Great place! Lots of space, very clean, nice views on top 2 levels. DO NOT attempt to take a boat trailer down to this house, leave it at the marina. There are zero turnarounds. Parking at the house for 3 vehicles, but all require tight T turns.

We chose Blackberry Hill because, with a strenuous hike, the lake was accessible! Now, you do have to turn and hike down levels once you reach the end of the steps, but there is a great rock ledge. We navigated down with kayaks, fishing poles and a paddle board, and a 5 and 2 year old!!! But once we got to the water, it was incredible! If you want to get to the water on Centerhill lake, I recommend Blackberry Hill!

Very roomy. Enough space to get away from the group if wanted. Road was a bit tricky in a car, minivan and suv were fine. Very close to marina. Must be part billy goat to get to lake at house...not an out of shape 48yr old woman haha! We all had a great weekend at the lake!

The stay was very relaxing and quiet! Pretty secluded except for the neighbors but never saw them! Lots of space to enjoy throughout home! Home was in a private setting and large. Home was slightly dirty and dusty. Not sure when home had been cleaned. The master bath had a dirty rag on sink and hair in sink. An old light bulb was also sitting on sink. There were not enough towels for kitchen. No hand towels for master bathroom. By the time we left after 3 days, several lights were not working. Overall, we had a good time.

My family and aunt stayed at the property and the rest converged to spend a day celebrating family with a feast. The house was perfect, we had plenty of room to host Thanksgiving for 13 and spend the day together. The views were amazing and there was plenty of private sitting areas scattered If you needed a little peace. The deck was beautiful, though a few in the group couldn’t manage all the stairs. We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable home away from home.

The refrigerator was dirty inside. The furniture in living room was very dirty. You could hear an animal inside the walls at night when trying to sleep. The sound woke us up at 5:00am each morning. The last night a mouse was running around the living room and kitchen - perhaps the mice were what we heard in the walls. There was also an ant problem in the kitchen. Overall not a great experience.

When we arrived the maintenance person was still painting in the downstairs. They had lost the cable connection which left us without TV for the entire time we were there Thursday evening thru Monday morning. the road down to the cabin was full of ruts (some are expected but this was almost to much for our 4 wheel drive expedition). I did not like the fact that you had to go thru bedrooms downstairs to get to the bathroom. It rained and we did not have a mat at the front door to wipe our feet on. On a good note it was decorated lovely and had a beautiful master bedroom/bathroom.

When we drove up, first impression was that it was very private and secluded. When we walked in, first impression was very good. The house was very clean and was well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. The view of the lake was a little obstructed by the trees, but trees are all that's between you and the lake. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay.

Our group of friends really enjoyed our weekend get away at Blackberry Hill. We were the first renters of the season in this house and we had a few minor bumps that probably wouldn't have happened had we come later in the season. We did not have hot water the first night but thankfully one of our friends figured out the hot water heater wasn't on and was able to turn it on. We had hot water in the morning. Also our group noticed some poison ivy around the fire pit, we made sure to wear socks and long pants when we used the fire pit. The Direct TV did not work but we really didn't need the TV. The house was really nice and clean, it had plenty of room for our whole group. We had a great time and really enjoyed our weekend away.

the house is great and has some great upgrades. However, the floor turned my bare feet black after 1 hour, a lot of the pots and pans had to be washed before use, and there were dead bugs in the bathrooms. Also, for listing that the kitchen was "fully stocked" there was a lot missing. There wasn't even salt and pepper shakers!Finally there should be more of a warning about the road conditions and steepness. Wouldn't want to come in a regular car.

From the pictures that we saw we felt this house would be a great fit- we could walk down and swim as we wish, or stay inside to relax. Upon arrival we realized that the lake access we were guaranteed (I had emailed the company beforehand specifically to ensure that we could get down there and swim)didn't meet our expectations. The listing says, "Just step out the back door down to the back yard living area where you can relax around the firepit or stroll down the lakeside path to the water's edge for fishing or just enjoying the sunset." Very misleading. I called the office the next morning to find it closed, so I left a message. I then proceeded to call the emergency number which was actually maintenance. He was courteous and said he would call management. When I heard from someone, they assured me that there were in fact 2 "paths" to get to the lake, one to the left of the property and one to the right. She also explained that the land that touches the property line is owned by the state, so it can not be maintained. This is all information that would have been nice to know upfront. These are not paths, they are a downhill hike on some land that has been worn down from people walking it. Had I been there with my family and kids were involved, you can forget it.Also, while we were told parking was an issue, we were assured that we could move extra cars to the old office lot which is now an embroidery shop. The owner of said shop refused to let us park our cars there as she was having a yard sale that weekend. So cars were parked in an area that we did not feel comfortable with. I will say that when I mentioned this to the lady with Center Hill Chalets she assured me she would speak to someone...and told me where we could safely park our cars, which was helpful. Overall, I would say that we felt very mislead and disappointed in the property not meeting our expectations and no one even offering some kind of reimbursement or anything to make up for it.

I think there could have been more silverware, as we kept running out and there were only 7 of us, and the house advertised an occupancy of 10. All in was a great stay. The email the mgmt company sends is exact and you MUST use the detailed directions they send you to find the place. We would go again.
