Three Gables Vila was special in every way. The staff were professional and made our stay exceptionally wonderful. The property was stunning and the beach location just gorgeous. We couldnt have wanted for more. We thoroughy enjoyed an upgrade to the room with beach views and balcony. We enjoyed a delicious sri lankan breakfast each morning on our balcony. Delicious curries, breads and fresh juices. Plus a coconut pancake and coffee. We will definitly return one day in the future. Three Gables is a must stay destination in Sri Lanka.
nothing it was amazing.

It is a lovely designed, small property which felt very private. The property looks out straight onto an excellent beach. Good location for getting into Mirissa town.

I had the most delightful stay at the Villa From the first moment, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The attention to detail in every corner of the Villa was remarkable – from the tastefully decorated rooms to the serene garden views that greeted me every morning. The staff's impeccable service made me feel like a valued guest throughout my entire stay. I indulged in the exquisite cuisine at the villa’s kitchen, where each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. Whether I was lounging by the pool or unwinding in the beach, I couldn't help but be enchanted by the luxurious amenities and tranquil ambiance. Three gables Villa truly exceeded my expectations and provided a haven of comfort and relaxation. This experience will undoubtedly be cherished as a memory of pure bliss and sophistication.

Comfort. Simple as that.
It has nothing to do with the size of the room nor the excellency of the view. It s all the details this facility offers that really defines modern luxuriousness.
All the staff provide a top level service. The manager Dinuka is a treasure, the life and positivity that he brings for others transcends beyond words.

This is an outstanding hidden gem of a hotel with incredible food. The Sri Lankan breakfast did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious and the best we had on our trip. The evening food was also fantastic - we had a lovely meal on the beach and even got to release lost baby turtles into the ocean. Danuka was the best host / chef and the rest of the staff are really fantastic too: the right balance of attentiveness and privacy.
The location is a ~7min TukTuk ride from central Mirissa which meant that you could escape the hustle and bustle of Mirissa to the peace and calm of Three Gables: the only thing you’ll hear here is the sound of crashing waves. There are only 4 rooms so it feels quiet and intimate.
We were on our honeymoon and we will absolutely be returning!

the property was lovely- very well designed and modern and minimalistic, loved it!! the staff was also just amazing- so efficient and so gracious and accommodating, they offered us a complementary dinner and pampered us loads! Denuka dealt with us the most as well as Suresh and they were great! They even gave us a small gift upon departure which I will always cherish and use to remember the three gables family. :) our room was also cleaned twice a day and we would come home to chocolates every night which was a very sweet gesture. they also upgraded our room as the guest had limited guests, something I also really appreciate!
the water infront of the hotel is not swimmable, even though the beach is beautiful. however we were informed of this before our arrival and all the hotels we found didn’t have swimmable water Infront of them and one had to go 100 m further or then to the public beach to swim..

Hands down our favourite place of our whole trip. We were blown away by the view as soon as we stepped into the Three Gables. We were greeted by our butler for the stay, Danuka, who really went out of his way to make our stay exceptional. We were upgraded to the sea view room and were fortunate enough to be the only guests at the property for the 3 nights we were there. The staff were never in sight, so you felt like you had your own luxury villa, however, when you needed something, they would be there on hand. The food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast (we really miss this!!) and on our last night they made our dinner very special and romantic on the beach with candles everywhere. The rooms were spotless and the beds were so comfy. Could not recommend this hotel more!! We could have stayed here for a lot longer. We will be back - Thankyou again!

This is a stunning experience we will not forget any time soon.
I use the word experience for a reason. This is not a hotel and definitely not your average hotel. We had been on the road travelling around SL for ten days before we arrived at Three Gables. We were expecting a hotel. Perhaps we hadn’t researched it properly?
When we first arrived we reviewed the room based on the price. Which was wrong.
Staying at the Three Gables is a true experience of luxury - a resort if you will. I liken it to staying in your very own hotel or perhaps a villa you had rented.
I suggest, if you’re looking for a hotel or _base_ to come to and from. I wouldn’t recommend the three gables.
Instead, cancel your plans and enjoy the villa, your home. They really do make you feel at home. Dinuka and Suresh were incredible hosts. Truly nothing was too much trouble.
They drove us in to town for free. And drove us on to our next hotel - for a fee. The best way to sum up their service is to say, they take the stress out of everything. And I’m someone who seems to enjoy stressing on holiday.
There are only four rooms. This encourages the feeling of your own villa. There’s no real reception area and staff aren’t visibly around. I think this is part of the strategy to make it feel like your home. But, if you need them, they appear as if by magic to help you with whatever it is you need.
Dikuna and Suresh asked me the same question both days: “are you happy?”
Isn’t that lovely? Their goal is happiness.
The Three Gables was a unique experience of luxury and comfort and I cannot recommend it enough.
Oh and it is the very best ever breakfast of my entire life. A cooked-to-order banquet. Photos attached
You can’t swim in the sea. We weren’t told about this but most people know you can’t swim in much of the SL coastline. it’s a shame when the beach is private and so quiet.

Everything was perfect and we were looked after very well by Dinuka and the rest of the Three Gables Team. From recommending us excursions, booking us transport, driving us to local attractions and putting us in touch with really good tour guides, nothing was ever too much trouble. They had lots of helpful suggestions. We also checked in during the early hours of the morning (2am) and were greeted with a warm welcome. Not to mention the delicious cocktails and tasty food. The Sri Lankan breakfast was out of this world! We also travelled during the Sri Lankan economic crisis - this did not impact our stay whatsoever, so don’t hesitate to book!

Everything - we wanted to end our holiday with a little luxury and Three Gables delivered more than we could have hoped for. The building itself is an architectural triumph and the view onto the property's private beach is incredible. The rooms are so comfortable and we loved the little extras such as the evening turndown service.
The staff are all genuinely fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble, and it's the kind of place where things seem to happen around you without you needing to ask. The loungers are always set up with towels ready, we were presented with king coconuts after returning from a morning swim, they also arranged an incredible snorkeling trip to see giant turtles with a local guide and were able to recommend some great nearby bars and restaurants. They encourage you to treat the Villa as your home and we loved talking to Dinuka about the properties history and architectural accolades.
The chef deserves an award, the Sri lankan breakfast was a strong contender for the best breakfast we've ever had - it was huge and every element was delicious! Our only regret was that we couldn't eat it all, there was so much! We also decided to eat at the villa one night, and they set up a romantic candlelit table on the beach for us and we had one of the tastiest seafood platters of our time in Sri Lanka. Their signature cocktail was also delicious!
Highly, highly recommended.

everything! outstanding villa! all the staff went above and beyond to cater for our needs. So many positives and would thoroughly recommend!
I already gave the hotel feedback about needing black out blinds.

I liked the intimacy of exceptional service accorded by all staff. If we wanted to eat by pool or beach you only had to ask once, and then it was assumed you might like to repeat the choice, ie. after 48 hours your wishes were preempted.

A fantastic place to stay. We had a wonderful three days here at the end of our holiday. Very relaxing and calm with gorgeous beach views and a lovely pool. There were plenty of places to relax on the beach or by the pool, and it felt almost like our own private villa as there are only 4 rooms. Staff were very attentive and would go out of their way to help us. The room was comfortable, well sized and very clean with good air con. We liked the extra touch of chocolates on our pillow in the evening.
Perfect location on a quiet beach with local sea turtles! The staff advised on the best places locally to go snorkelling and helped arrange transport. They also arranged a car for us on our final day to take us to Galle.
Some minor things in the room we felt could be improved- there was only one spare plug socket for charging items (we unplugged the fridge to get another), no hooks or towel rails in the bathroom to hang towels/gowns, and the lighting in the room was a bit dim. Very minor issues which didn't really affect our stay but might be worth changing.
Also note that the beach outside the villa is too tough to swim in. Not a problem as there are other gorgeous beaches nearby (we swam with turtles!) but worth knowing.

This hotel is exceptional, the property it’s self is breath taking with the most amazing pool and beach area. The rooms were so well designed with everything you need and the comfiest beds. The staff and service they provided was flawless, we didn’t want for anything and they were so happy and kind. Thank you to Dinuka and Suresh and all of the staff for the best stay. Can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to return.

Staying here feels like you've rented a private villa. It is private, clean, and the customer service is amazing. The butlers are always available, and make you feel like you're the only one they're serving. There are only 4 rooms so it really is an intimate experience with the best customer service possible. Also, their food is really great! It may take a little while but we didnt mind because they shared that they do not freeze anything and make everything to order.. i will wait for quality food :) And it never disappointed. We preferred the villa food over any outside food. Also it is the cleanest place we stayed in all of Sri Lanka. It felt like every single time we left the room, we came back to it cleaned. And we saw them cleaning every part of the villa throughout the day. Even the 'public' bathrooms by the pool were always cleaned, pretty much after every time someone went into it. If you dont mind a more private stay, I absolutely recommend this place. The beach is about a 10 min drive if you want to go out too
The only con i can think of is that the beach in front of the villa isn't really swimmable, the waves are super crazy. We just stayed in the pool though

Three Gambles Boutique Villa, is a unique place near the sea. Private, calm and simply beautiful. Very different than everything we have seen in cost. If you really want to chill and have your space this is a place for you! The staff is amazing and hard working, you feel like in 5 star hotel as anything you wish can be done : ) you are also going to meet Dinuka sweet and super professional! He will do anything to make you smile, he made our stay wonderful and smooth!

where do I begin?
we have only just left this slice of paradise on the south coast of Sri Lanka and I already feel compelled to write a review, not only to highlight how magnificent it is but also to thank the most amazing staff there.
The building is absolutely beautiful, an architectural masterpiece, set on a delightful, secluded spot on the beach, away from the chaos of Mirissa beach. (5 mins in a tuktuk)
we were welcomed with a delightful welcome drink and introduced to Dinuka, a true gentleman and now considered a friend.
our room was spotless, provided with delightful toiletries and the room was regularly checked, beds made and even small chocolates placed on our pillow before bed.
the food was a culinary marvel, with a 5 star chef present and able to adapt. our last night we had a candlelit dinner of seafood on the beach.
cocktails served, wine… nothing was too much.
and now to what make this place a cut above the rest- the service. the staff are the most polite, attentive group, who always offer a smile.
Dinuka is a true gem: there’s no trying to sell for commission, no ulterior motive behind his charm; it’s all genuine advice and recommendations. this guy genuinely makes you feel so relaxed and able to ask anything. He is a fountain of knowledge and passionate about teaching you about Sri Lanka. When I sprained my ankle in mirissa, he sorted me an ice pack and some medication and I know if it had been more serious, or if anything serious had happened we would have been in completely safe hands.
Suresh is also an absolutely fantastic asset to the hotel, he has the friendliest manner, is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to ensure top quality service.
please please visit this place! it’s so much more than a hotel but a beautiful experience that we will treasure until we return again!
this is not what we did not like (as it’s in fact not within the hotels control) it’s more things to know before booking so you know what to expect.
the beach directly in front of the hotel is eroded, so not safe to swim, there is however a pool and a small bit further up the beach is ok to swim. this is did not affect our stay.
there is a huge hotel being built further up the beach- do not be alarmed! it’s far enough away that there is no sound pollution and amazingly from sitting on the beach it’s just out of view, so you can’t see it. this did not affect our stay!

Perfect service staff
Service staff has to work too many hours a day. Even though the level of service remained high we felt bad for them. For the prices charged in this place it should be affordable for the owner to threat his employees fairly

This place is pure magic!
It's the paradise we've been looking for without knowing, we would ever find it.
It's calm and private. A maximum of 4 couples can stay here.
We love the beautiful private beach and infinity pool.
The cuisine is the best we've had in all of Sri Lanka.
The service is the perfect mix of feeling at home, and being treated like royalty.
Thank you so much to Suresh, Kasun, Dinuka, Ishara and the whole team!

12/10!! This has to be one of the most AMAZING places we have stayed at. The infinity pool on the beach is stunning and really is breathtaking when you first walk in. The food and breakfast was delicious. The Sri Lankan breakfast and Nasi Goreng was amazing!
What really made this hotel amazing was the wonderful and generous staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and did everything we could want and more. Really lovely people.
You will be so sad to leave!!

It was a perfect experience. We want to come back go Sri Lanka not to visit the country again, but just to stay in Three Gables for a week. You can expect this:
- it is a luxury 4 room boutique hotel, so everything is very personalized. You get world class service, from personal butler to chef, security, pool attendants, beach attendants, there is staff e everywhere, but more than that everyone is expert in what they are doing.
- the food is by far the best food we experience in Sri Lanka, everything was just soo good, and this also changed our experience. From a simple watermelon juice, to a seafood platter, everything is very very good, so congratulations to the chef.
- all 4 rooms face the sea, and you will be in bed hearing the ocean waves. Rooms are super clean, nothing to mention in that, turndown service is great and happens always when you are having dinner.
- the property is very well looked after, and the owner is present and attentive to details, and he is a nice and respectful person.
In sum this property is about privacy, impressive service, good quality rooms and structure. It was dificult to leave.
Thanks to all the staff, specialy Dinuka that looked after us, and is so passionate for what he is doing.
Nothing to dislike. Perhaps the beach experience was not exactly what we expected, as it is not possivle to swim right in front of the property, as the pictures suggested. However nothing that ruin our experience in there.

We are happy we chose Three Gables villa for our last days in Sri Lanka. It's a real gem and it totally exceeded our expectations. You can sense the high architectural level in every detail. The lights, the colors, the shapes and real art paintings. The staff was extremely helpful, caring and respectful and especially we have to mention Dinuka. The food and the drinks were top notch! We will always remember this place.
We were told that the beach is seasonal, but everything else made up for it.

A fantastic hotel with exceptional staff. In particular Dinuka who not only made our stay more enjoyable but was also very helpful and re-assuring when we had travel plan worries due to flights potentially being cancelled, curfews and other chaos going outside in the world.
The hotel is great and the pool very well maintained. The easy walk down the handful of stairs on the private beach was excellent. Nice to enjoy the beach with peace and quiet.
The food we had was excellent as were the drinks.
Thanks so much for everything, the whole team are excellent.
All the best,
Ryan and Rachel

Our room was spacious and stylish. We appreciated the choc bonbons on our bed every night. The dishes prepared at Three Gables were all great, and so was the very personal service. The breakfast choices and display were simply amazing. One night, they even set-up a bonfire on the beach and positioned tables around it in sch a way that each had a bit of privacy - without extra charge. Note. The food and drinks are not cheap at the hotel, but there is no corkage for BYO wine.
