We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, you couldn’t see any other cabins around and the kids loved exploring the woods and creek behind the house. The description of the cabin could be a little more detailed. There is no AC so if you are going in the summer months be aware that it can get a little warm inside. Also, be warned that in the winter months that there is a sign requiring a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up to the cabin.
Overall we had an amazing time and everything we needed was at the cabin and Mike even went out and purchased another fan for us since it was pretty warm inside the house. He communicated with us throughout our stay and was always quick to respond if we had a question! Thanks again for a great stay at your cabin!

The cabin was a great place for us and our dogs. It had all we needed and it was secluded with pretty property. The location is central to a lot of things but the road going up was steep and curvy. Overall we had a great time.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin, which is located in a relaxing, remote (but not too remote) area. Although it is tucked away in the woods, there is easy access to everything: grocery stores, restaurants, attractions, etc. The property is so relaxing, especially with the stream in the back. The host, Mike, was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. He was a pleasure to work with. My family and I had a wonderful time!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The forest is beautiful and quiet. Neighboring cabins are far enough away that you can't see or hear them. The location is convenient to Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

Excellent location with lovely mountain stream which provided peaceful background noise.

The cabin was lovely. Mike was very kind and accommodating. The cabin had anything you could possibly need. I was a little nervous about not having AC but we opened up the windows and the cool breeze was perfect. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Thank you to Mike! We will be back.

This was my family’s second stay at the cabin. It was just as fantastic as the last time. The solitude of the location, yet proximity to attractions makes this a perfect spot. Mike, the owner, is very responsive and kind. AND.. my fur baby loved it!

Had a great weekend with friends, showing them all our favorite places in the Linville/Banner Elk area. The secluded cabin was just perfect for us. Not another building in sight. The creek was such a treat.

Most comfortable bed ever!!! Slept better than at home. Location is private, no other houses in sight, and this was late March and there were no leaves on the trees. Living room furniture was comfy. Bathrooms were clean and comfy with good hot water.
Kitchen is adequate. If you plan on cooking large meals you may want to bring your favorite cookware. We found pretty much everything we needed so it wasn't a problem for us.
It was a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We're trying to nail down some dates for this fall !!!!

This is our second stay and we loved it. It’s close to banner elk, Boone, and blowing rock. All attractions are within 30-45 mins, with plenty of great locations to eat. Loved that the cabin is high on the mountain with a great view. It’s isolated enough to be a quiet get away but central enough to get around. We highly recommend it!

The quietness of the mountains is what draws me to them. I can walk outside and hear nothing but the brook...it is awesome. This beautiful cottage is a favorite of ours. You need games, books, puzzles? They are there. Extra blankets? Yes, those too. I loved walking around the property and not seeing another soul. It's close enough to town that we could get there easily. We had a lovely time and will be back.

This cabin is the perfect get-away. It’s just close enough to all the local attractions, but private to enjoy your time with family.
My dog absolutely loved walking the trails and sniffing around the beautiful 12 acres.
Don’t bother with restaurants! Buy a steak from Lowe’s Foods and sit out on the deck with a bourbon!
Grandfather Mountain, Linn Cove Viaduct, Otter Trail. It’s all beautiful!
I will definitely be back!

We had a great time during our stay and the kids loved the ability to walk down to and in the picturesque mountain creek! The location is great and very close to Grandfather mountain and the winery. It was easy for our family to get to the surrounding towns and other attractions in the area. Mike was a great host and would definitely recommend!

We stayed 9/28-10/1 2023 with our grandchildren. The cabin was absolutely perfect for us, the creek behind was an added plus. The location was great, its a curvy climb but took us to a beautiful cabin. The beds were very comfortable. Mike was the perfect host, he had the key in the door and the porch lights on when we arrived. Will definitely be coming back!!

I've lived in the country my entire life and deeply appreciate the peace & quite. As long as we were at the cabin, zero outside noise - only the true sounds of the woods.
All was perfect & well maintained.
Location is also spot on for quick runs to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mtn & Banner Elk.
Thank you so much Mike.

Great location, we felt like we were in a treehouse. The access road is curvy and climbs but road is paved and we don’t have any issues. The sound of the creek behind the cabin was very soothing. Birds singing and wildlife was plentiful. Grandfather Vineyard and Winery was right around the corner and was a great place for music, etc. Will definitely go back.

Loved the beautiful location and proximity to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone. The cabin was very comfortable and stocked with everything you would need if you were cooking your meals at the cabin. We have stayed at several mountain cabins with steep, winding roads that were not paved, so this road, though curvy, was easier to maneuver because of being paved.

Located at 3960 feet of elevation, this cabin provides as much solitude as one could want! The walk to the top of the mountain is a 475 foot climb in .75 miles so your pulse gets elevated!

Beautiful cabin nicely decorated and with all the amenities you need. The location was at 3800' and wonderfully cool at the end of July. Very comfortable and the continuous sound of the stream was always in the background.

We rented this cabin for our trip to Grandfather Mountain to see the Highland Games. The cabin is nestled in a grove up on the mountain- just a beautiful place. We had all the amenities we needed and appreciated the high quality sheets and towels. For us coastal girls, the mountain was a bit daunting at first, but the road became a fun drive after a few times up and down. The house has a great deck and a pathway down to a lower deck by a babbling creek- very peaceful place to tune in to nature.

Beautiful cabin on top of the mountain. It was secluded, peaceful and best of all no humidity the weekend we stayed.

The cabin was perfect for us!! Secluded and yet close to everything. We enjoyed the stream and trees and we couldn't have had better weather! It was so cool! We will definitely be back!

What a peaceful piece of paradise! I can’t say enough about this place. Super clean, close to Boone/Blowing Rocker. Super close to the town Banner Elk and the super quaint Valle Crucis. However, if you you want a low key getaway-stay at cabin the entire time. You won’t be disappointed. Mike is super responsive, the best VRBO owner I’ve had thus far! Awesome experience- next time we will stay longer!
