Awesome manager and fairly close to most supermarkets etc. 40 min walk or less.
Friendly dog and cat on premise. Tortoise too.
John (interim manager) has interesting world views and it was fun chatting with him.
They also helped me book tuktuk for my round trip from and to eating places.
New shower heads and a generator can be very helpful

It’s a comfortable property with a nice garden. All rooms are decorated beautifully and with lots of love. You can enjoy a view of Mount Kilimanjaro from the rooftop terrace. The breakfast is superb and staff all are super friendly and helpful. You immediately feel at home here. Moreover, I like the social / community projects which this hostel supports.
The water in the shower took a bit long to get hot.

Kiwavi home is after just a night a real home. The managers and the staff are the best and make everything so that you enjoy and make the most out of your stay. I felt like I was part of a family. I stayed there on and off during my stay in Tanzania (visiting in between Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar) and it was alway a pleasure to come back to this place. I specially enjoyed the terrace with the view on the nice garden, sitting there to read or to take time to organize my trip.

The place feels like a home: the staff is extremely friendly, it's easy to host friends, the food is very tasty and the owner is just a WhatsApp text away. We stayed there for 2 nights before our Kilimanjaro hike, and the night after. Highly highly recommend for a group of friends or solo travel!

Really nice vibe, lovely well kept garden. The breakfast is amazing and plentiful in the lovely garden setting. Really good value for money. Close to Moshi center but quiet and peaceful. Owner / staff really helpful to book taxis, order Tuk Tuk etc… Good wifi ! They let us do some laundry and hang our clothes to dry in the garden.
Could provide 2 towels (one each) instead of one for two. Plan to bring your own shower gel for the shared bathrooms as none is provided.

This place is just amazing! After spending some days in the busy, loud center of Moshi I was more than happy to come here. The garden is wonderful and it feels like a home away from home. The host Simba and his team make you feel so welcome and in the end its really hard to leave! Highly recommend!!!

The team are amazing and the gardens and outdoor space makes it a great place to spend the evening. Breakfast was perfect!
We met plenty of great people and really enjoyed our time at Kiwavi Home.
There is a church very close with very motivated and rather loud attendees. They did wake us up on Sunday morning but it's part of the culture and I guess there are worse things to wake you up than singing.
The shared bathroom is a bit basic but I found out on leaving there was a switch for the hot water that I'd not seen before.

Everything about this little oasis is PERFECT. It is a beautiful home and you are made to feel like family. Momma Jackie is one of the most amazing women who will feed you breakfasts that will blow your mind. Simba is a SUPER man. (Even the dog gives you love) The grounds are gorgeous; the home is cozy and the private room was great. Highly recommend!
My room was well maintained; you can use the kitchen; Simba organized my taxi to leave. 5 stars of awesomeness.
Having to leave!

Friendly helpful staff. Very good food thanks to Jackie!
LOUD church singing, preaching and prayer going on for hours and hours. Even on Monday it started at 6am.

Kiwavi Home is one of the best places I’ve stayed in East Africa. The breakfast prepared by Jackie — the happiest, nicest person I’ve met in Tanzania! — in the mornings is gourmet! Truly the best breakfast I have had anywhere I have stayed, many fruits, avocado, eggs, chapati or pancakes, coffee, tea, porridge … whatever your heart desires I’m sure you can find it in this incredible breakfast spread. I am backpacking and Kiwavi Home offers rooms priced within a backpacker budget. Simba is the manager of the place, and is a really kind and helpful person, he can organize cars and trips to the different sights to see in and around Moshi, and he can help advise you on how to do it yourself if your budget is limited and you prefer dala dala. Stay at Kiwavi Home. You will truly be at home here.

Simba and his team were very helpful to make us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent, the community rooms are large and you can even use the kitchen. Thank you for picking us up and helping us with our day trip.
The nights could have been better without the rooster that introduced the morning too early.

Very nice house with a beautiful garden, dog and a cat and Simba who is such a wellcoming and helpful person. Once you enter the house you feel the atmosphere of great hospitality. Simba helped me organise my stay in Moshi region, introduced me guides at very affordable prices and I had great time. It was my first stay in Tanzania, I was a single traveler and the staff helped me even organise bodaboda each morning so that I could feel safe. I can recommend the płace.

Simba, the host, made me feel supremely welcome, assisted me with helpful phonecalls after my tour initially let me down.Found comfortable nearby accomodation for me when his was booked out and found a cheap reliable taxi for my sudden departure.
