This is the first time I am giving a detailed review because the house was not what we were hoping for mainly due to not being properly cleaned upon arrival. The floors had crumbs and were not mopped (large spill leaving dirt near kitchen). Dining room had crumbs and dust bunnies at table legs and Under bench. We had to wipe down the stovetop due to food crumbs and smears. There were spider webs on the ceiling. As to furniture, two metal dining room chairs are bent and unsafe and one chair in downstairs small bedroom has a broken leg. I am disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. I do appreciate the charm of an old house which would be much better if it was properly clean. As to the kitchen - items are lacking such as cooking spatula and spoons, only two old melted like ones in drawer, need better cutting boards and more than one cloth kitchen towel. Honestly, we left the kitchen cleaner than we found it. At least two toilets have loose bases. Also, there were roaches in the downstairs main bathroom (with footed tub) as well as a huge spider we had to smash which made us notice the many spiderwebs. There are good features- the many sleeping options, the size of the home, the old house details.

A few issues: AC did not cool the home; first night very uncomfortable; 3 vents downstairs had no air flow. We thought we had booked the tiny house in the back but when it didn't unlock we called reservations number- we were told someone else had it reserved (no one used it all weekend, it was available) - we had to rent a hotel room to have enough beds so the family was not all together. not what we expected.

The doors have an issue with their locking mechanisms. The owners aren't ready to reach.

It was a great place to stay. There was 11 people that stayed there for my sons turning blue ceremony. Plenty of space, clean, nice kitchen and large dinning room.

This was a great house for little to big people. We hung out on the porch, the room with tables, and the front room a lot. 18 of us for the stay with 4 extra a few hours 1 afternoon to celebrated our matriarchs 92nd birthday. Finding a place to fit all of my children and grandchildren all out of state was a chore, but this place was a perfect fit.

Property is not as described. Beds and rooms are missing

It needs more lighting in all the rooms. Quite a few light bulbs were out and needed to be replaced.
Other than that, the location is good for quick access to the downtown area and eating places, nice quiet neighborhood, needed heavier curtains to block out the street lights at night.

This place was just what we needed for our family vacation. The home was very roomy and just the right amount of space for everyone. Loved the huge dining room. We ate and played games in there! Would recommend to stay for a family!

8 of us stayed here for 3 nights while in town for a ceremony at Ft Moore. The house had plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. All amenities you needed were there. Location was quiet, and close to downtown where the main shops and restaurants m were. Only about 15 mins from Ft Moore. Would certainly stay again.

Had an amazing time. The only initial setback was the operations of the home heating system. The Thermostats failed and the dwelling was temped at 55 degrees. We call the concern in and it was corrected within a couple of hours. The Tech on site Will was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us and correct the issue. He had to make a couple of trips but did an amazing job and was very professional in his approach to our concerns. We could not be more happy and look forward to future visits.

Goldfinch Property
We were in town for a wedding and had a nice two-night stay. I overlooked the details of an email request to complete the rental agreement received after booking our stay three months prior. My credit card was charged but I received no subsequent emails stating the agreement needed to be signed before check-in instructions would be provided. Once I contacted the property manager (day of check-in), he promptly responded and we were able to check in without incident.
The master bedrooms on both floors have adjoining bedrooms between them and the master bathrooms so there are actually only 3 bedrooms with their own entrances. Not an issue for us, as we only needed the 3 bedrooms.
Check-out at 10:00 a.m. was a bit too early; the standard 11:00 a.m. would have been much better. Overall, this is a nice property with very responsive managers and we enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed the stay.
House was a little older but was nice. Only 1 tv and there was only two showers 1 tub only. Overall it was a nice place with plenty of space. Could update the bathrooms a bit and make sure people know that two of the rooms are adjoining.

Large, charming old house
The high ceilings and many original features makes it an attractive house. The kitchen has quality cabinets, but has suffered a bit, e.g. the integrated garbage bin slides out constantly and there is a brick (!) to keep it shut. Pot and pans and basics like a colander are missing if you want to cook for a larger group as well as the number of chairs in the dining room as a collection we had to assemble from across the house.
Shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away by car but the house is in the middle of a residential area, not connected to the town center.
Check in and communication was easy and seamless.
Be prepared that the driveway and backyard has shared access with the house in the back, I.e. suddenly ‘strangers‘ are walking through the backyard. Just good to know.

Don’t Rent This Place!
This house is filthy and in need of renovations! The rugs are disgustingly dirty, ceiling fans are caked in dust, furniture is worn out and falling apart. The bedrooms are not as they appear online. You have to walk through bedrooms to get to other bedrooms and bathrooms. Only one real shower and that bathroom door does not close and latch leaving it open while showering. The other bathrooms have tubs with shower heads that do not function as showers. Kitchen is adequate but fifthy dirty. Some beds did not have top sheets only bottom sheet and bed spread. There is a tiny house in the backyard that was also rented and we had to move cars around so they could get in and out of the only driveway..... he ended up parking on the street. The front door key was missing from the lock box when we arrived. I called and emailed multiple times and received a message six hours later that the key would be replaced but in our three night stay no one ever brought a key. We entered only through the back door keypad. If this is the only rental available Stay Home!!

Big house that has Big issues
I was not going to give a review for this rental but I recieved several emails wanting me to review this house. So, I am going to give you a true and honest review.
There were rocking chairs and swing advertised online, but There are NO ROCKERS or SWING. The one and only TV in the house was very difficult to work. I fell inside the house while there and I repeatedly tried to call/text the numbers I was given with absolutely no response. I am still having trouble with my leg and knee where I fell. The "Nest" A/C system was a mess because it was preset by someone who was not even around us to know how hot it was with 11 people there. The online ad said that there is a small house in the back of the big house that I could use for my convenience, but the small house had people going in and out of it at all times day and night. Walking within inches of our cars and the windows of the big house. The front porch railing need lots of work around the stairs.
I would like to say somethings good about the house, it was big enough for our entire family to gather together. So, for that I am very grateful!!! Being together was the MAIN REASON for coming to Columbus anyway. With that being said the house definitely needs a lot of love to bring it up to par for renting, but if you have a big family wanting to gather then after some work on the house rent this place. This could be a Great rental.

Would definitely stay again
Owners were Quick to respond if needed. Beautiful home. Kids got a kick out of exploring. Plenty of space for the family. We couldn’t get the TV to work but we never reached out to the owners to ask for help but I’m sure they would’ve helped us.

The house was comfortable and had lots of room. Great for big families. We would stay again. The jacuzzi tub is amazing. The house takes you back to the time it was built.

Home Away from Home
Our stay at the “mansion” was perfect for hosting family while attending Ft Benning’s OCS graduation! The large size and comfy rooms were very appreciated for our large family gathering! We enjoyed our time together without having to find a restaurant or hotel to accommodate our needs. The neighborhood was a good reflection of “Southern Flair” and many of us enjoyed the close proximity of the park. Hope to stay here again as my soldier is assigned to Ft Benning...for now!

Great for a large group!
Our group of 7 had adequate bathroom facilities, bed space and linens. The location is one block from a lovely park with running trails, tennis courts and baseball fields. The kitchen is modern and easy to use. On site laundry comes in handy over a weeks stay.
