Sleeps 8 easily. Most extra guests prefer inflatable mattresses (provided, self-inflating).
NO Smoking
Most guests would say you'd need a light sweater in evenings rather than A/C because of the valley and cool lake breezes.
Note: Nice, clean linens are placed in a stack by the bedside for guests. Most guests bring their own sheets so that on Saturday morning they can remove them and go. Your choice, and if using the linens from the house all linens must be cleaned and the last load in the dryer upon checking out. Cleaning lady comes in at 10:00 a.m.
If you'd like to reserve you may go to the VRBO payment system or Inquire to me directly and I will explain the rates and fees.
NOTE: first, last weeks of Summer season often discounted to $1850 or as noted in calendar.

This property suited our needs very well. There was plenty of space for us and we used all facets of the rental, from the back deck, to the dock, to the fire pit, to the living room, to the kitchen! The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher. There was even a washer and dryer to do laundry! The view in the morning, with the mist rising over the lake and the waterfowl gliding quietly in front of us as we sat on the dock with our morning coffee was splendid! The owner checked in with us several times and made sure to attend to a minor maintenance need with the heat pump's output of air conditioning. We recommend this rental highly.

Well appointed house on a pretty lake. Nice dock, a great deck and the fire pit for relaxing evenings. 15 minutes to beautiful beaches.

lovely home for nature lovers in quiet surroundings.

Sweet property on the end of a dead end rd which meant it was nice and quiet despite being next to the lake’s boat ramp. Canine friendly and no bugs amazingly. Air conditioning kept up during a very muggy week. Bert was very helpful when there was one hiccup with the cooling. We did not use the lake much but water looked clean and plenty of fishermen were out during the better weather. Nice location for beach access and Newport, as it’s relatively centrally located to destinations both north and south. We decided everything we wanted to see was 15-17 minutes away!
Would recommend this property for a perfect Rhode Island family getaway.

This lake house has all the amenities needed to have a great week or weekend. Minutes from Rhode Island beaches, this lake house has a canoe and kayaks available for use. Bert, who lives next door, was a wonderful host and is super friendly and personable. We hope to stay here again in the future and recommend this home to everyone!

You can’t beat the location in this quiet and very pretty neighborhood. The lake view was lovely and peaceful. We liked that we could walk our dog in the boat launch area that was next door. Easy to get to all the local hot spots from this area. We loved that Dave’s market was so close by! Bert was accommodating and easy to work with. Thank you for having us!

Wow, what a location! Access to the pond was just wonderful! We used the kayaks several times and even took the doggie in the row boat. Pinched myself every morning on how beautiful the lake view, lush vegetation, quiet, and just all-around calm of the day we experienced. The house had everything. Went on many bike trail rides, visited estate sales, and even tried the Rail Explorers! Cooked most meals because the house had everything! Took family to nearby TAJ and Sa-Tang restaurants - delicious. Bert was a very friendly, responsive, and respectful host. We look forward to a future return!

We loved our constant view of the lake and ability to fish and kayak from morning until night.
The inside of the house was better than the pictures show. The exterior was more rustic than the pictures with knee high grass, construction zone and very dirty grill. The boat launch adjacent was rarely used and felt like our own private fishing zone. We loved the location halfway between Scarborough and Newport.
If Bert had replaced the 2 broken fans as requested this review would have been an allstar . vacation.

We had a great time! Very relaxing looking out at the lake. The house is very comfortable and is supplied with most household items. The owner is very accommodating if you have any questions just text him and he answers quickly. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for a weekend with my girlfriend and our dog. Loved the secluded quiet location right on the lake, yet still just a 5-10 minute drive from most things in Narragansett & ~20-25 from Newport. Bert stopped by our first day there to welcome us and to let us know that if we needed anything he'd be there to help. Dock access was a bit rocky to get out to swim but the boat launch is right next door. Nice quiet area if you are bringing your pet. Kayak and paddle boat provided to take out on the lake even though we were so busy trying out some of the the delicious restaurants in the area that we didn't even have time to take them out! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

The house was very welcoming. Location great…private! Beautiful area to walk safely. Went to Blue Shutters Beach bring an umbrella and chairs. Plenty of towels. We made S’more‘s in fire pit. Kids loved the hammock and a tv in their room. Plenty of shopping, movies etc. Regretted food shopping at home, packing, loading and overbuying. S&S nearby. Spent a day in Mystic. Felt the lake access too rocky to swim but used the boat and Kayaks. The lake to extremely quiet! Boat launch convenient The owner is nearby and accommodating. 4th bedroom had a loveseat or air mattress. We opted to empty the dehumidifier daily. Suggest bringing your sheets to launder at home and save time closing house. Some spices, detergent, dish and dishwasher soaps, storage food containers, paper products, cable, internet, stereo, central air and fans. Glad we decided not to bring our Black Lab, he couldn’t run loose and we didn’t need to worry about being on his schedule. The property met our needs. Highly recommend. Best wishes

We've been doing end of summer trips to RI for the past few years and this house was probably one of the best. Easy access to beaches and the Lake was absolutely beautiful. The main floor of the house has a wide open space for everyone to hang out in and the rooms are all comfortable spaces. Lastly, the owner of the house is one of the nicest, and accommodating, hosts that I've ever encountered!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the house on Indian Lake. Such a beautiful view from the back deck- great place to start your morning or enjoy a meal outside. The house is in a cute little neighborhood right off Route 1, and only a short drive away to Narragansett beaches, Wakefield and other small coastal towns.
The dock is a great spot to launch kayaks or the rowboat, but a bit too shallow/rocky to swim off. We went next door to the public boat launch and swam out from there.
The owner, Bert, lives next door and was super helpful, checking in with us and was quick to respond when we had a few minor issues come up over the week.
We were so busy visiting family and friends (there’s so much to do in the area!) that we wish we’d had more time to relax by the lake. It was a very quiet and peaceful spot, would definitely recommend!

We loved the house and the location. The home is comfortable and set back away from the typical hustle and bustle of summer vacationers. Nevertheless, All the area beaches are within a 10 to 15 minute, easy drive
A private setting on and absolutely gorgeous lake. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. The rowboat was a well used accompaniment by my son-in-law (an avid fisherman) along with my twin 8 year old granddaughters who he was able to teach how to fish on the lake. It was a wonderful sight to see them out there together.
Bert was a great host and he was always available with questions and concerns, of which there were few.
The house and yard is well maintained and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We walked our two dogs every day and met many neighbors who were all very friendly. It is also a great place to safely ride bikes. A perfect place for a family getaway! I highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 10. Sailing and fishing on the lake was wonderful! Nice peaceful area to relax.

Our family loved being on Indian Lake with close proximity to the beaches and Newport. The owner was very responsive and helpful! Highly recommend this vacation home.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. Bert was very courteous and helpful, and we really appreciated knowing he was nearby. The water is beautiful and the boat launch next door was an added bonus. We highly recommend this for your family getaway.

Super clean and super stocked house with direct access to Indian Lake. Easy access to Narragansett, Newport, and Block Island if you want to, but you can also spend the entire time on the wonderful deck to the rear of the house. Highly recommended.

Our first time at Indian Lake, although we have been coming to Narragansett for years. House was lovely and we really enjoyed the lake. Quick drive to town beach. The owner was very accessible and checked in with us several times. Great break from crazy 2020.

We had a wonderful week-the weather was picture perfect but the location just as incredible. Every morning I had my coffee on the beautiful deck and every afternoon, we sat at the end of the dock for a glass of wine. I am a beach girl so being only 15 mins from the beach was perfect for me. I am also a cyclist and went for bike rides almost every morning that were spectacular--I found a way to get to Narragansett by riding on Rte 1A instead of the busy Rte 1. Bert is the owner and was so helpful. He was incredibly approachable and willing to help with whatever was needed. We went fishing right from the rowboat that had been provided and also went on the lake in a kayak. The House is very comfortable and with the hot temperatures this week, the built in air conditioner in the main room was very much appreciated. We will be coming back again!
