We arrived pretty late friday night after a long drive, they upgraded our room to a suite for no charge. The room was very nice, with a very comfortable king bed and a couch in a little living area attached to the room and separated by a double door. Definitely will stay here again.

We have stayed here 2xs. This handicap room with a king bed was not comfortable. Bed was hard and the pillows need to be softer. Other than that we were very happy with service.!

We arrived and found out that the hotel is under renovations. I feel we were paying full price for a room that was in the midst of being renovated, along with the rest of the hotel. It would have been nice to know this prior to booking our rooms. Our bathroom door wouldn't shut, because it was leaning, the windows wouldn't lock shut unless forced, the guest laundry has furniture or something stored in their, the ice machine at the end of the hall was missing, the doors leading to the outside would not lock, because the electronic locking mechanism were missing. There was painters tape over the door frame & bathroom door frame as if they had just recently painted or in the middle of it. The faucet in the tub was hooked up backwards; the hot water came on just by bearly turning the knob near the "C" mark on the dial, but it got colder the closer we got to the "H" mark on the dial.

We only stayed 1 night for a stop over in our way up to Mackinaw. The hotel pictures didnt show the acutal hotel, the outside pictures were different. The room smelled really strong of cleaner and another smell, and it was damp feeling. Once we turned the air unit on it helped. The bed was huge, but felt like you were sleeping on a board, and the carpet, we didnt walk around in our bare feet lets just say that. But for an overnight stay it was ok. We didnt have any breakfast so i cant comment on that. But at night there was scraping on our door several times, and a bumping. My husband and i didnt sleep well at all.

Pool was dirty and needs repairs. Hot tub not even open. Sauna closed and used for storage. Guest laundry room used as storage. Staff not at front desk when needed something. Needs to have a thorough cleaning asdirty in a lot of areas.

This hotel was very deceptive. The pictures do not match the experience that I had. This hotel was away from everything. It was totally secluded. The rooms were VERY dated. The tv was old and the cleanliness was not high quality. There were shreds of hair from the previous person who stayed in the room. The breakfast was basic. There was not enough towels or wash clothes. We were only given a quarter size piece of soap. Now, the staff was nice but I would never visit this hotel again. The price that they charge is RIDICULOUS for what you get at the hotel. Lastly, the walls are thin. I could hear our neighbor coughing and talking. I have 4 children and I was trying to keep them quiet to not disturb the neighbor.

The location was a little further from town & the beach than I expected. Not far from canoe/kayak rental, and located right on the Ausable with pretty backyard. The hot tub was out of service which was a bit of a bummer. Clean room, great breakfast. I had to make a change in our itinerary and the staff was very easy going and friendly, handling it with no problem.

This property was nasty the pool was under construction but open and the hot tub was full of construction material inside of it. For the price per night yall need to disclose that all amenities will not be available to their guests because I certainly would have stayed elsewhere had I known

I accidentally booked the wrong dates and the gentleman helped me out and managed to give me 2 rooms still for the date that I needed. He repeatedly told me that he had started a refund process for the incorrect dates but I had to call to get it completely finished. When I did, the hotel refused to allow the refund that had been promised to me to be processed.

Last tenants leftover halfgone soap was still in shower dish upon our arrival! And yet there was no new unopened soap in the room to use. I had to request soap and shampoo at desk. Sausages at breakfast were very cold and not even fully cooked.Peanut butter packets were part frozen and couldnt even spread on bagels.Breakfast area microwave was broken. Main entry door to hotel was broken.Main door glass was covered with finger prints.Had not been cleaned for quite some time. And I'd never payed more $$ for a room ever. No discount even after I complained. I do NOT recommend AmericInn by Wyndham oscoda mich! I will never go there again.

The sheets were dirty, the carpet had dried/stuck food in it, toilet paper was empty with no refill, had house keeping knocking at my door at 9:30 am. The place has definitely changed since the last time I was there and not for the better. Family in another room said the same. I’m embarrassed we suggested this place.

I had booked this place about 3 weeks prior arriving for a night of swimming with my kids. I had even called the Monday prior to to make sure the pool and hot tub were open and was told yes. When we arrived I was told they have the hot tub but pool has been closed for two years. Their listing and website still show a pool available. Cancelled right then and went to a different hotel.

I like the setting and lounge in the entrance. Dislike that there was no elevator, just stairs to second floor. The pool wasn't open, closed for repair work, there was only one bar of soap in the bathroom. The breakfast bar was pretty skimpy, no hot foods.

The WiFi was terrible we have verizon, the manager came to our room and helped us!! Darrell had to do work on his computer, he helped him change some connections. Greta place to stay!! We were going to the fishing tournament right in the bay great location.
