cost for location but not for furnishings.

Our complete family of 6 adults enjoyed the HUGE beach which was nearly private. Lots of room for puzzles and card games. View was fantastic however you have to walk 100 yards or so to the freezing Pacific Ocean. The beach is pristine.

This home was great for our group. Had private areas for two of our group to attend online work meetings, beach toys for the kids, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, quick walk down to the beach, sand right out of the back door for kids to play in, area for an evening campfire, and more. Everyone in our group of 6 enjoyed it!

Everything was perfect. Very well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc for the kitchen. Bedrooms comfortable and living room spacious and was able to seat our big group. The view and location spectacular!

This property was perfect for our group. We had “kids” ages 15-24 and there was plenty of space to be together, and spread out. We loved the beach out the back door and found shells and sand dollars to our hearts content. The kitchen was stocked, the bbq was great to use, communication with the property owners was easy with a quick response. We would stay here again!

House has direct easy access to the beach which was important for us. House itself is pretty neat and we enjoyed it. Few cleanliness issues but nothing major considering it’s on the beach and sand is everywhere. Only complaint is that check in is so late (after 5pm). Also my access code to the front door didn’t work on check in and I couldn’t get ahold of the property manager. After a hour of trying I finally called the emergency after hours line and was able to get in. Overall the house was worth staying.

We visit the Oregon beach frequently and have a large family so we try to find the right balance of size, location, and price. This property cannot be beat. It has a cool floor plan that is also functional for larger groups and our younger kids played in the sand behind the house while adults played games at the kitchen table. We loved the decor and charm this house.

This was a great property for two families and 3 dogs. We all loved the decor and updates to the house. There was a lot of room for all of us. Small kitchen for a big group. A firepit would have been a great addition to our experience. Check in and out very convenient.

Great spot right on the beach. Wasn't aware about the no-boat in driveway policy but the management staff was nice when they informed me. They had a lot I could park my small boat which was helpful, but I would bring a hitch lock if you need to park a boat there.

We had a great time at this house! The location can’t be beat and it was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of bedding, towels, and kitchen utensils. We’d definitely stay here again.

Pacific chart house
House was very adequate for our needs for a 4 night stay. Ran out of toilet paper and paper towels and had to go purchase some. Felt property management should provide a better supply. Also 5:00pm checking is way too late. Would like to see a 3:00pm checkin. Parking was a problem. Had to park one vehicle 2 blocks away when driveway had room for off street parking for all our vehicles. This was a hassle to deal with.

This house was perfect for my family! We had 7 adults, a three year old, and our dog that made for quite the cozy experience in this beautiful house.

Terrific house with easy access to the beach. House was comfortable with everything we needed for the stay and with plenty of space. There were a couple minor things that we contacted the property manager about. The property manager was very responsive and made sure everything was taken care of.

There were plenty of dishes, towels, etc. for everyone. Beds were very comfortable. The first floor sunroom does not have very much of an ocean view because the sand has accumulated. AMAZING views from the second floor though!

Bayshore Beauty
This home was perfect for our family we had five kids and five adults and there was enough room for us to spread out and play games we also had enough room and bedrooms for all of our guests to sleep comfortably. My favorite thing about this home was that we had beautiful views of the Waldport bridge and the ocean. Where we were located was not far from gathering groceries, exploring the little shops downtown, or driving up the coast. Upon entering the home the house was clean and well prepared for our stay. We wanted to cook most of our meals in the home and everything was stocked well we just had a problem with the stove and the elements not working efficiently. This made meal prep a little challenging. Overall this home was the perfect fit for our family we spent most of our time by the ocean. We had an amazing vacation and hope to return again! Thank you helping us to create such an awesome experience!!

Great to actually "vacate"
Was very thankful for the opportunity to relax in such a clean and accommodating home. We would definitely like to come back some time in the summer (perhaps 2022 since it's all booked 2021) to experience some warmth - but even the rain made things cozy and special!
