Rented this lovely lake house for our first family vacation in Maine. The house is beautiful and has everything that you could possibly ask for. Your hosts are wonderful and so obviously care that the people they rent to have as wonderful a time as possible. The drive to Acadia and Ellsworth is easy. I highly recommend this property for all ages.

We had a great week on Beech Hill Pond. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. There are beautiful views of the lake from the kitchen, living room and upstairs bedrooms. The lake itself was perfect. We swam, fished and kayaked/canoed. The house is also located one hour from Acadia National Park, which made for a nice day trip.

We enjoyed our lake vacation. The house was clean and had all the amenities for cooking dinners. We enjoyed the open concept kitchen and living area and spent most of our days in the yard and on the lake dock. The waterfront was great for kids.

Very nice and clean house on a gorgeous lake (pond). Close enough to Acadia for easy day trips but spending an entire day on the lake is also a great option. Would definitely recommend.

The property is perfectly located on Beech Hill Pond with direct access from the back yard. If you are looking for a lake house for a peaceful vacation, this is the rental for you.
The house is exactly as described and the joke owners were incredibly attentive to communications.
We enjoyed days soaking in the sun lake side, adventures to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park, and Fogtown Brewery in Ellsworth.
I marked this property as a favorite, you should too.

Our vacation group drove from Virginia to vacation in Maine. We were very pleased with our stay at this house. It had everything it advertised and more. The house was indeed spacious and very clean. The host had the house fully stocked with very nice pots, pans, cooking/eating utensils, plates, glasses, dish towels, spices, etc.etc. The bathrooms were also stocked with linens and toiletries. The basement had a nice washer/dryer, life jackets, and more. We really enjoyed using the kayaks, canoe, and the the dock. We also loved the deck, yard, and fire pit. The caretaker of the house was easy to reach and very efficient. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone considering it.

Thus is the second time we’ve rented this home. It’s in a beautiful secluded cove of Beech Hill Pond. The house is spotless and kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to cook family meals. The lake is crystal clear and we enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat.

The house has the perfect setup . Plenty of rooms for all of us and very clean and comfortable as well. The house had pretty much everything you will need from towels to water sport equipment . The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need as well. The lake was crystal clear and the kids enjoyed jumping of the dock . We had perfect weather and enjoyed the fire pit at night making s'mores. I highly recommend this perfect vacation lakehouse. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home .

Wonderful & relaxing holiday getaway
We had a wonderful time at this well appointed home. It was roomy, clean and had lots of things to do throughout our stay including kayaking, canoeing & just enjoying the beautiful pond. The home was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space to spread out. Would definitely return.

Lovely lake property
Our third stay at this property and we’ve grown to love the great swimming and boating! The owner is also extremely responsive and kind. The water went out and he was onsite within minutes to fix it. He was the same way when we accidentally locked ourselves out. He loves to chat and treats renters like friends.

Wonderful week in Maine
The listing was totally accurate. The kitchen was well stocked, and plenty of towels, including beach towels. The pond was clean and with use of the kayaks and canoe fun to explore. A highlight was having a campfire and listening to the wolves call and respond in the distance. Although we had no issues, Scarlett was quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

Great stay on Beech Hill lake!
We had a fantastic week on the lake here - our boys were in the water - swimming, canoeing, kayaking, rock jumping most days. We roasted marshmallows on the fire pit at night and enjoyed our coffee on the deck watching the sunrise over the lake in the mornings. The house itself is great - clean, comfortable, well appointed and with enough space to stretch out after day in Acadia or on the lake.

Beautiful Maine getaway
This property was exactly what my family was looking for! Beautiful house with a nice yard that you can walk right into the water and large dock. And only about 45 minutes to bar harbor and acadia! The pond was much larger than we had thought. We rented a boat for the week and had plenty to explore with nice coves for swimming and a really cool rock with a ladder you can jump off of. Scarlett and her dad were very responsive. We had a small problem with a door jam and Scarlett got right back to me and her dad came over an hour later to look at it. Would definitely stay again!

Great accessible lake house
We primarily picked this place because my wife is in a wheelchair, and with ramps in to the house, an open downstairs, and an accessible bathroom, that proved to be a good choice.
My whole family was there though, so the house itself was great. Plenty of room for everyone, big living room and dining area, and an excellent, well stocked kitchen. We went swimming or boating in the provided canoes and kayaks every day, and enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the lake is.
The place is relatively close to Bar Harbor and Acadia (45-60 min), but town, stores, etc are all at least 30 min away, so be prepared for a drive. Overall I’d highly recommend this place, whether you need to accessible features or not!

Post-vaccination reunion
This was the perfect spot for family from CA and Utah to meet up with our local family (in Orono and Winter Harbor) to visit with my 92 year old mom. We had 10 days of lake fun: swimming, kayaking, canoeing, grilling and corn-hole. The house was immaculate and provided so many amenities- laundry, lots of towels, beach towels, etc. Everything one could want. The screen door wasn’t closing properly and the local property manager was there in minutes to fix it. The internet and cell phone service was not perfect- so, unplug and enjoy! This place was fantastic!

Great stay
My family and I had a lot of fun during our stay here. We enjoyed the wildlife and the canoe and kayaks. The proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (45-minute drive) was an additional plus.
A surprise and a bit of inconvenience was that the final three miles to the house is a dirt road. Depending on the weather or the type of vehicle I think this could possible cause some problems.

Comfy lakeside vacation
The house was comfortable, the pond was crystal clear. Construction trucks passed the house during the day, a slight annoyance. I would come back.

Beautiful lake front house, lovely lake
We (my wife, 2 sons and me) vacationed here for a week in mid-August. The house is very modern and has great lake views. And it has air conditioning, which we really needed on at least a couple of nights. The 2 included kayaks and the canoe were all we needed to get out on the lake as a family, and we loved every moment of it. The water was clear and comfortably warm. We lit a fire most nights and enjoyed lazing out by the lake in the evenings. And Acadia is only an hour away. Scarlett (the property manager) was always prompt in getting back to us. We will definitely come back.

Best Vacation in Maine yet
The house is quiet, comfortable, the kitchen is great for cooking. All of the amnesties were fantastic from the dishes to more then enough towels to enjoy the lake and have extra in the house. The washer and dryer are great and high capacity. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of places to lounge and relax. The best part was all of the lake toys (kayaks, paddle boat, canoe, and kids floating unicorns.) All in great condition, we used the canoe to fish all around the lake daily. We had more life jackets then people and for the first time didn’t need ours. The dock was great for diving and the kids lived on it for 2 weeks.
We have been coming to Maine for 6 summers now and this was by far the best lake experience so far. Highly recommend staying here.

Great Lake House
This property was exactly as stated in the listing. The home was immaculate. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to cook with. The beds were comfortable. Enough lawn chairs for a crowd. Fire wood was provided for the campfire. The kids loved feeding the ducks. We fed them canned sweet corn. They don't like lettuce. The water was very clean. Very shallow and gently sloping for the kids. We kayaked out to the big rock but the kids weren't brave enough to jump off. We went to Acadia National Park, the bird sanctuary and Fort Knox, all within an hours drive. The owner, Jeff, was responsive to any issues we had. We very much enjoyed staying at Beech Hill Pond. We would rent again. Thanks for the accomodations.

Refreshing!
Our second trip to this property and we still love it! Peaceful and quiet, but also lots of fun to be had on the lake. Fishing, boating, swimming, jumping off the rock in the lake, hiking trails at Acadia NP....simple refreshing pleasures of the the great outdoors. Just be prepared that any trip to the store for supplies is likely an hour round trip. The owner of this property is super accommodating and quickly responsive to any requests. The best place I've ever rented. Can't wait to come back again!

Beautiful spot, great landlord
The house is lovely and on a great “pond” that to most of us qualifies as a lake. Owner Jeff could not have been nicer or more responsive. He lives just a few doors down and was willing to share great info about pond and town. He was also at the house within 10 minutes of us locking ourselves out! His daughter Scarlett helps manage rental communications and she was always on top of my questions. We wanted to send packages to house beforehand as our car was totally full, and they were helpful and accommodating. Super nice management for a great rental. The house also came with kayaks, a canoe and paddle boat. Fun!!!!

A true gem! Perfect home for families with young kids.
I can't say enough good things about our experience with this property. First, Scarlett the owner, is very fast to respond and was very thorough when answering my questions regarding the property. When we arrived we were blown away with how beautiful the house was. (You do have to drive on a private, gravel road to get to the property, but this is expected when you are staying on a lake in Maine. ) The backyard has the perfect set up, with the private dock and a large grassy area that makes it easy for kids to get in and out of the water. I do recommend renting a boat from the local marina so you can explore Beech Hill Pond. The real treasure is a jumping rock located about 500 yards from the house. Our kids loved this!
The inside of the home was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. There was adequate sitting room for all 8 of us. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very spacious and are fully stocked with towels! The house also has beach towels so no need to bring any.
I did have to call Scarlett while we were there-we needed an air pump to inflate a few floats we had brought with us, and I asked them if they had one. They did not. Without even asking, Scarlett's father (who lives on the lake a few houses down) took it upon himself to drive out and buy an air pump so we could inflate our floats! I was really blown away by how they went above and beyond for their guests. So now there is an air pump at the property if you want to bring floats with you:)
The closest town with restaurants, etc. is Ellsworth, which is about 20 minutes away. We did drive into Bar Harbor/Acadia for the day which was about an hour drive.
This house was perfect and made our stay in Maine a magical one. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect vacation!
My two children ages 4 and 11 enjoyed everything about this vacation. As the other reviews said, the owners left no detail to chance. There was plenty of everything and the kids enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking. Peddle boating, and cooking marshmallows over the fire. The weather was great. We also enjoyed some Maine lobster. Jeff was very helpful in getting that set up for us. Will definitely come agai !

Wonderful house on a quiet lake.
The house was great for my mobility challenged parents. The downstairs bedroom and large handicap bathroom suited them well. Nice well kept house. Scarletts father helped with the lobster boil we had. You cant beat Maine Lobster!

Wonderful week at a spectacular home!
My family had a wonderful stay here! Absolutely no detail was overlooked.it felt like home from the moment we walked in and, although we didn’t need to call him, it was nice to know Scarlett’s father lives on the lake and would come if we needed anything.
Beautiful home and wonderful vacation! Thanks a million!

Wonderful trip!
This was our second stay on Beech Hill Pond, and our first at this property. The property is just perfect. Our two young sons loved the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat, and jumping off of the dock. The house was fully equipped - down to an abundant supply of towels and beach towels, beach toys, floats and life preservers. There was truly nothing we needed to enjoy our week. We will be back!

This place was terrific...just a beautiful lakefront home.
The home easily surpassed our needs and expectations. We had plenty of space for everyone, canoe and kayaks, great swimming and a beach. Being near Ellsworth and Arcadia a plus. Can’t wait to rent again. Eric and Bonnie Washburn

Great Family Vacation on Quiet Private Lake!
What a super family vacation we had at this beautiful home on a pristine, clear lake. If you like clear lake waters, watching your kids jump of the dock , and quiet nights by the bonfire, then this is the place for you. This home is away from it all yet close enough to Acadia National Park to take day trips seeing it's scenic beauty and hiking spectacular trails. The owner of the home was very friendly and came over to help us set up his lobster pot and shared stories with us about the area and the lake. We enjoyed the ducks that came up to see us each day. We had fun jumping off of the large rock in the middle of the lake. The home is clean and comfortable. For those that need an accessible home, it does have a ramp up to the back deck but there is still a 6" or so step up into the home. We brought our own ramp and were able to access with a power wheelchair. The home is located down a long dirt road, but hey, if you want peace and quiet you don't mind. We enjoyed using the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. Thank you Jeff, for sharing this beauiful place with us.
