Hale Holokai is a newly remodeled six-bedroom home with a private pool located across from Ka'anapali Beach Resort on the island of Maui. The house features two master suites and additional bedrooms to comfortably fit two to three families. Our Story: The Maui House is located in the first residential neighborhood of Ka'anapali built in 1971, called Ka'anapali Vista or Hanakao'o, directly across from the world famous Ka'anapali Resort. The owners discovered this neighborhood back in the mid 1990's when they worked on Maui for seven years and believe this is the best island in the world. Maui is No Ka Oi – the best. Today they enjoy this home with their family and hope you experience the aloha of Maui during your stay.
Vacation Tips: We recommend that you stop by Coscto once you land in Kahului airport and pick up groceries for your stay. The kitchen, BBQ and layout of the house is perfect for family meals and fun. Usually guests start their day with a trip to the beach, snorkeling or any one of the many Maui activities and then return to the house in the afternoon for some relaxing by the pool which is normally 80 degrees. Then you can BBQ or go into Lahaina or Ka'anapali for worldclass restaurants and music. Some of our favorites are Merrimans, Mala's, Pacifico's, The Gazebos, Castaway Café, Hula Grill, Leilani's on the beach, Roy's and Star Noodle. Also, Foodland Farms has the best local Poke in town.

Aloha and welcome to Hale Holokai at Kaanapali Vista. As with any Resort or Hotel, there are: policies and regulations that are required of all Guests. Please acknowledge the following list of policies, rules and regulations for Hale Holokai at Kaanapali Vista:
Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM, till 8:00 AM, seven days a week. During these times, noise levels shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area. Outside sound systems should not exceed “HALF” levels past 9:00 PM. This policy is strictly enforced.
Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the short-term rental home is prohibited.
PARKING POLICIES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY COUNTY REGULATION. ALL vehicles shall be parked in the driveway ONLY. There is ample parking for three vehicles or more. On-street parking is strictly prohibited at ALL TIMES.
A maximum of 12 occupants are allowed to stay overnight at the property per Maui County requirement. Any change to occupants listed must be approved by the host. Guest may have other occupants at the property during daytime hours, but ALL vehicles parked on the premises must be approved by the host in advance. If the host suspects at anytime that occupants other than the ones listed in this section have stayed overnight at the property, the host reserves the right to inspect the property and to cancel the remainder of the reservation with NO REFUND.
There is absolutely NO street parking per Maui County requirement during the day or at night. If any cars are parked on the street, the host reserves the right to cancel the remainder of the reservation with NO REFUND. ALL Cars must be parked inside the driveway. The maximum number of cars allowed in the driveway at any time is 4 cars. If more than 4 cars are parked in the driveway, the host reserves the right to cancel the remainder of the reservation with NO REFUND.

Smoking should NOT OCCUR anywhere that would cause the inside of the home to smell of smoke.

We have stayed at Honua Kai at Ka’anapali in the past but we needed a bigger house for our group of 10. I was worried that the walk to the beach would be too far from this house but it really is just a quick walk down the street. It was actually easier than staying at the resort! The house was perfect for our us, our 4 kids and their spouses. The rooms were large and the gathering areas had plenty of room for everyone. The pool and deck are lovely. This is a great house for any group and could accommodate a group much larger than our group of 10.

We had a great stay at Hale Holokai! We were a group of 3 families (one with 2 children) and there was plenty of room for everyone!
Check in was easy - we arrived around 4pm and never heard from our on island contact so simply used the access code to enter then home, simple enough.
The home was perfect for our group, the pool was awesome and watching golfers off the deck was fun! I read a few reviews about road noise so I wasn’t completely surprised - but something to keep in mind - it is pretty loud from 8am-8pm!! The home is a quick walk to the beach or short drive to grocery stores and shops.
We purchased a lot of food to grill but weren’t able to get the blackstone to heat entirely. (I would confirm it’s working prior to your stay so you don’t end up in our position). I did notify Maui reality right away but never heard back from the few emails I sent. That was my main concern, lack of communication. They sent checkin emails asking how things are, to notify them of damages etc. but then never respond or reach out.
The house was sort of clean - some of the walls and registers were coated in dirt so we wiped them down ourselves but otherwise it was comfy and served its purpose! The kitchen was great for cooking all together as a family (big and spacious).
The house doesn’t have any “toddler” items so I rented crib/highchair from BabyQuip.
We were so happy to visit Maui again (this time with both sets of gparents). Would recommend this home for multiple families

This is a beautiful house and a great location. Our family of 12 stayed a week and had plenty of room to spread out. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurant's. Thomas was very help full with any questions we had and always answered our phone calls. We had no issues with the property and highly recommend this house for a large group. You will not be disappointed. It was more than we every dreamed of.

Hale Holokai is a short walk to the Kaanapali beach and restaurants and provided a wonderful family vacation. Kitchen is large and well equipped. Ample seating in both the great room and lanai provided many opportunities for all 9 of us to congregate together. House and pool were clean and well maintained. External staircase near pool required a bit of vigilance for 3 and 5 year olds who loved the downstairs bunk beds, but lower level also provided privacy for those waking early. Would definitely stay again!

Our family (parents, adult children, grandchildren) traveled to Maui to spend a week together and celebrate our milestone anniversary. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and visiting various beaches, sites, and Mt Haleakala. The pool at the house was an extra bonus, especially for the grandchildren. The house was beautiful and gave us lots of room for both togetherness and privacy. We loved it!

Our stay was fantastic. Check in was easy. The house offers so many things, great spot on the golf course as well. It's hard to find really any faults, 2 families and some friends were no problem for space.
One thing we didn't realize was the basement is only accessible from the outside (no interior staircase). Not the biggest deal, just something to note.
Overall, was a great week here, everyone enjoyed the stay and we would definitely come back again.

Property manager did not meet us at the house but did communicate by phone. While beautiful the 2 upper bedrooms over garage were not properly air conditioned. The pool needed to be cleaned and were told it’s done regularly on Monday but we arrived Thursday. The pool furniture was subpar and broken and the beach chairs were as well. I recommend that at this price point more attention to detail would go a long way.

We loved this property. It was well laid out with plenty of bedrooms/beds for a large family. It has an excellent location with easy walking access to Kaanapali Beach and Whaler’s village, but is set back just a bit for privacy with a private pool and much more space to spread out than the resorts right on the beach. The best of both worlds.
The property was clean, well maintained, and the kitchen was well stocked with basic necessities.
One thing to be aware of is that two of the six bedrooms are accessed outside under the lanai, so would only work for teenagers or in-laws/ two families traveling together. That being said, it would be a perfect layout if two families are traveling together because there is ample space and separation in this property.
We highly recommend this unit! Excellent experience.

Absolutely wonderful house, had everything we needed and was so accessable to the beaches and nearby attractions. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook, and manager was so accommodating to provide a second pac n play for our kiddos. Will definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful property for our family of 11. We came to Maui for our daughter's wedding! It was a perfect location. Close to the beach, shopping and the wedding venue. The pool was wonderful and our grandchildren absolutely loved it. Overall it exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice home located on a golf course, overlooking the Kaanapali Beach area. The location was excellent to access the highway and even to walk to the beach or Whaler's Village. Lahaina Town was just minutes away.
We had a few minor issues: the very hot bedroom on the upper level, the inability to access the lower level from the main floor, and a shower in the lower level that took brute strength to operate.
We have stayed at 20-30 VRBOs over the years and no property is perfect, so this unit still merits 5 stars.
Our group of 6 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor areas, and the kids loved the pool. The 50 foot lanai was awesome in the mornings and evenings. Bedrooms were quiet and comfortable, and we were very impressed with the well stocked kitchen.
We had a few questions and the management company was very quick to respond.
Overall, this is an ideal rental for large groups, or in our case, a 3 generation family of 11, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.

This home is beautiful, spacious, has everything you need. The heated pool is a plus! My son cried when we had to leave, he loved the house so much. It's in a great location, close to everything. We had a great time in Maui mostly because the house is perfect! The pictures don’t do it justice. Maui realty accommodated us by providing a play pen for my son and they made sure we had the essentials for the home such as detergent, dish washer pods and trash bags. It’s the little things!
