The location is great, with beautiful views from the lodge. The swimming pool is a nice added feature (particularly in August!). Extra points for our room being ready 90 minutes before our scheduled arrival time, and for the place offering the option to stay with a dog.
We had one request, which we made in writing well in advance: we asked for a quiet room. Even though only four rooms were occupied during our first night, we were put next to the stairs, an ice vending machine, and on the bottom floor, under what sounded like an elephant intent on setting a Guinness record for most restroom visits in a single night... The second night was slightly better, but someone still desperately need to get (and crush) ice at 1:30am, so not much sleep either, leading us not to extend our stay (which was our original intention). In general, why ask guests for preferences if these are then completely ignored?
TBA: other than offering next to no sound insulation, the rooms are also very dated, and ours came with a weird smell... All of which was a crying shame, because the location is hard to beat.

The view was magnificent!! Sitting on the porch and watching the sunrise over the mountains was breathtaking. The room was clean, water pressure in shower was great, the food was superb, and the staff went above and beyond. We already have plans to return.

I love the grounds - vast and green.
Room was worn out. Animals at the farm to which we had access to were not well taken care off (small cages for chickens and rabbits…)

Beautiful setting, glorious nature and well off the beaten track. The staff at the main building were very friendly and welcoming and our cottage was really lovely and very spacious. It had everything we needed, even an outdoor BBQ.
We stayed in Rose cottage, not the main hotel building and it wasn't very clear when booking that it was a couple of miles away and there is no cell phone service or wifi there at all. The only wifi connection is at the main building so we had to travel there for everything we needed to do. It would have been so helpful to know this from the description as we had to get some work done whilst there and would not have booked that cottage had we known. At our time of booking it was very unclear where there's wifi on offer and where there isn't. The Graves Mountain Farm and Lodges covers a fairly big area and is really lovely. We'd recommend staying there, but if you need a connection then be aware it's only in the main building.

Tis property is great! The scenery is gorgeous, mini cabin was comfy and well equipped, staff was super polite, and lodge was great with a piano and ping pong table. We hiked old rag, entrance it's about 20 minutes away. 10/10 would stay again, do not hesitate to book here!

views, location, the farm animals, the staff, breakfast
our room was full of sting bugs when we arrived. there were some 50+ in the room maybe because the room was warmed with lights on? that was unpleasant. we had to kill a couple every night but the first night was horrifying.

My kids loved going on the farm and playing with the animals. Egg collecting, walking the pigs, feeding the baby calf and getting closure to nature.
Additional fees. A cleaning fee of $50 which I understand but for $50 I expected the bathroom to at least be clean and not have visible mold in the tub or the toilet. Maybe incorporate the fees into the rate so it doesn’t come off as an up charge.

The location, the restaurant, the main lodge rooms with the fireplaces. The view.
Most of the items on the dinner menu did not appeal to me. I with they still did the family style meals at dinner.

Everything
Dead bugs, spider webs, wasp nests on outside of building and on lights and in rafters of porches and in empty ice machine.

Location, high speed wifi for calling and texting. Rustic, charming, adequate.
The dinner was expensive. Food tasted good, service was disorganized. Family style dinner was nice, but we were missing one dish and leaving with wine and beer are allowed, but took 20 minutes and multiple attempts to have the wine brought to us so we could leave.

good food
We were riding a touring motorcycle two-up. They first put us in a lodge that was perhaps a mile away over a road made of sharp gravels. I was afraid we would blow a tire. Their phone number was not in their brochures. After an hour, they gave us a better, closer-in place. The location of the property seems like a long ways from nowhere.
