Exceptional

Location is simply perfect. Quick walk to the inexpensive ferry to Valetta. The apartment is clean and well equipped (kitchen items, etc.)

The house is 500 years old. Charming, but with the inevitable occasional musty smell. A small thing, really.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Wonderful hostess. Very helpful. location was a little difficult to find but an excellent location for day trips.

Only comments were beyond anyone’s control: it was unusually cold when we were there and we needed a space heater (that our hostess promptly refilled when we told her it was empty); a storm dropped over 80mm of rain in one day and some of it seeped under the front door. Easily solved with clothes stuffed under the front door.

Unfortunately has to do with Malta in general and not with Amelia's house. Malta has a very humid climate and visiting the island during winter time is a bit of a problem for people they have respiration problems. And of course staying at a historic and lovely house made of stones with huge walls will not help you 😉

Superb

Clean, spacious, beautiful apartment with a lot of character. Large kitchen/dining. 2 toilets. Close to buses, ferry to Valletta. Close to shops and bars / restaurants. We had no problems parking a rented car, it was an easy drive to airport and other destinations.

Superb

We loved the apartment. It's hidden in a small alley and is very peaceful. The rooms are quite big and there's two bathrooms (one has a bath). The apartment was clean and had all the facilities that were listed on this site.

A small old stone house, nicely renovated and conveniently located for the main areas of Malta.

This small house is one of the original 400-500 year-old houses dating back to the early days of modern Malta but beautifully renovated and decorated. It is located in Cospicua on a narrow pedestrian alley but is convenient for local shops, bus stops and the ferry across Grand Harbour to Valletta (great value - €1 each way). The house is a good size for two or four people with good-sized rooms, two WCs, etc. Being constructed of solid limestone blocks it would be cool in the summer.

As mentioned, the house is constructed of solid stone. The downside of this is that anyone renting the house in late winter/early spring would be wise to take some warm clothes, although in fairness, the bedrooms have heating and the host provided an extra heater for the living areas.

She waited hours for us to arrive.

We were late due to flight delays of 3 hours plus ridiculous 1.5 hours or more to get out of the Malta airport, due to strict pandemic checks. She was extremely kind and patient throughout our delays. The house is very unique and over 500 years old. It is an old part of the city. The walk to a ferry to Valetta is only 10 mins. The kitchen is large and clean. The air conditioners work very well.

The streets outside are riddled with pigeon poop… but this is normal and beyond her control. The property itself gives you the best experience to see what these places look like inside.

Beautifully decorated apartment in a very old stone building. Very well kept. Good kitchen for meal prep. Very nice hosts (who graciously bailed us out when I left the keys inside).

Needs some heat in the living room/kitchen and/or wifi in the bedroom which does have heat. It was a bit cold on cool January nights.

Great location to visit the 3 cities and Valletta

The location was perfect to experience the beautiful harbour of Cospicua and was only a short 5 mins regular ferry ride or gondola style motorboat to Barrakka Gardens in Valletta. The house offered a quirky small living room and a large well equipped modern kitchen and gothic style bedroom. After a couple of days wondering if we should have stayed in the hustle and bustle of Valletta we warmed to our accommodation and the peaceful late night boat ride home and quaint well lit street. Provisions can be bought from the close by well priced friendly maltese corner shop. We have no reservations in recommending the property and hopefully will return in future.

Nothing, we loved the well priced quirky accommodation and location.
