House is even nicer than the photos. It is on a very busy road without sidewalks so it can be tricky to cross. If you are snorkling be sure to read up on exactly where to go- there are lots of great spots but you won't find them on your own.

Loved the Tiki House! It was spacious even for our group of seven. Very clean & well maintained. Our two youngest (18 & 21) got a kick out of sleeping in the room with the Finding Nemo theme. Our only concern was the parking situation. We had to rent a 9-passenger van & the drive entrance being on a blind curve made getting in & out of the parking area a little "hairy" at times. But even with that, we would definitely stay at Tiki House again.

Just minutes from the beach and on the municipal bus lines to downtown. Thais is a lovely place for someone who who wants to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big resort area. The grocery store is within walking as are 3 or 4 standout restaurants. West bay beach has some great snorkeling but we recommend the trek to cemetery beach where the access is a bit easier.

We loved it! Great proximity to the beach and easy access to transit and restaurants

Great location steps away from the beach and short walk to everything we needed, very spacious with 4 bedrooms, and 2 levels and, having a fenced in courtyard was so convenient for my two cockapoo dogs. The host was so responsive every time I had a question. I actually wanted to stay longer but it was booked for the following month :(

This was the perfect villa in the perfect location for our group of 5 adults. It's far enough away from the resorts, but close enough to get around town easily (with a rental car). Beach right across the street, dining and groceries within walking distance, and a newly renovated kitchen to cook in some nights. Less than two miles to the Turtle Centre and two of our favorite restaurants, Vivo and Macabuca, both of which have good vegan options. Rob is a great host and provided excellent guidance before we arrived, and he is very responsive for any issues that may arise during the stay. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful house, responsive owner
We stayed here in Feb for a week. The house is beautiful and the island is perfect for a family vacation. The house has a lot of towels and a washer/dryer that's very convenient. We rented a car and drove around the island. Governor's beach is our favorite beach for swimming. Starfish point is best beach for kids. The property has outdoor water pipe and shower that you can use to wash sands before you enter the house. Overall good location and beautiful. Highly recomended.

Perfect Family Vacation
Spacious home in a quiet location, right across from West Bay Beach and a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, shops and many island activities. Two floors, each with two bedrooms and bath, make Tiki House ideal for groups, couples and those with children - anytime of the year. We cooked most of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The laundry room with its large washer and dryer easily handled our clothes and the beach towels that were provided. The owner is very responsive and helpful from the moment of booking to check-out. We highly recommend Tiki House!

Unique vacation home - perfect for the right group
Our group of four couples, all friends, were able to stay in one place, eat together, relax together at our own pace and schedule. There is enough room for all of that without being on top of each other. It did require that one couple embrace the Nemo room, which my husband and I did - and we were perfectly comfortable after putting the twin beds together. The location is 10 minutes drive from the best access to Seven Mile Beach. The beach right out the door is OK, but not the place we would hang out all day. We used it the first morning to check out our equipment, and get adjusted to the island, but after that we drove elsewhere. The house is also only 3 minutes from DiveTech - highly recommend for divers - especially if you are comfortable, or want to try, diving without a guide. We also used Living the Dream for a boat dive, and they picked us up right at the dock across the street. And there are a number of wonderful restaurants also just a few minutes walk or drive away. Loved Alfresco's.
I can't go five stars for the home because of some issues. You need to bring or buy every consumable product, whether that's salt and pepper, enough toilet paper for the week, laundry soap. We did make some requests, and the owner was responsive, but his management team might have been on vacation that week. They never showed. There are ants, which we swept out or wiped up, but that isn't unusual on an island. The neighborhood is residential and the local public park may feel a little uncomfortable if you are expecting fellow tourists. We enjoyed it, and walked along Boggy Sand Rd every morning to watch the sun rise.

Good as prior reviews indicate
We stayed here from April 6 - 13, 2019. Generally, we agree with prior reviewers. It is close to an interesting and great beach. The house is clean, well appointed, works very well for families, and the owner is responsive. We had a great time for an early 50th wedding anniversary with three generations of our family. We would highly recommend the Tiki House.

Super Cute Home
We had a big group stay ranging from kids to seniors and the house was perfect for all of us! The separate room with a big table accommodated our group perfectly! We loved the location, being just a short walk to the beach so some could nap while others enjoyed the beach. If you are looking for a house with Caymanian character and not just another hotel room this house is for you.

Great value for a family.
Rob,
I just wanted to thank you for a great two weeks. We loved the Tiki House, especially the location. My family had such a wonderful time.
The diving and snorkeling are the best anywhere! We especially like the dive shop at Dive tech. Great advice and service. Macaboca and Edens rock were also great spots for dives. Can't beat $15 US for a dive!
The Royal Palms beach club is an exceptional spot to spend an afternoon. And it's free when the cruise ships aren't there! Dinner at the Calypso grille was a treat (although not inexpensive).
I met up with the property manager at Budget car rental on the last day by accident. Small island!!
We loved the place and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Maybe next year. :).
Thank you!

Great house and location
We had a wonderful stay at the Tiki House while we were in town for a wedding. We were a group of 7, but you can easily fit 8 people in the house. The kitchen and living room are very modern and renovated. Everything was clean and comfortable. Having a patio with a table and deck chairs outside is great for relaxing in the evenings. The house is literally right across the street from a very nice beach and only about a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride from the airport. Highly recommend this place and will be staying here again if we come back to Cayman! The owner was very helpful and communicative, and he even let us check in early. Thanks for everything, Rob!

Excellent!
My family visited the island in January. The first time for most of us and a return for my wife after 40 years. Tiki House fit our needs and exceeded our expectations. The owner (Rob) was extremely helpful and informative regarding the local area sites, shopping and restaurants.
We absolutely plan to return soon and will book this offering again.

A Taste of the Island
It is a simple quaint little older beach house. We never met Rob or the house manager, but we were so prepared by the email information, that it felt like it was home to our group of 8, consisting of adult children and friends, from the get go. We had a wonderful time, lots of laughs, and great memories.
The courtyard was truly delightful for sure. Sipping coffee and tea in the morning while looking at the sea and unwinding in the evening after a wonderful day of swimming and exploring with a cocktail. Our family had games in the studio and around the dinner table every night. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and snorkeling. Our main goal was to relax, swim, cook, and play board games together. We are a pedestrian family, so we did not rent a car. That said, we will rent the next time we come just so we can explore, at will, more of the island. Their is easy access to public transportation from the cottage.
There are several restaurants within walking distance. If you want a quaint unique farm to table restaurant, my husband and I walked to Vivo on our way to the Cayman Turtle Farm. Amazing food and view.
The Tiki House is right off an active road, so if occasional traffic noise bothers you, this might not be your place.
The kitchen had everything to prepare and serve meals. The two bathrooms for eight people worked out well. They are dated but we all had hot water for our showers.
There was plenty of seating for all of us inside and out. Some of the outside chairs need to be replaced as the salt air has worn the metal down on the legs. The birds and an occasional iguana were more than entertaining and delightful.
One thing missing was a clothesline. We put a temporary one up along the back fence to hang our beach towels up. Because power is expensive and it is an island, we used the lovely gentle breeze in the evening to shake the sand out and dry the towels for the next day's use. It worked every day for us.
If you must connect to the world, the wi-fi connection handled all of us.
Having a keyless entry was nice too. No keys to loose.
If you want a low keyed, chill vacation, where your main attire is a bathing suit, than this is the place. Open the windows and blinds and enjoy.

Great family house
We had a wonderful stay at Tiki house. The location on the north end of Seven Mile Beach is good - the beach was great for sunning, swimming and snorkeling. The house was a little on the older end, but was clean, tidy and well stocked with towels and kitchen needs. The layout of the house is fun and quirky. We had poker games in the game room and we barbecued in the lovely flowered patio area. The owner was easy to communicate with and his instructions where clear and thorough.

Watch your belongings
The home and location are fine. Close to good places to eat. However, if you go, watch your personal belongings. Even the property is enclosed, we had a local come through the gate. He was asking for alcohol and then stole a phone which was left outside on the table. The owner was contacted and in his reply let us know that he was aware of this person. The property manager confirmed the same. It would have been nice if they give advanced notice that this person has been known to come on the property.
Other that that, the house is fine. The home sits on a very busy road and you will hear cars all night long as the master bedroom is about 25 feet away from the road.

Amazing Experience
Tiki House was a a fabulous venue for our family to enjoy each other and the Camanian island life! We were a three-generation family of 8. Grandparents, parents and 2 adult children with spouses. The layout and the location of the Tiki House were first-rate. With four bedrooms, a family room, 2 full baths, outdoor patio/gathering area and a game room, we were all commenting on how much we enjoyed the Tiki House over a resort or condo. Breakfasts, cocktails and games and lots of laughs out on the patio were a daily occurrence. Morning and evening walks along the beach to watch the sun rise and set. Had everything we needed to enjoy a week in paradise!
There were no surprises, as Rob was amazing at letting us know what to expect, where to go for necessities, restaurants, etc. Mark, the property manager was terrific once we got there, as well. Quiet, relaxing home to create life-long memories!
We did rent a couple of cars, but with the location of the Tiki House, we walked a majority of time to the beach, to eat out and shop at the grocery store. Great location! If you are looking to be immersed in the local way of life and away from the "touristy" feel, this is your rental!
Heritage Kitchen was our favorite eat out. Chicken! Chicken! great take out for a meal and cheap. West Bay Diner also a walk-to eatery.
Snorkeling just off the beach was a daily event.

Idyllic retreat - the perfect vacation
Tiki house was beautiful and in an amazing location - so close to the most picturesque, white sandy beach. It was truly breathtaking. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and really helped us make the most of our vacation. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Stunning and Relaxing
our most recent visit was our second time staying at Tiki House and we cannot wait to come back for a third!
the home is in great condition, and it works out perfectly for us.. there are two floors, so each couple had their own living area and private bath.
we like to cook, the kitchen is large and fully equiped.
Mark, the Manager, is wonderful and charming and answered our questions promptly.
we love the location . the beach is beautiful and uncrowded,, and the snorkling is fantastic!
there is a grocery store close by as well as some neat places to eat.
Tiki House feels more like home every time we visit

We booked a 10 day stay at the Tiki House but ended departing for another rental after 5 days but more on that later. The Tiki House is a tolerable rental. The location provides good access to seven mile beach [although you do need to drive everywhere as the beach across the street is less than appealing], the house itself is a decent size, with a good layout and comes with a well-stocked kitchen. But do not be fooled. The house is worn. The house is musty. When we arrived one of the beds was broken [the owner did nothing to address when informed], the chairs in the courtyard are torn and rusted, and the upstairs floor is nothing more than a cheap laminate that has soft spots. The house was well stocked with towels but did not have beach chairs or a cooler as advertised. While the house is proximate to SMB it is located a a bend on a fairly busy road [keep in mind we were there in the slow season] meaning you will hear traffic at most hours and have to deal with a difficult driveway entry / exit. The house is not what we envisioned when we booked, however, we would have stayed through our reservation given the money we spent however we were forced to leave due to an infestation of rats. Rats were present at the outset of our trip but by the middle of our stay were running through courtyard, overhead trullece, and on the roof of the buildings making it impossible to use the outside living area. We were lucky to find an inexpensive rental on the water that was beautifully appointed saving our vacation. Rob, the owner of the Tiki House refused to refund any of the money for the unused days.

Tiki House Dive Trip
Robert was great to work with in getting the house reserved and making sure we had no issues finding or accessing the property. It was perfectly located for our diving trips we did with DiveTech around West Bay. It was close enough to get to 7 Mile Beach/Georgetown when we wanted to and there are plenty of restaurants within 5 min of the house to satisfy all. Great trip and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Our experience with Tiki House was perfect from the very beginning. Robert, the owner, was almost immediately responsive, from the initial request through to the couple of questions we had prior to departure. Tiki House is clean, comfortable, and well appointed for every family comfort. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of room to unload suitcases and hang clothing in the closets. The kitchen is well stocked and user-friendly. Over the course of a week we made most of our meals in Tiki House and lacked for nothing. The appliances are new. We made use of the local, large grocery store that is a very short drive or an easy walk away. The washing machine and dryer completed the list of conveniences. Tiki House is less than a two minute walk from the beautiful Caribbean, with lovely rolling waves, a clean beach, and a reef that was perfect for new snorkelers. There is a lovely restaurant on the beach where you can enjoy a nice dinner outside. The location of Tiki House is ideal if you dont want to be in the middle of the most touristy parts of the island. Renting a car allowed us to explore the island, enjoy the parts we wanted to experience, and feel like we were coming home to our lovely patio under the bougainvillea at the end of the day. We highly recommend Robert and Tiki House and would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed at the Tiki House for two weeks back in March and it was excellent. Rob and his team have an excellent rental house and were very easy and professional to work with. We had 6 people, 3 adults and 3 kids and it was very comfortable for all of us. The location is great as it is very close walking distance to the beach. The beach there was great for kids. We also ventured out to other beaches on the island and were never disappointed. The house and property was clean and well furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed the patio and seeing all the iguanas on the property. Also, close to the house is two of our favorite low-key restaurants on the island in Heritage Kitchen and Alfrescos. They both had excellent food that even our little kids enjoyed.

We had never been to Grand Cayman before and a friend recommended West Bay. This is the perfect location away from all the touristy mayhem but close to amenities like a supermarket, great restaurant and beautiful beach - all within walking distance. The house was clean and loaded with everything you need for your stay. I loved the patio and had every meal at home there. Its always a great place to read. You will probably meet the resident iguana who lives on property as well. Rob (the homeowner) was very helpful not only with great things to see and do on island, but also to make getting to house a breeze. If youve never been to CI, make sure you visit the turtle farm and Stingray City. The botanical gardens are beautiful and Rum Point is a fun place to spend the day. We never had a bad meal on island. A few great places to eat near the house are Al Fresco and Cracked Conch. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to CI and would recommend to a friend.

My partner and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Tiki House in June 2013. Rob was great - very prompt at replying to messages, and clearly detailed expectations and the process of picking up keys, check out process, etc. in a written document when we signed the rental agreement. He also provided excellent recommendations on where to go for food & how to get around. The house is quite spacious, clean, and gets a decent amount of natural light. There is a generously sized kitchen - great for us because we wanted to do a lot of cooking. We didnt use the TV but the internet was very reliable, and Rob helpfully provides a pre-paid cell phone that you can use while staying there to avoid roaming charges, which you just need to fill up to the same level when you leave, easy to do at a number of locations around Grand Cayman. A lovely beach is just steps away across the road as described. You cant see it that well in the posted photos but there is an adorable attic room painted to look like a submarine with Finding Nemo characters in the portholes - perfect for kids! All in all, a great experience - I would recommend staying at Tiki House if you want to be away from the main tourist drag but still easily accessible to Georgetown.

My family and I just returned from a month stay at the Tiki House and we had a fabulous time. We have 3 small children under the age of 5 and the house was perfect for us. The kids spent tons of time searching for lizards in the nice shady yard. We loved the location, just 2 minutes from the beach, just beware that it is quite a blind corner so you need to be careful. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues that needed fixing and we were extremely impressed with how quickly they got resolved. Overall, it was a perfect stay for us! Thanks for the great month.

Tiki house was everything I hoped for - spacious, clean, well maintained and all the amenities of home. The patio with bougainvillea overhead was the perfect spot for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Although the property is not directly on the beach, walking there was quick, easy, and hassle free. There are two restaurants in walking distance - one on the water that is perfect for sunset viewing and dining and the other perfect for a variety of breakfast choices.
The whole island experience was what I hoped it would be - from swimming with the stingrays to shopping for last minute jewelry purchases for Christmas gifts. My husband has already asked that I check into future availability. I recommend this property for families or couples.

My family recently stayed at the Tiki House. We absolutely loved it. It is very spacious and has everything you need to enjoy your stay on Grand Cayman. From ice chests to beach chairs, Tiki House has it to make your stay on Cayman very enjoyable. I especially liked the coral wall so that my boys (11, 8, and 6) could go outside and look for iguanas. I like the location of Tiki House because it is far enough away from all the crowds, but close enough to everything on the island. Tiki House is right down the road from great restaurants, a grocery store, and gread shopping. It is within walking distance to a very beautiful beach with great snorkeling. The owner is especially helpful when you rent Tiki House. He provided us with several suggestions of things to do and good restaurants to try while we were staying on Tiki. We tried almost all of his suggestions and were pleased with everything we did. We will definitely stay at Tiki House again when we go back to Grand Cayman! Thanks Rob for making this vacation one that my family and I will remember for years to come!
