About this house rental
With its Art Deco architecture, stylish interiors, and superlative sea views – Salty Towers is the perfect venue for a family bucket-and-spade holiday or a relaxing getaway with friends.
The house is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach, and only five minutes on foot from Sheringham town centre: a time-warp of traditional sweet stores, penny arcades and fish’n’chip shops. There’s even a working steam railway linking the town to nearby Holt, for added Victorian seaside nostalgia!
Inside, we’ve done our best to think of everything you might need. Upstairs you’ll find two bathrooms, a very spacious master bedroom, and four further bedrooms – allowing for a variety of sleeping configurations to suit your group.
On the ground floor, meanwhile, there’s a large, open-plan kitchen and living area, with plenty of comfy seating, a smart TV, and huge bi-folding doors opening onto a large, sea-facing deck. There's even a wood-burning stove and some boardgames, making this an excellent venue for cosy winter breaks as well as summer holidays.
Quite simply, if you’re looking for sea views, beach accessibility, town convenience and plenty of comfort - it doesn’t get much better than this.

Three generations and a dog had a wonderful week in Sheringham. Salty Towers is an amazing venue - exceptional accommodation and sea views with easy access to the beach and town - the photos hardly do it justice! We thoroughly recommend it!

We have stayed in this property for the last three years and enjoyed our time here every time. However, there has been a noticeable decline in the property cleanliness and upkeep. It definitely requires a deep clean and some maintenance updates in the bathrooms and other areas.
That being said it has been a great stay for the price asked however, with prices increasing next year by 50 to 75% for a 3 night stay it has now become a bit of a stretch to justify the cost.

Superb location, frontline, amazing sea-views, walking distance into town. Great to have space and sufficient bathrooms for all family members. Well-equipped. Recommending to friends and family.

great location, super views. well stocked, love love love Sheringham, swam in the sea, climbed Beaston bump, went on the steam train, used the coastal hopper. whats not to like. on the negative shower on top floor needs curtain or shower door fitted, one bed in the twin room woke the whole household with the loud squeaking.

Everything is as described.
It's the fourth time we've stayed there. And we've booked for next year.

The view from this beautiful art deco style home are fabulous. We all found ourselves peacefully gazing out to sea.
There was ample space inside, enough to keep 4 teens happy!
It's so close to beautiful dog friendly beaches. Our Romanian rescue lived her absolute best life.
Also right by the town so Grandma could get her shopping fix in.
Comfy beds.
We all really enjoyed our stay and have booked again for next year.

This is the 2nd year we have been. We love the location, views etc. The house could do with a little up dating & maybe a shower as well as a bath in the upstairs bathroom but apart from that it’s well equipped & mark is always on hand if you ever need him. Fantastic house. We will be back again at some point.

Lovely property overlooking the sea and short stroll into Sheringham. The property had every thing we needed and loved the large decking and bi folding doors.

Great house, 3rd year staying here. My only suggestion would be a shower screen on the top bathroom.

Property was clean and beds very comfortable. Nice that heat came on in morning and evening. Located 2 mins walk from town and wonderful location for a base for walking around the beautiful north Norfolk coast. Shower could have done with upgrade but lovely hot water.

Excellent property. Great size, perfect location, quiet, clean and Sheringham is stunning. Highly recommended

Properly could be really nice but has been let go. Whole place needs decorating throughout. The property needs a thorough deep clean mould on cushions and windowsill in front main bedroom. Sofa hasn’t been moved for years with build up of dirt. Bedding hadn’t been changed on arrival. Just completely unclean everywhere. To the point of disgusting.

Lovely light and airy property, very well presented and equipped in marvellous location. Particularly liked the owners pictures.
Would have appreciated two more chairs at the dining room table, as it is advertised for eight people.

Salty Towers is a fantastic property for a stay with friends or family on the Norfolk coast in Sheringham. The layout of the property works really well, and the views from the three bedrooms with sea views, and from the large outdoor veranda area are stunning: big open skies and a view down onto the beach along the western end of Sheringham. You can also glance over to the putting green beyond if you want. The low walls separating each veranda requires you to be friendly with your neighbours which we enjoyed doing! The place is well equipped and the beds are comfy. If anything I would say the pictures don’t do Salty Towers justice - it was larger and more stylish than I expected! Maybe it was the good weather we had that is influencing my impression but even in bad weather, Salty Towers would be a delight. We’ve already booked our next visit. Yes it is a bit frayed round the edges in some aspects, but none that really mattered to us. Five stars all the way…

We got to abit of a bad start with cleanliness (as we are still in covid times) but once we had cleaned ourselves & had spoken to the property owner. The property is in an amazing location, great views, convenient for the beach, shops, pubs etc. We have booked again next year.

Beautiful house and location couldn’t fault the situation of it
We do think the property needs a bit of love and attention in places ie. Kitchen cupboards peeling, decor a little tired and dishwasher needs servicing as really struggled with it and as a few guests in it would have been easier by far - also state to bring own towels too as the ones there were very hard & bleached in places and the weeds on verander need pulling out too they ruin the fabulous view if it were our apartment I would spend some time treating the outside area as it’s so beautiful just feel sun loved - we would love to stay again in the future but it would be great to see some of the unloved areas be loved

Wonderful
We had a fabulous time, the location cannot be faulted. Couple of things within the house are well used but they didn’t detract from our fabulous weekend, we’re planning on booking again.
Although a welcome pack would be useful.

Great location for the beach
Good locations for beach access, however the photos gave the impression there was lots of green fields around which was not the case, which was one of the reasons I booked, but overall a lovely property.

Ideal base for a rainy short stay in Sheringham
Well equipped property with plenty of space for relaxing with a view. Great unobstructed views from the terrace, dining area, master bedrooms and two other bedrooms. Couldn't be closer to the beach and only a few minutes' walk from town as well

Lovely sea views
Very nice property with fantastic sea views. It’s the end of the season and maybe the house needs some very small touches to improve people’s stay. We are all over 65 and found the stairs too small and testing - maybe a handrail or rope on the right hand side would have made them safer. The dining area is very cramped and we all had to sit on the same settee to watch tv (only a small point). No screen or curtain around the top floor bath so showering in it was messy and a handrail to get out of the bath would be a good idea. The hand towels were old and rough, the tea towels weren’t terribly inviting. All the upholstery on the settees and hanging chair needs cleaning, it was rather stained. We stripped our bed as asked, and found our duvet was quite stained and the pillow protectors need a good wash. Only saying all this for the owners information. The cleaners had left the house extremely clean, it is really well equipped; it has some fabulous paintings on the walls and great knickknacks scattered throughout the house. All in all a great place for a family visit as the beach is just yards away and it is easy to walk into Sheringham from the house.

Cleanliness and faults
Kitchen cupboards surface of doors peeling. No saucepans, just casserole pots to use. Could do with a big cooking tin to cook large family meals. Only one small and one medium pottery cooking dishes. Main shower on/off handle broke. Tried to contact manager several ways. No contact phone number given. Bath with shower over on 2nd floor, no wall bracket for shower and no shower curtain or screen. 2 of us cannot have a bath for medical reasons. Bed linen stained (photos can be downloaded on request as cannot attach here) duvet in main bedroom and sheets including mattress in twin bedroom. Visitor book hidden in drawer not on view. No welcome/information book with all information about local area, local doctors, dentist, nearest hospital etc if needed. Sheets of paper could be laminated and cleaned between bookings to support health and hygiene guidelines re covid. Instructions for TV, cooker, microwave etc would be best place in a file with pockets for leaflets etc so people don't have to hunt for them. Tried to use virtual assistant to contact host. Virtual assistant said there is no shower in the property. There are two! Not sure if there is anything I haven't included as so much was unsatisfactory. Won't be staying at Salty Towers again!!!!!

Great location
Fabulous location with stunning views from the balcony. Five minutes walk from Sheringham but accommodation located in a quiet area with a two minute walk from the seafront. Well equipped & furnished with plenty of room, slightly tired in places though. The stairs need consideration & care as they're winding & tapered with no handrail on the wide side of the steps. Fine if you're fit & able but not so for the elderly or less able. Overall a great stay & we would definitely stay there again.
