BEDROOMS
There are 3 private bedrooms, each with comfortable memory foam mattresses. The front bedroom has a queen/twin bunk sleeping arrangement and cubbies for nighttime phone/tablet charging. The downstairs master has a raised queen bed, HDTV and armchair. There’s a king bed and HDTV in the upstairs bedroom.
BATHROOMS
The main bathroom is off of the living room and features a tub-shower. The second bathroom is off of the downstairs master bedroom and has a large 6’x3’ walk-in shower.
LIVING SPACES
The living room, kitchen and dining room are all open to each other and offer plenty of space for your entire group. Like the other televisions, the living room HDTV is Roku enabled/equipped. Across from the upstairs bedroom is a semi-private, secondary hangout space with a daybed (daybed linens not provided).
ACCOMMODATION
The home is equipped and intended to sleep 6 people comfortably. While there is technically space for 8-9, we know that not every travel party consists of couples—there’s no need to bring an air mattress—the day bed (day bed linens not provided) and twin bunk give you space to spread out. Our max guests, including children, is still limited to 6.
ANIMAL-FREE HOME
Allergic to animals? This home is always animal-free in order to provide guests with animal allergies a comfortable place to vacation.
OUTDOOR SPACE
Off the back of the home is a semi-private patio with dining for 6. Located close to the water, there’s almost always a nice breeze on the property and the large pine trees offer shade most of the day making outdoor relaxation comfortable. The outdoor space of this home is yours to enjoy and not shared with our resort.
Additionally, you have full access to our beach across the street at Cottage Cove.
RULES
We want you to have an awesome experience at the house and hope you enjoy your whole vacation. Our biggest philosophy is leave it as you found. I.e., clean up after yourself and treat the property as if it were your own. We think this is a place you’ll want to stay again after you experience it the first time.
++WHAT TO EXPECT++
Each of our vacation rental properties possesses distinctive traits, and we consider it essential for you to be aware of these prior to your visit. Our goal is to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for every guest, and understanding these differences from your home can contribute to that. To assist in making your booking decision more informed, we present some key points for your consideration.
++SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS++
SHARED SPACES: This cottage shares beach access with our next-door property, Cottage Cove. Consequently, the beach is shared with other guests and the possibility of dogs.
CLEANLINESS: We prioritize offering a clean environment for your vacation. Every linen, appliance, surface, and fixture is thoroughly cleaned between stays. However, there are some points to note.
• Our spacious, circular driveway at our next-door property, Cottage Cove, is a great playground for kids and provides a smooth walking surface. However, it can lead to oil being tracked into the cottage from the asphalt, especially when guests walk barefoot from the beach. Despite our diligent cleaning efforts, the asphalt can sometimes leave oil marks on the cottage floors and bathtubs.
• With the beach comes sand, which we endeavor to remove completely. However, if we miss a few grains, rest assured they've been mopped, sprayed, or wiped clean.
• Please note, these points are not meant to excuse substandard cleaning. If you ever feel our cleaning is insufficient, let us know immediately, and we'll rectify the situation.
COASTAL LIVING CHALLENGES: Our vacation rental homes are located on Lake Huron's shore, close to the Huron National Forest. Given our location and the age of our properties, please be aware of the following.
• Ants and other insects may find their way into the cottage, despite regular pest control efforts. You can help by maintaining food cleanliness and immediate cleanup.
• Rarely, mice may get past our precautions, especially during cooler weather. It's unlikely but worth considering when deciding to book.
ACCESSIBILITY: Our cottages are not handicap-accessible. Most doorways are narrow, and some spaces may present obstacles for those with mobility issues. Please review all photos to assess suitability before booking.
PROVIDED ITEMS: To simplify your packing, we supply essentials for your trip, but with certain limitations to stay competitive.
• Sanitary Items: Expect roughly 1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 2 trash bags.
• Linens/Bedding: We provide each guest with 1 towel and 1 washcloth, based on the cottage's occupancy limit. Each bed is fitted with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, pillows with cases, and a light quilt. In the bathrooms, you'll find 1 floor towel and 1 hand towel. The kitchen is equipped with 1 dishcloth and 1 dish towel. Please note that we do not offer towel exchange services, nor do we provide extra linens beyond what is mentioned here.
• Kitchenware: We provide dinnerware to accommodate the maximum number of guests, plus basic cookware. e.g. at least 1 saucepan, 1 frypan and simple cooking utensils.

Perfect location and getaway for my annual Birthday trip. Aaron communicated well and the accommodations were spot-on with the online description. We were comfortable and will definitely be back next year! We ate at Hilltop, Edelweiss, AuSable Inn Riverview, did two art shows (Harrisville and Tawas), and was able to visit Sturgeon Point Lighthouse and Harrisville State Park. Thank you.

Good experience. Nicely updated property.

We enjoyed the property with our four children. The youngest slept in the loft which worked fine, but Sound travels easily in the house. The kitchen was adequate for simple food preparation. I would have appreciated a larger skillet for pancakes and French toast but appliances are very nice. There was enough hot water for about 3 showers at a time. Hosts were responsive and restocked missing dishwasher detergent promptly.

The house was nice. There were four of us (2 couples). We had plenty of space and the beds were very comfy. We spent most of our time away from the rental so we didn't use the kitchen or go to the lake near the rental.
My husband and I had the lower floor, the other couple had the upper room. It was early spring so a bit chilly; there was only one thinnish blanket on each bed. We called and asked Aaron for some additional blankets; it was late but he offered to bring them right away - we opted to increase the heat and asked him to bring them over the next day (which he did!).
The next morning we noticed there were no filters for the coffee pot - after contacting Aaron we realized the reusable filter was missing. He said he would bring over paper filters and offered to bring us all coffee from a local shop (which we declined - still, very nice of him to offer).
The only other thing missing were:
hand towels in the two bathrooms, so we ended up using the extra towels from the unused 3rd bedroom.
There was only ~ 1-11/2 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, but we were provided with additional rolls.
My only recommendation would be to have extra blankets on-hand for guests who prefer to keep the temps low at night and to consider a checklist of some sort just to make sure all the rooms have the necessary supplies. Aaron was, however, VERY responsive and brought anything we asked for right away. So, all in all it was a fine place to stay.

I had a nice time staying at the property. They communicated with me promptly when I messaged them. It was a little warm in the upstairs bedroom, but I did see central air will be available next year! The beach access was very close. The showers had excellent water pressure and appliances were very nice. The neighborhood was very quiet, which I loved!

Everything was as described and was very clean. Access to the beach was nice to have so close to the house. Plenty of things to do for any outdoors type of person in the area.

The property had plenty of room for for four senior golfers. Each of us had his own bed. Plenty of kitchen space. Sufficient seating in the living/family room. Only one minor issue. We had to call to get a propane tank for the grill. It was resolved very quickly. I will recommend this property and will reserve it again for future golf trips.

This property is as advertised. Cozy House that has a cabin feel.
Major plus: property owner also owns several other properties on the street, so even though this doesn’t have direct beach access - there is a well maintained beach that you have access to across the street. Kids loved it.
Walking distance to other beaches, parks, and food/ice cream options. Also walking distance to grocery stores.

Quaint, lovely home. Several areas in the home to spread out and enjoy. Living space, dining space, loft area. Outdoor area was the spot I looked forward to the most, but the porch had not been swept down and there were way too many cob webs with spiders to feel comfortable and enjoyable. It was a big disappointment.
Also, there were not enough towels (1 bath towel per guest, 1kitchen towel)
We had a three night stay and with no on site laundry it was not great.
We knew going in though, but quickly realized we wished we had at least 2 per person and more in the kitchen. We did use the kitchen to cook meals as there is a fully stocked kitchen.
Property manager responded promptly when I called about a concern. He did his best to accommodate as quickly as possible.
So close to the beach and quiet street!

Great getaway even with inclement weather
We needed a rest after taking care of grandkids for a week.
This VRBO has a phenomenal location steps away from Lake Huron and to the local restaurants and shops. The bathrooms and kitchen are all updated. It was cool and rainy but with our umbrellas and raincoats, we still had a very fun and relaxing three days. October, 2021

We had a great vacation in this cozy cottage. It had everything that we needed to make our stay perfect. It was a short walk to a great sandy beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and charming beach house
This was our first stay in this particular house and we would gladly return! Perfect location and perfect layout for a small family. Enough room for the kids to play and grown ups to hang out. We enjoyed walking to the beach (just down the street) and found everything that we needed close by. Management was super responsive when we needed help with small things (including adding another day to our stay!). Overall, perfect spot for a family getaway!

We loved this house!
Charming older home, beautifully renovated in a beach theme. The home had everything we needed to cook meals, relax and thoroughly enjoy our stay! My husband and I and adult son and daughter were blown away by the cleanliness, condition and location of the home. Lake Huron is gorgeous and the beach is perfect for throwing a blanket down and taking in the fresh air and views. The Ausable River is very close and my husband and son enjoyed fishing there. Super cozy home, comfy beds and perfect amenities. We did not want to leave and want to return!

Great Oscoda Getaway
We had a great time here and the property is so nice and comfortable. Compared to the many other rentals we have stayed in over the years in Oscoda, this was by far the best. Short walk to beach, friendly owners, easy access, privacy, and plenty of places to sleep on comfortable foam mattresses. The master suite shower is awesome! Kids all had their personal space as well as a great family area to hang out and watch tv or play games. 3 smart TVs with your choice of streaming service install, just enter you account info and watch away. Very nice appliances including a dishwasher and disposal (both of which are luxury items when staying up north). Short walk (10 minutes to center) or drive to town. A+ from our family - best place we have spent the week of the 4th in yet!

Awesome place to stay!
perfect place for a young family. We stayed 6 nights and being close to the beach (legit 1 minute walk) on a quiet dead end street was perfect. Nicely updated, all amenities (minus washer and dryer) included and close to restraunts, grocery store, main beach with park and several ice cream stores! The owner was fantastic and responded almost instantly to all communications and was easy going. Highly recommend this place is your staying in or near Oscoda!

Ideal Cozy Place to Stay
Fell in love with this little gem of a beach house. Much like an upscale boutique hotel with all the comforts of home.

That “up north” feel with some luxurious amenities!
We’ve been staying in rentals all over Michigan for years, always on the search for “our spot” that we could return to year after year with our children. We’ve finally found it in Oscoda! The location is ideal with its proximity to Lake Huron and the Au Sable. The beach is clean and secluded, and the local park with splash pad, playground, beach, and local ice cream shops make for a perfect afternoon with kids. The home is older but has nice modern updates - tastefully decorated, uncluttered (great for those sneaky kid hands!), and clean! The beds and furniture are comfortable, and the rain showers are a fabulous way to start or end your days. The kitchen is stocked with higher quality cook and serve ware, and the appliances are top of the line. There is no washer or dryer but there are plenty of places to hang your things to dry, as well as a nice size mud room for storage. We enjoyed grilling, dining, and campfires in the back yard and relaxing on the front porch. Aaron was responsive and reasonable, and we look forward to partnering with him again for next year’s rental!

Enjoyed our stay at this home and the close proximity to the sandy beach.
The one item i feel is needed in this property is a washer and dryer. Due to all the wet towels from the beach.
