What a surprise package in a beautiful location not far from Mt Field National Park. With absolutely no expectations of what to expect of this accommodation, booked for a travelling group of 5 adults, made up of 2 couples and a single, what we found upon arrival was nothing short of outstanding!
A very clean, comfortably appointed, weather board cottage/home, with 5 bedrooms, 2 Queens and 3 with 2 x king size singles, 2 bathrooms, a powder room/second toilet, modern u-shaped kitchen leading into a dining area with a large, solid, timber table with room to seat 8 and a lounge area with big, oversized couches arranged an open fire place.
There was another large, dining table on a wooden deck accessed through doors leading off the dining area, again with seating for 6, included a BBQ, and overlooked an expansive grassed area. Beyond this were a collection of pools/ponds where you might have been lucky enough to spot a platypus, we weren’t but the possibility makes this spot even more appealing!
Reverse cycle air conditioning, a dishwasher and laundry with washing machine and dryer completed this excellent accommodation which we would return to in a heartbeat!
Could not fault this property or how welcome we were made to feel throw out our short stay.
4.2
Lots of room
Dirty fridge, not cleaned from previous customers.
4.2
Located close to Mt Fields National park. Bed heaters worked well
The cottage was not clean and it looks like they rely on previous occupants to clean as there is a requirement to clean after your stay. Didn’t know I was booking an Airbnb. The kitchen appliances were dirty and the kettle needs to be replaced. The bath edge was cracked and moldy. The cottage was very cold as the aircon heating did not work.

It was a cute place.
Everything was clean and tidy, just a little hard to find atbnight but otherwsie great!
4.2
Comfortable beds..
Strange kitchen layout.
Plenty of powerpoints but not conveniently placed...mostly they are on the kitchen wall
One bedoom completely open to the living area/kitchen.
4.2
Quiet area. Villa was clean. Off street parking.
falsely advertised bar and restaurant on site. been closed since December. Not told till day before that it was closed even though closed for months. Was told to bring supplies for food.

Spacious cottage
Lots of inclusions
Good heating
Nothing
4.2
good location, quiet environment, spacious
kitchen floor was sticky, felt there were fleas on the sofa
4.2
location
lack of building cleanliness (Linens were clean).
4.2
There was no reception desk at the property and the instructions for finding our accommodation simply gave what looked like a non-existent street address that was actually just a reference to a plaque on the cabin door. The cabins were quite old - perhaps workers' cottages in former years. The attached hotel was closed, which meant we had to scrounge around to find somewhere else to eat. Wifi reception was also poor.

Lovely location, comfortable cottage with good facilities
Restaurant & bar were closed
4.2
Good accommodation for that location.
Restaurant no longer open. Bedroom blind allowed street lighting in.

We stayed in a 2-br villa which was clean and comfortable. Location was good as a base for exploring nearby Mt Field NP, giant tree forest and Lake Pedder. Spotted a platypus at dusk in the nearby creek.
Property in need of some general maintenance - windows not opening for example. The kitchen was small and basic. Had to Google how to use the plug-in induction hotplates as no instructions were provided.
4.2
big rooms, big bathrooms.
Nobody attending, prepaid laundry and dryer.
4.2
Great base for visiting SW wilderness. Fill up with Petrol before turning off for road to Mount Field/SW Gordon dam.
4.2
The location
Bed and pillows were comfortable
We liked there were seperate toilets from shower area
Kitchen was nicely supplied with pots pans wine glasses kettle etc...
No restaurant on site as advertised.
No wifi
No smart tv
No AC - with windows painted shut and fly screens lying in backyard.
Very very uncomfortable couch
Poor water pressure in showers
No games
We were only notified that there was no restaurant 48hrs from check-in. That notice was only sent via text through Booking. Com
We were travelling and didn't have the opportunity to check this prior to arrival even though the restaurant has been closed for last 7 months. Additionally we made a non-refundable reservation based on bad data. So we arrived without any food to cook, causing us to have to buy poor choice good from a convenient store.
The couch was beyond awful. It was so uncomfortable we pulled two twin beds into the floor in the living room to have something to sit on while watching tv at night.
