I am very happy that I booked this hostel. The staff is super friendly, positive, and very helpful. It feels very familiar, and the breakfast was included and nicely arranged. They were also accommodating for different dietary preferences, providing vegan cake and vegan pizza rolls, for example. The atmosphere among the guests was fantastic, and every evening there were activities organized. The surf lessons were amazing, and I was able to make progress while enjoying a great atmosphere there too! I highly recommend the accommodation and the surf school!

Superb

The staff is amazing. So lovely people. I also really like the curtains around the bunk beds. So you can enjoy privacy even you are in a dorm :-). Also the breakfast was amazing! Thanks, I really enjoyed my stay!

Superb

Vic and Sinbad, and the others really made me feel at home. Super chill and friendly place, with cozy facilities! I only had a couple of nights booked, but decided to stay much longer.. Choose to stay here when you come to Sagres :-)

I wouldn’t stay again

the location is good and not too far from the coast. the bed was very comfortable.

The atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming. It didn’t feel like a travelling hostel. There are no locks on the room doors or the entrance door.

Amazeballs

Perfect! The breakfast is unreal and the beds are comfy! I loved the nightlight and the curtain :) Even though I shared a room with 5 guys and I was the only girl I felt super safe! We had an en suite bathroom with another balcony, which was awesome! Absolutely loved the vibe and the familiar feel! Thanks

I was not really digging the sheets, but maybe that’s just my taste ;)

Perfect location with a short walk to all the beaches. The staff make fresh bakeries every morning and clean the rooms every day. I loved to stay at Algarve Surf Hostel and I am coming there next year as well. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn surfing or just chill in this beautiful city.

The family vibe that you got from the hosts. Had a lot of nice facilities, like ping pong table, outside 'lounge' area to relax, TV with Netflix in the indoor lounge, good kitchen, washing machine. You could easily book surf equipment or classes with the assigned shop/school. Really nice beds with blackout curtains that made your personal space private despite being in a mixed dorm. We went here for the breakfast reviews and were not disappointed!

More of a party place

I liked that the staff could be friendly, and that there was a sense of community. There was an Italian volunteer that went above and beyond.

Maybe because of covid, but felt like a party place. I didn’t get a single good night sleep during my time there. Ok the volunteers had a close clique, which meant sometimes you felt out of place as a guest. WiFi was on and off although Mike was doing his best to fix it.
