This house has amazing charm and views of the water and the rooms are large and spacious. All the rooms are nicely furnished allowing for comfortable stay. There were some issues which we addressed with the owner and they were responsive to correcting as best they could. Would recommend for the location could not be beat.

Spectacular view. Great family plan. Nice sea breezes.

Well we had a very untraditional foggy week. But nobody can control the weather. The house was great. A little cobwebby in places and the bbq grill was rusted out. We also couldn’t close the master bedroom door. But it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. The steps that folks mentioned prior have been fixed. But for the price, we were perfectly happy. The owners were very responsive when we had a couple of questions.
Note for non Maine peeps. They don’t recycle in Maine. At the end of our trip we found a glass recycling place at Hannafords in Town so that would have been good to know before.

The home and location are absolutely incredible. The house is surrounded on three sides by water with amazing views from almost every window. Located in one of the most spectacular parts of the mid coastal region the overall area is also a huge plus. The house itself is beautifully designed and well appointed. There are a few perplexing omissions in appointments, like one bedside table per bedroom and a total of three Adirondack chairs outside...but honestly...the benefits far outweigh any deficits. Also the upkeep of the property overall is not great...weeds in all of the walkways and the wooden steps to the water in pretty bad shape, but again, far outweighed by the positives. Wifi is not great...anyone planning a working vacation with zoom calls should consider bringing a router because the cell coverage is not great either, so using your phone as a hot spot is not an option. The house was SUPER comfortable for three adult couples. It would be a stretch for 8 people because the little cottage doesn't have a bathroom and there is only seating for 6 at the outdoor table. I would absolutely rent this place again for 6 people.

Previous comments submitted by others are accurate. weeds are high, stairs to the chairs on the rocks are rotted out. Hair balls around the floors. Large -med sized rocks in the driveway. No umbrella at the outdoor table as pictured. We need to by paper towels, garbage bags, napkins, toilet paper. Shower drain was clogged filling the upstairs shower basin up with water. (fix here was a bottle of Draino they dropped off) it worked for while. This could be a really nice place with some reasonable management suited to its value. We cleaned the kitchens and bathrooms when we arrived due to the lack luster prep prior to our arrival. great view though and peaceful

Everyone was happy from my 98 year old father to my 18 year old son. The house is spacious, comfortable, and lovely. The views from every window and deck are gorgeous. We loved just sitting out on the rocks watching the water, but also enjoyed our kayak rentals. Dan from Duck Trap Kayak Rentals delivered the kayaks and picked them up.

Slice of Heaven
The views for the home were more than what we hoped for. The home is in a tranquil location that is remote yet with easy access to Rockland's restaurants and stores. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The bedrooms were comfortably furnished and provided views in every direction of the home. We hope to stay annually at this home!

Embellished
I’ve never left a bad review! I will begin with the positives. Good location and wonderful view!
The home is comfortably suited for 6 people. It advertises 8. It can accommodate more if you bring your own air mattresses. The “tiny home” offers a window seat bed which he advertises as the “ XL twin”. When I asked the owner to detail how the home sleeps 8 when i only saw 2 kings, 1 queen and “xl twin” he only described the above fore mentioned. It can accommodate 7 but the 7th wouldn’t be comfy unless they were a 10 year old child..
When we arrived I reached out to question a few things. French doors, broken toilet seat downstairs, no propane for the grill, upstairs’ master TV would not work. We found out about the broken toilet seat when my 81 year old mom almost skied right off of it and the propane tank after we picked up things to grill for our first night. He told us about the French doors and he replied that the rest was news to him and said he would send someone asap. This was Sunday AM of our Saturday-Saturday stay and heard nothing else back from him nor did he send anyone.
We bought propane, I duct taped the sliding toilet seat and we just didn’t watch tv in the bedroom at bedtime
The outdoor garbage cans are too little for the amount of garbage that 8 people make. 1 of them was half full when we got there 🤷♀️ I asked him about garbage day and he finally answered me Friday Night. We had to leave 3 tied garbage bags outside of the cans.
If I rented out at 6,000 a week property, Id make myself or a property manager available. Other things, The floor under the master upstairs had dust balls, the toilets weren’t the cleanest at all and there is a whole in the ceiling at the living room French doors and there is black and white dog fur around the throw rugs. We did have a yellow lab with us.
The gazebo is rotting out as well as the steps to the two chairs sitting on the rocks-be careful. No umbrella to the outside table and there are weeds galore including two big bouquets coming put of the driveway. Landscaping has been ignored. Also if there was a shovel, I would have gladly shoved the rocks away from the tiny house.
1 last thing, the owner sent a message the day before our arrival that the shared driveway would only accommodate 2 vehicles. The link he sent with points of interest, restaurants etc advertises the property is equipped with plenty of parking.. We made it work with our 4 vehicles!

Lovely relaxing location.
Beautiful location to unwind! Great private beach for the little ones to play in. Good area to launch kayaks. The house is lovely but needs care. The owner should take some time to fix all the little things such as screen replacement, toilet seat replacement, and do a deep clean. Relaxing, beautiful, and would go back.

September At Lobster Landing -Nice House Beautiful View!
When we arrived cleaning crew had missed some things, refrigerator very dirty, we had to clean the refrigerator before we could load it. We had a small problem with towels (missing some) but property management group happily took care of it. I have used VRBO quite a few times now, suggestions for improvements for this house would be, label all remote controls as to which room(TV) they belong in, the remotes were all in one closet downstairs. Leave written instructions on how to use the stereo, electronics etc, and how to lock the doors it's not obvious or easy to figure out. The kitchen cookware, most is unuseable, which was a bit disappointing, recommend replacing set each year or as needed. We bought our own pan and utensils to cook with for our one week stay.

On arrival, we noticed the trash overflowing, the 2 main doorknobs fell off, hole in living room ceiling, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, and trash around the property. Upon further inspection, we noticed one tv screen damaged, sopping wet towel in washer, soiled bedding, yellow stains at base of toilet, hair on floors of bathroom, shower drain clogged, screens damaged or non existent. Floors sticky. Windows filthy. Difficulty getting feedback from host, Chris Nolan. No umbrella on deck as shown in picture. Tall hedges obscuring view. Only 6 chairs at table supposedly for 8 people. Advertised as sleeping 8! With a twin bed in detached office. No twin bed, just a bench with cushions. There is a separate structure on property that is filled with trash from top to bottom…..totally disgusting! Read reviews on 5 of this host’s properties. Just wish we had done this before we booked. We strongly urge you to remove him from VRBO. PSYou can contact any of our other VRBO people we have rented from if you want to check out our history. Thank you

Beautiful and relaxing!
This property is absolutely stunning! Went with my husband, son, and 2 grandsons. We all had a terrific time! The property manager was responsive to questions, etc. Only a short drive from Rockland. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

Location was great. Beautiful surroundings . Very nice tasteful home. lobster company located right next door only was loud a few mornings .Property Manager is from a Chicago . So that made things difficult especially w/ communication . No key left house unlocked. Asked repeatedly told us where extra key located. The house was not cleaned well . The trash was over flowing , refrigerator had food remnants and was never wiped clean. The hood over stove was full of dust and grease . The trash cans outside were left over flowing (someone was suppose to empty but never came) The dishwasher had dirty dishes and it turns out it was broken( someone was suppose to repair it but never came ) The bed had sand in the sheets from prior renters , so it left an uncomfortable feeling . We could not get the WiFi to work in the little cottage/office . 2 family members needed to work via zoom . The bed there was a twin not great but we brought an air mattress. Couch is not a sleeper. Dining room lights did not work . Chris did text location of the fuse box was but it kept tripping . All of the above was brought to the attention to property manager Chris. It was disappointing . We are frequent renters for over 25 years . We are not picky nor Have We every given a poor review. I’m afraid the owners do not know what’s going on. Chris blamed it on CoVid and location being rural . There were good reviews when owners were managing in 2018.In addition the list of questions For prep prior to trip took several days for a response but the questions weren’t answered .water is not drinkable You need to buy bottled water and ice .No toastercoffee pot is a kuerig lobster potRest of pots and pans are so so1 lobster cracker ( this is funny )Silverware and knives have rust 2 hand towels ( not for 8 people )2 wash cloths 12 bath towels 1 dish towel 2 rags A little left of a roll paper towel 6 chairs at the dining room table 6 chairs outside table NO extra bedsheets Coverlets on beds no blankets ( chilly at night) Upstairs bathroom no bath mats . ( found them Dirty outside on side steps day we were leaving ) There are cleaning products , vacuum and swifter( not great with that type of tile , very slippery and sticky )After the few times I communicated with Chirs via email or text , he didn’t follow through .I would go back if the place was properly managed .

The house, cottage, grounds, location, and views were amazing. There is a seafood facility next door which can be noisy, more like the sound of a motor running at times. But you only hear it on one side of the house. Definitely not a big enough problem to keep from renting there again, which we absolutely will. The owners daughter lives locally and was wonderful, 5 stars for her! She was there to help us with any questions we had or anything we needed. Really wonderful place!!

Great location!
We loved the location and the house. It wasn’t as clean as we had hoped and I let Chris know and he felt badly about it and sent lobsters over for the inconvenience which was very nice. It says it sleeps 8 but there was only a king and two queens....no pull out couch and the little office has a window seat bench so glad we brought a blow up mattress. It is very close to Rockland and you can walk to McLoons which was great.
