The house is basic but surprisingly spacious. It was very clean and neat. We had 10 people in this house for a week and we didn't feel that we were on top of each other. It is located in quite neighbored and centrally located within 10-15 minutes drive to beaches, shops, and restaurants. All supplies are well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. The owners are very responsive and even prepared some beach toys for young kids which came very handy during our stay. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family. The house was the perfect size for our stay. The owner was very careful almost to the point of micro managing with lots of rules and directions. I could tell that she really cares about her property but I felt a bit stressed out. I did not like the mandatory additional cost for property insurance.

We had a great time, the property was as described, the owner communication was great for questions that we had in planning the visit, even up to the day before! We had 4 children under the age of 6, and a full extended family and there was plenty of space both inside and outside for activities and a bit of needed separation occasionally! Great supplies available (beach chairs, outside setup table/chairs) made the stay very enjoyable.

The home was spacious and comfortable, in a convenient location near many local family attractions. We visited Narragansett quite a few times, as well as the waterslides, and were never at a loss for places to eat in quaint but bustling Wakefield, just 10 mins away. Joan's home had everything we needed and was very relaxing. Loved the neighborhood and local walks through the woods with our dogs. Would love to visit again next year!

First I want to say that communication with the owner is top notch. Owner even surprised us by coming by to fix the ping pong table for our stay. House was large and set up nicely. Nicely stocked and decorated. Room air conditioners worked well to cool house even during the heatwave. Thank you Joan ☺️

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It was very roomy and allowed us to take our dog. The kids enjoyed the ping-pong table daily! We will consider returning next year, it was just a bit far from the beach, but we didn’t mind driving for the size of the property we had. The neighborhood was also nice and quiet!

Summer vacation
Description and pictures on VRBO were accurate, house was very spacious and comfortable with several air conditioners available to use. The location was in a quiet neighborhood 0.2 miles to Potter Wood walking trail and less than 1 mile from URI. We chose this location as it was dog friendly and we were unable to get lodging on Block Island where we have vacationed last 28 years, so we decided to explore a new area.
This location was perfect as it was centrally located to many beaches, less than 20" to Block Island ferry and 30" to Newport, RI where there is lots of shopping and tours of the historical mansions which we visited.
Narragansett town beach was nice but we learned when we arrived, after spending quite a bit of time to find parking on the road, (the large parking lot we learned was only for residents/permit holders and the other small public lot was full) that it costs $12 per person to use the beach.
We decided to leave as the attendant shared that Scarborough (4 miles down the road) is the state beach which was perfect, very clean and spacious and $12 to park for the day during the week. $14 for weekend for out of state visitors nice smooth sand and great waves, bath house and concession.
If dining out, restaurant reservations were strongly recommended (likely due to COVID). We found many places were fully booked for the night on days we called, or if we were calling at 3PM we would have to wait until 8 or 8:30 for a reservation for our party (granted 1 night we were a party of 8 so that did not help)
We did go to Mews Tavern, a great atmosphere, excellent food and cool decor. Pasquale's Pizzeria was also awesome, celebrated our 15 year old's bday there with friends and all enjoyed it.
Our last day we did visit TLC coffee roasters which was a very cool place - wished we had visited it sooner. We especially loved the option to make your own iced coffee as we have never experienced a place like that before.
Lastly, Joan and spouse were great, very accommodating to our needs, prompt communication/responses. Would recommend this property to any family looking to explore RI.

4th of July Vacation
We rented this property to get together with family members who live in other states. It was over the 4th of July and the town of Kingston did a marvelous 4th of July firework display I have ever seen. The property was close to everything that we wanted to do. It was very clean and was the perfect get away. I would recommend it highly!

Wonderful rental
The owners are extremely easy to work with - easy to reach and extremely responsive. The house is very clean and has every amenity needed for a long term stay. Extremely spacious. Washer, dryer, dishwater, large driveway and covered carport with storage are a huge bonus! Great beach and restaurant access. Quaint neighborhood. Highly recommend!
