Newly designed rooms have quite some potential
We arrived one hour early since our cell phones had some trouble adjusting to the time shift from Utah to Nevada. There was nobody in the office, but a note suggesting to call Chuck for any questions. Unfortunately Chuck wasn‘t that helpful (some people might consider him being rude) and told us he was busy working on a project. We decided to drive to Great Basin NP instead. When we returned and finally checked in, we immediately realized what Chuck‘s project was about - he had been paiting our room with some wood stain or impregnating agent just before we arrived, so the entire room smelled horrible. As a result, our 8-year-old daughter suffered from a stuffy nose and a headache. Moreover there were several stains on the blanket and loose handles in the bathroom.

It is right outside of Great Basin NP, but there isn’t much else to do or see in Baker. The A/C worked well, the sheets and towels were clean. For 1 night, it was fine.
The furniture and decor were dated and the bathroom was small - but it was functional.

The staff was great and the location was wonderful.

Ideal location directly across from the entrance to Great Basin National Park. It was great to have dinner and drinks on property after a day of hiking. Burgers were delicious. Hosts were friendly and informative. We stayed in a newly remodeled room- cute & functional.
The A/C unit worked well but it couldn’t quite compete with 95 degree weather. Linens were worn.

It was the perfect for exploring Great Basin National Park.

This was a surprise oasis near Great Basin National Park. We wanted to see the park and did not want to stay far away. We were ready for it to be a dump. But we had a newly remodeled room that was great. It's done in modern mountain and it's exceptional. A well-organized and efficient, super-clean room. And when we stepped out our door at night and looked up at the sky, we got an incredible show. So many planets and stars were clearly visible with just our eyes. It was amazing. Constellations were clearly visible. Pure magic. It's all about the location. This was a wonderful place to stay and the staff was very friendly.

Literally Rite next to Great Basin National Park
The fact there was a bunch on little mosquitoes all in the room. Especially at night time they came out of nowhere

Comfortable room, beds. Motel style, so easy to move luggage into the room. Convenient for visitors to Great Basin NP.
Bathroom was very tight. No ice machine. Quirky check-in.

Location close to Park
It was freezing inside. No one warmed room for us, even though I provided our arrival time.
Outside it was around 26f and inside not much better.
There was only a tiny space heater, which was turned off when we arrived. There was no chance to warm the place with that thing. It was the size of two cellphones (I have picture!) We asked for assistance and extra heaters, but no one ever replied.
After 8 hours of driving we ended up in cold room, we could sleep in the car and it would be the same temperature and comfort.
It was $130 for the night, so we should get warm room ready for us. The small heater is a joke, like they don't care about their guests at all. Of course we had to sleep in our clothes, fortunately we had extra blankets with us. We spent $130 to get shower and have warm night during our trip, but I couldn't even wash my hair, because it would result in getting sick in that temperature.
I would highly advise you to stay away from this place, because they don't care about health and comfort of their guests.

We were there to visit Grand Basin Np and the location was perfect. The owners were very nice.
The carpet was extremely worn right as you entered the room so it was the first thing you saw.

Staff responded promptly to our requests. Room was large and comfortable. Quiet setting, peaceful. Great place to serve as a base from which to explore the national park.
Weak shower pressure. Poor wi-fi. You share a gravel and dusty parking and drive area with the RV park. It didn't bother us, but some may want to be aware of this.

Able to sleep there. Had a working refrigerator
Poor lodging for too much money. Room smelled musty, carpet dirty, very run down!
6.0 / 10.0
Great location. Clean. Easy check in.
There should be some chairs or benches for guests to watch the night sky. There is room for that but nowhere to sit which was uncomfortable. One of the reasons to visit Great Basin is to view the stars.
