I defenitely liked the size of the room. It was big. the bathroom was new and nice. Two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. I had a free parking place right in front of the hotel. The owner family was engaged and very friendly.
The WLAN did not work. First the owner wanted to fix it. That didn't work. Than he offered me a place in the restaurant . There I could use the WLAN without a problem. He offered me a free coffee while I was sitting there.

Perfect location in cozy little town, quiet, and still in decent distance to the highway if you only use it as quick stop.
Breakfast was included and met expectations. Very friendly and helpful stuff.
Apartment had a fridge that generated awkward sounds difficult to ignore.
The bed was extremely soft with a risk of average grown ups sinking deep into the mattress.

Hotel Zum Schloss is a very lovely hotel located in the main street of a tiny and quiet town some 20' away from the Lake Constance, also known as the Bodensee. The scenery around is typically 'Bayern' with sloping green meadows. We had the superior room for 3 nights, it is big and delightful. I understand this room has been renovated some 2 years ago. The hotel is managed by a family of multiple generations that acts in a rock solid friendly manner. Breakfast was wonderful. Unfortunately we were unable to stay for dinner but the restaurant setting looked promising.
There is no airco in the superior room. But since the windows are facing west and one can leave windows open at night without being disturbed much due to the quietness of the town, we haven't missed the airco much even with the outside temperature at day topping 28 degrees.

Very nice hotel with modern, large and comfortable rooms. The whole extended family who runs it actually lives there, they are very helpful but not intrusive, we greatly enjoyed their presence.
We arrived very late, past the check-in hours and close to midnight, but we contacted the hotel beforehand; we received an app on our mobile phone that could open the main door (back of the hotel, opposite the street) and the room door just by touching the door lock with the phone.
Plenty of parking places in the inner courtyard of the hotel, plus a couple on the main street.
