Exactly as describe - an amazing eco-conscious lodge that is very chill and relaxing

Loved the property - everything was eco-conscious and made of wood/bamboo. The atmosphere was very chill and I really liked the vibe. Anyone looking just to have a relaxed time at the beach with super friendly staff, with amazinggg food and yummy cocktails this is the place to go! There are lots of activities that you can do, run by locals, and they’re not trying to shove them down your throat. Fui a Rincon del Mar hace 5 años cuando vi Dos Aguas y quería hospedarme acá desde entonces, y por fin pude! Y era exactamente lo que esperabaa - un lugar super tranqui y la gente que trabaja es lo máximo. Explica muy claramente el ‘ethos’ del lugar y no están tratando de venderte cualquier tour/servicio. La habitacion era muy limpia, amplia y con las puertas que abren al jardín. Me encantaron las preguntas que te hace consciente a donde van los desechos y siento que están esforzando mucho para que la gente entienda el impact al ambiente.

This was absolutely not an issue but it is about a 10 minute walk from where you can be dropped off by taxi - just something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. If you’re looking for party vibes this is not it - bar closes at 11pm, kitchen closes at 9pm. It is a place of peace and relaxation Para los que buscan fiesta, ese no es el lugar para ti! Cierra a las 11 el bar, es súper tranqui. Queda al parte mas lejano del pueblo, asi que son unos 10 minutos caminándote desde donde te reja cualquier transporte- por si tienen algun lio de movilidad. Beautifully designed unpretentious facilities with lots of vegetation on a gorgeous stretch of beach. Amazing staff and good food. Lots of beach chairs and shade canopies, and can retreat into the deep shade of the open front building when the sun is high.

Great to be back in paradise

Great to be back after 5 years. Staff is still as friendly, breakfast and food as yummy- and lodge clean and well-designed. Rincon Del Mar forces you to take the day as it comes and is a great way of detoxing and deconnecting.

Amazing

Everything ! The beach view from the restaurant /breakfast, the room was nice and confy, the staff was extra nice, the food was delicious (vegetarian pasta "carbonara" sssoo good, and they have gluten free pasta i coudl eat) the drink as well, the music fit the vibes. I had some of my best sleep there probably due to the near beach air /sound, so relaxing! And the sunset from the beach, amazing!

¡Mágico! Un viaje que nunca nos olvidaremos

Un lugar muy especial en una playa divina. Te reciben en el hotel con mucho cariño, como si fueras familia. La verdad mi familia y yo pasamos súper y pudimos descansar y disfrutar de la belleza de la costa. Fue todo un sueño realizado, y disfrutamos de la comida, las instalaciones y las actividades.

Un viaje mas consciente

El concepto y el trabajo por la sostenibilidad, mirando a la comunidad. La situación en una preciosa playa, la amabilidad y profesionalidad del personal, la deliciosa comida, las amenities, la atmósfera, las zonas comunes, la belleza del diseño en todos los espacios. Se ocupan de organizar con terceros excursiones, y actividades. Es simplemente precioso.

Mejoraría las sabanas, la escasa intimidad porque se oye todo en las habitaciones, los ruidos de obras dentro del Lodge.

El hotel tiene toda una ideología Eco muy interesante que te cambia la percepción, como la reducción del agua, la reutilización que ellos hacen y el no usar nada plástico, nosotros nos devolvimos con nuestra basura.

A highlight during my trip to the Colombian coast <3

Beautiful room- grateful for the ceiling and floor fans because it was HOT and humid during my visit. The design of the room is very well ventilated. Also happy for the mosquito net but I did not notice an abundance of mosquitos (I used the provided plug in repellant which I guess works very well!). Excellent, helpful, happy staff and adorable gang of beach dogs who I would think were also on staff if I didn't know any better. Really good cocktails and food. Best of all, Dos Aguas connects you with locals who provide activities in the area and this was my absolute favorite part - I did a great hike through the tropical dry forest (which wasn't dry after heavy rains but gorgeous and interesting) and the perfect yoga class. They are super close to a dive center and I enjoyed a day of scuba and also got a massage. I spent some time just lounging in the beach chairs in front of the lodge and floating in the warm ocean. People do approach you to sell things and they are so friendly and not aggressive at all. I tried some sweet treats and got some cute jewelry. It was just great!

Really lovely place located in a hidden gem of an area in colombia!

Great eco conscious hotel looked in a charming, non touristy little town

Because of the room setup, it can be a bit noisy at times during the night, but wasn't too bad overall

Perfect eco lodge with great food

- stunning eco lodge next to the sea - amazing staff - great food and breakfast - free coffee and tea - they habe their own recycling system and use the water 3 times - very conscious behavior towards nature

- nothing - the inly thing to take into consideration is that the rooms are not completely closed so maybe you hear the people in the other rooms (eben though it's forbidden to be loud)

Amazing. On the beach. A bit further so it s quiet and clean. The place is just amazing. People are lovely, and they have a high sense of ecological/environmental concerns. 12 out of 10. Rooms, services, facilities are awesome.

Truly memorable experience

Location is spectacular - right on the beach. Staff are brilliant and there is a genuine focus on sustainability, rather than just using it as a buzzword. Rooms are really comfortable. Activities were fantastic. A really memorable experience.

10/10 - remote, authentic, sustainable, friendly, comfortable place for both active and leisure

There is so much to love about Dos Aguas - comfortable rooms with large beds and that keep cool at night with fans, amazingly friendly staff that seem interested in their guests activities and satisfaction, and the location was exactly what I was looking for... a remote, small town of locals located directly on the coast. The lodge is environmentally conscious and seeks to foster sustainability and economic prosperity for the local community. I staid 6 days - and could easily have staid twice that. As an endurance runner, I appreciate running the main road (long runs) as well as the coastline (~6k) each morning. It was great to get familiar with other early risers as well as see a couple other local runners!

This was my first time to Colombia and I speak very little Spanish. I was concerned about being able to navigate from Cartagena airport to Rincon by taxi, bus, and moto. Despite language challenges - it was a long trip, but was actually very simple. This made getting there very affordable. The ride back was arranged by private car - and again a long trip (about 2.5-3 hours) but delivered directly to the airport to my flight. The WiFi was adequate enough for me to attend online class. I'm reaching for anything to 'not' like... part of my desire was to find a location that was not easy to get to!

Superb

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They all try to give you best advice to have the best holiday. The location of the hotel is stunning, everything is super relaxed.

The breakfast could include a bit more fruits, especially the pancakes. And the main dishes could include regional options. The ladies in the kitchen are amazing and great cooks but we were missing some of their influence on the dishes.

one of our favourite hotel stays ever

We adored our stay here. favourite slice of heaven in Colombia. Their sustainability ethos is incredibly inspiring and I left feeling motivated to take forward some of their steps. Meli front of house is such an asset to the hotel. such a kind and organised easy going individual. the island boat trip was excellent. the food is delicious. the rooms are beautiful. the yoga area is beautiful. loved it.

the one thing was that we found the food service to take a bit of time. around 40mns after ordering. but also, if you accept the vibe and order a little ahead then it should not be too much of a bother.

It was a lovely experience

The food was excellent, the ambience very chill. Snorkelliingvawas great, swimming with bioluminescent plankton was amazing, so cool! For anyone coming from Cartegana that wants private transport forc290,000 COP, contact Amelia Transportes Guillo, they are excellent, great driver, nice comfortable, safe vehicle, way more reasonable than other private services. Alternatively a taxi to San Onofre, then the bus to or from Cartegena comes in at about 75,000 one way, and the buses are comfortable. Well with the trip, no matter how you get there.

The yucca chips were a little heavy, they would be better if they were sliced more thinly

Exceptional

The hotel is amazing, exactly like in the pictures with a kind and professional staff. The beach is beautiful and safe to swim at all times of the day. The cocktails and food prepared at the hotel are delicious, and more or less the same price as in the rest of the village. Can't wait to return!

It would be great to have some help with the luggage when arriving. They are very clear that the last 100m you have to walk on the beach and do send someone to help you carry the suitcase(s) when you're leaving - the same would be nice upon arrival.

Great stay!

The hostel is ON THE BEACH! Amazing! And what's even better is that it's at the end of the beach of Ricon, so it's very quiet and relaxing, without the noise of the rest of Ricon. Vegan fond was very good aswell :)

The bed could have been bigger and more confortable.

Tranquil...fulfilling...satisfying.

Everything went well. The staff are terrific : friendly...helpful...accommodating...informative...genuine. The efforts for sustainability are unique and very nice to experience. The food is diverse and fresh and very good. The owners and staff are committed to operating with low impact on the environment and are creative in the operation of this Lodge. This property is the best in Rincon...a very tranquil and relaxing place to enjoy a vacation.

The only thing that could have been better...is if I could have stayed longer !
