About this house rental
Looking for peace, relaxation, a breathtaking water view and, maybe, some kayaking, fishing or crabbing off your personal dock? Or want to lie in the sun and listen to the waves crash on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean? You can have all this and more at our tranquil waterfront bungalow just minutes from the beaches of Ocean City, Maryland.
The home, 1,400 square feet in area and newly remodeled in 2017, features an eat-in kitchen, spacious screened-in porch, living room, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Views from the kitchen, living room and porch open up to the water. Included in the rental package are a private dock, two kayaks, two paddle boards, six beach chairs, three bicycles, a grill, a smoker, and plenty of off-street parking. And for those unable or unwilling to fully disconnect, there’s always WiFi and several TVs. The home’s cooling and heating are central.
The eat-in kitchen, complete with farm house sink, rustic table and gather-around island, comes with everything you’ll need, including range, microwave, super-quiet dishwasher, main fridge with icemaker, separate beverage fridge, pots and pans, dishes and utensils, coffee maker, separate Nespresso machine, toaster, slow cooker, griddle and blender.
A stand-out feature of the house is its spacious (24x10) three-season screened-in porch with its breathtaking water views. It’s perfect for sipping morning coffee or evening drinks, all while taking in sunrise or sunset, or just enjoying the fauna with its dozens of bird species that can include egrets, herons and the occasional eagle.
Equipped with wrap-around window panels that can be lowered or raised as desired, the porch features two seating areas – one for relaxing, the other for meals or games. And if the sun’s too bright, just push the button to roll out the electric awning.
For a change of scenery or a connection to the outside world, you can turn to a large flat screen TV in the home’s living room where you can spread out over two couches or claim for yourself a comfy lounge chair with ottoman. For tunes, you can choose music channels on the cable TV or travel back in time and fire up our turn-table with its eclectic selection of LPs. Board games and some books are also provided.
The three bedrooms, each with ample closet space and its own TV, come with one king size, one queen size and one full size bed. Linens, comforters, pillows, pillow cases and towels are provided. The main bathroom comes equipped with washer and dryer.
For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, the home includes a gas-started Weber charcoal grill and a separate smoker (the “Egg” type). Propane and charcoal for the grill as well fire-starters for the smoker are provided.
For your water, beach and other activity/relaxation needs, the two kayaks are suitable for adults or teens, the stand-up paddle boards are full-size. The bikes are one adult male mountain/road bike, one adult female leisure bike and one early teen girl bike. Some life vests and helmets are provided but you are encouraged to bring your own since we might not have all needed sizes.
The kayaks and paddle boards can be launched straight from the home’s private dock. A detachable dock ladder is provided. Please note that if you use our kayaks and/or paddle boards, you will be doing so at your own risk.
The rental comes with a complimentary pass to the Ocean City Beach Club (at 49th Street in Ocean City) that includes parking privileges on a private lot as well as access to a beachfront restaurant, bar, pool and beach volleyball court (there is a pay-as-you-go fee for the use of the pool).
If you are bringing a boat (please nothing larger than a standard pontoon) or jet skis to the house, you will be able to store those in the off-street parking area immediately adjacent to the home. The area will easily accommodate one pontoon boat and two cars.
Aside from being just a few minutes away from Ocean City and all of its attractions, the Ocean Pines community, where the home is located, offers a long list of amenities, including but not limited to golf, pools (five to choose from), racquet sports, recreation and parks, restaurants, marinas, a yacht club, a community center and farmers’ market. Golfers can also enjoy several award-winning golf courses in the area, including a Robert Trent Jones-designed 18-hole golf course just a few minutes away. For rainy days (and off-season), there is an indoor swimming pool.

And, if you wish to venture out a bit, a close-by popular attraction is Assateague Island with its acclaimed wild ponies and abundant wildlife. Also just a few minutes away is the quaint little town of Berlin with its great restaurants and antique stores. For more serious shoppers, there are the Tanger Outlets in Ocean City and nearby Rehoboth Beach.

The house was very clean, comfortable, well stocked and had beautiful views. We were able to bring out boat and crab off the dock. Pools and beach were close by. I can’t think of one complaint! Great stay and will book again.

This is an amazing property. First the setting…on a quiet street with the screened porch looking out over the water in Ocean Pines. Across the water is one house and a boathouse. Nothing else cluttering up your view. Beautifully serene. Then the house…so much attention to detail. Screened porch with glider, comfortable chairs and table for eating outside. Living room with comfortable sofas, good light for reading, a record player with a great selection of albums, and a curated selection of books. Main bedroom with memory foam mattress! The kitchen is stocked so well…spices, essential staples and food storage items…all here. Electric griddle to make pancakes for a crowd! We even used the ice cream maker to stir up a batch of frozen yogurt. I could go on with all the wonderful things about this house but the last one I’ll mention is the alphabetical list of where items are located in the kitchen (cookie sheets, cutting dishes, serving bowls, wine glasses). Quick drive into Ocean City on the Highway 90 bridge or access to roads leading to Assateague and Chincoteague. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Whether it’s sitting on the screened in porch overlooking the canal or kayaking in the canal. House is updated and totally stocked with anything you need. Had a wonderful time!

Absolutely relaxing and fun!
Our family LOVED this vacation home! Our kids enjoyed kayaking and going out on the paddle boards. We relaxed on the deck with a cup of coffee each morning - we fished off the dock and saw the most beautiful sunsets!
The owners are so nice - the house is clean and well stocked with everything you need! The beds and furniture all very comfortable. We would stay here again and would highly recommend to families.

Perfect House
I have rented many houses in many locations and this house is one of the best by far. It has everything you need and then some. The owners were great to work with and responded immediately with any questions I had. The location is perfect and just a short drive from the hustle of Ocean City but in a quiet community that is peaceful and relaxing. My favorite part of the house is the back porch and I already miss it!! We had coffee there every morning and sat watching the wildlife and the waters floating by every evening.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Jurij & Lynn's property. The house was very clean and well provisioned. We spent most of our time on the spacious screened in porch with beautiful views. We would absolutely return and have already recommended this house to friends!

We had a wonderful time here. The views from the screen porch were lovely. We especially enjoyed kayaking around Manklin Creek. Lots of egrets and herons, and we were lucky enough to see the eagle who lives across the creek from the house. The owner were very responsive and helpful. We couldn't recommend it more highly!

Amazing - would not change a thing!
This house is truly a gem. It was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. It is sparkling clean, roomy, and welcoming. My kids were almost crying at the end because they didn't want to go home! We loved that it was in a quiet neighborhood right on the bay, but a quick and easy drive to the hustle and bustle of Ocean City - and the parking pass sealed the deal. Thank you for such a memorable vacation!

Amazing getaway
This home away from home really took the cake. The home was in beautiful condition and extremely comfortable. The owners were very responsive. When we arrived, there was a binder on the table containing instructions, an alphabetized list of where to find useful appliances throughout the house, and most importantly- a fully stocked beer fridge! Item #1 in the binder is to relax and grab a beer before continuing to read. How awesome is that!? We made sure to replenish the beer we drank during our visit to keep the hospitality going for the nest guests, because this was such a welcoming and above average experience! The house is located very close to the Ocean City boardwalk, but far enough away that it was peaceful when we were at the house. The grill was clean and in good working order and we made sure to take the kayaks out for a spin while we were there. The inlet has many little nooks to paddle through and we explored to our hearts’ content. Because of how peaceful the area is, there were also lots of birds! We took our meals on the enclosed deck and really enjoyed watching a blue heron mosey around, hunting for his breakfast as we sipped our coffee. This house was so wonderful, we will absolutely be back!

We were blessed to witness a bald eagle, herons and other birds while enjoying our morning coffee. We brought our own binoculars, but the home is equipped with several binoculars and a spotting telescope. The kayaks were a wonderful bonus and our primary motivation for booking. We paddled to the end of the community were the creek meets the bay inlet.
The home is furnished beautifully with comfortable furniture and delightful beach themed motif. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need (extensive cookware, bar glassware for any beverage of choice and even condiments).
We stayed with another couple and there was plenty of space to "spread out" to enjoy watching tv in the living room, playing cards in the kitchen and/or reading/nature watching on the screened in porch.
The walls are also nicely insulated. My husband is a light sleeper and we didn't hear others in the next rooms or outside of the house.
It is conveniently located minutes from Ocean City's Boardwalk and Assateague Island. There are great restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store nearby. It's the perfect mix of being so close to things, but also away from the "hustle and bustle" of the more commercial OC vacation scene.
The owners are amazing! They shared great dinner suggestions, were great communicators and wonderful hosts! We look forward to a future trip back to their lovely home.

We spent three days at Jurj and Lynn's house and we have only good words to share about our stay. The owners are very kind. The house is beautiful and the location is gorgeous. Plus in the house there is everything one may need and even more. To summarize it was one of the best stays we have ever had! And we are sure that we will go back!

A really nice home, perfect for those who can not do stairs. It was clean, well stocked, Quiet community friendly neighbors, and the location is close to many of the attractions Eastern Shore has to offer. I look forward to my next stay here.

Amazing stay!
My family and I had the best time at this property. The views are amazing! I loved sitting on the dock and watching all the birds. We even saw a bald eagle! The use of the paddle boards and kayaks kept my kids entertained. They used them every day. The location is an easy drive into Ocean City and Assateague. I can’t say enough good things about this house. This will be my new rental any time I visit the area!

Fantastic waterfront setting - the kayaks and paddle boards were great fun when we weren’t relaxing lazily on the screened-in porch. The house is beautifully decorated with many luxurious touches. Hosts are highly responsive. The nicest beach house we’ve ever rented - we can’t wait to return!
