My entire family stayed at this getaway and it was lovely. Beautiful property, close to lots of lakes and hikes. Great for families with all ages of kids. Our kids loved playing ping pong and playing videos games in the theater room! The spa was sparkling clean! The kitchen has all that you need to cook with and lots of great deck space.Owner was very easy to communicate with! We will definitely be staying here again!

We had an awesome stay at this house in South Lake Tahoe! It was super clean and comfy for our group of 15 and our dog. The place had everything we needed to have a great time.
We loved the pool table, ping pong, and hot tub — there was always something fun to do. The fire pit was perfect for cool evenings, and the BBQ grill was great.
The kitchen was fantastic, with a waffle maker and three coffee options, which was a huge plus. It was fully stocked with everything we needed.
Overall, it was a perfect spot for our group, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in Tahoe. We can't wait to come back!

Bill's home was perfect for our large family! We enjoyed playing pool, ping pong, the in-home theater and lots of space to just spend time together. This house had amazing access to several hiking trails, leading to streams and a lake, perfect her swimming. Thank you!

The house is not well kept, it was dirty, there were many safety issues especially for children: exposed wires, faulty wiring causing power surge to fry electronic devices, wobbly steps up to the house, maggots in the house, giant ant infestation, a garage full of dangerous boards with nails sticking out, many outlets didn’t work, not enough towels, the host did not respond to texts concerning power outages and towels, renovations inside were definitely up to code. The kitchen was okay, the couch was comfy, the theater was nice but it was so hot and stuffy, lots of room in the family area. The air conditioner didn’t work possibly because the air filter was clogged and filthy, the vacuum didn’t work because the charger for it was wet. The manager did show up after not responding for 24 hours to bring towels. Overall my worst vacation rental experience by far, first time using Vrbo.

We had a very pleasant stay at Bill’s home. The house was older but it was clean and very spacious. There were plenty of board games and activities to keep our children occupied. We loved the kitchen- it was well stocked from eating utensil's, pots/pans, etc. I would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again if we are ever in the area.

I had such an amazing stay here at Bill's property. He has all the things that we need, from amazing views, spacious and cozy rooms, a full kitchen, a theater room, gym, pool, and ping pong table to the warm, hot jacuzzi. Everything seemed intentional and well thought out for guests to enjoy. Everything was utilized during my stay, and I wished that we could have stayed longer! The trip ended way too early! It was a wonderful getaway from reality. Bill's property is also in a good location where the grocery store is around the corner, which made things so much easier when tending to a big crowd! Bill's communication is amazing and very responsive if there is anything wrong. I will recommend it and will book again with Bill.

Close to Angora Lakes and a couple golf courses, felt secluded enough from other homes to give it a mountain home experience. Everything worked great at the house and the communication was more than enough. Would stay again

The accommodations were perfect for our family and the location was great. Close to the river and to Pope Beach. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and pots & pans. It would be helpful to know the oven is a convection oven & having instructions available would be really helpful. The home was very clean but does need some repair. We utilized all the outdoor facilities as well and would definitely come back again.

The house served our purpose nicely. There was a little damage from the recent, record snow which had not been fixed but the whole Tahoe area had issues so this house was in keeping with the area.
We would stay here again.

I brought a group of eight adults here for four nights in March 2023 for a ski trip. This property was adequate for us, and the space provided the basics. We liked the ease of communication with the host, convenient location, the ease of entry and exit, large common areas with plenty of seating, the well-equipped kitchen, good wi-fi, the large TVs and theater room, the hot tub, and the pool table. The snow clearing—no doubt a difficult task during this record winter—was also adequate, and we were able to get both of our cars into the driveway and garage. However, it’s clear that maintenance is an afterthought. The house is showing its age, with several easily fixed problems: the oven did not work (though the broiler did); the dishwasher was improperly mounted into the counter and had a broken lower rack (loading and unloading was a constant struggle); the clothes washer’s drum often went off track (manually remounting was possible); the clothes dryer took twice as long to dry clothes than normal and showed a warning light indicating a blocked vent (a fire hazard); the gas fireplaces in the bedrooms were inoperable; and a fine veneer of dust was visible throughout the house. The one zone for heating in the main areas, spanning three floors and four bedrooms, meant that the lower level was too cool while the upper level was too warm. Other more minor issues built upon the overall lack of care. We also found it odd that in lieu of written instructions for checking in and out, how to work the wi-fi and TVs, etc., that a friend of the host met us on our arrival to show us around and give verbal instructions. The general lack of attention to maintenance (major and minor) and cleaning did not work for my group. Blocking off a week for a thorough inspection, followed by visits from a handyman and appliance repair person, and stepping up the routine cleaning would make a huge difference for minimal effort. This property would be great for a summer getaway for families with kids, likely its bread and butter, but it was not quite up to our expectations.

Amazing! The house is very well kept with lots of room for families. We went there for the snow and needless to say it did not disappoint. The movie lounge and yard was perfect for the kids. The host was very accommodating, communicative, and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Got a super friendly tour of cabin at check-in which helped us settle in. We were here with a few families with young kids, ranging from age3 to 6. They had a blast exploring in the snowy side-yard and spacious interior. Hot Tub worked perfectly and kept at warm temp. Views out windows is of forest (not other cabins) making it feel like a full mountain retreat!

Great and easy communication, plenty of space to separate when needed, and the games/amenities provided great entertainment. Driveway was plowed, enough space for 4 vehicles to park.

This house is very large and can accommodate many people. We were a large group of adult men and loved the tv room and other entertainment options at the house. The house had everything we needed. I am a bed snob and all of these beds were very comfortable. Check in process could be more streamlined but definitely not a reason to avoid the rental. Rental is about 15-20 mins from downtown/casinos so if you want to be close to that, this is a stretch but there are grocery options fairly close by. Great extended weekend here and would stay here again.

We stayed here for four days during a road trip style vacation. The kids loved having their own private apartment/style room downstairs. Definitely spacious and perfect for a huge group!

My family was excited for South Lake Tahoe this August. The house itself was underwhelming but amenities of billiards table, ping pong, gym, trampoline, play house, fire pit, bbq and hot tub were great!! Checkin and communication were excellent! The main downside of the house was the heat. The weather was 77°-84° but even with windows open and fans going (particularly upstairs) it was over 96° after 10pm in the upstairs rooms (including the kids bunk room) and wasn’t cooling down making it hard to sleep for some. The basement was kept cool, but the main floor areas were hot making it so our group broke off instead of spending time all together in one space. In the future we’ll definitely look for a place with AC during summer trips. I imagine this would be a great place during the winter months!

House is perfect for the vacation. Hosts are very prompt and nice. Close to the lake and quiet and peaceful neighborhood

Check in/out process was easy and was communicated properly. The house was a bit older and some areas needed some attention but was comfortable enough to enjoy our stay. Location was a bit far off from main attractions but that's exactly what we wanted.
Plenty of parking available in the back as well as lawn area.

Ulmeca Cabin Stay early July 2022
Excellent cabin to have a small family reunion for all ages! My only suggestion for improvement is to provide a handicap access ramp for stairs challenged folks.

Excellent for family and all ages.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all aspects of the house. We had 4 teenagers/young adults, 3 toddlers and 11 adults. There were plenty of sleeping spaces, room for privacy and entertainment possibilities for all. We’d all like to go back again for another family reunion.

Plenty of personal space
This property was close to everything we wanted and yet very secluded and quiet. Check-in was very friendly and personalized. Kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of cookware, serving dishes, and dinnerware. Temperatures changed every day we were here so we could experience both a little snow and a nice sunny day. House temperatures were easy to regulate and our family felt quite comfortable during this stay. Lots of thoughtfulness by the owner to make the experience pleasant.

A vacation to remember
Traveled with friends and family, ranging from ages 2y/o-adult. We all felt comfortable and enjoyed the amenities offered in the home. Bill, the property manager/owner, was a pleasure, and was readily available whenever we reached out, prior to, and during our stay. Views and location were perfect, just a quick drive to Lake Tahoe and all the action (casinos/shopping).

Lots of Potential, but needs updating
The owner was very nice and responsive, but the house is just not VRBO ready. We had issues with the disposal and dishwasher, which they did come and fix the same day. The fireplace/heater in the basement didn't work, and the theater room TV didn't have a remote to control it. There was dangerous ice on the outdoor steps and driveway. There are also numerous uncovered outlets which would be dangerous for children. The majority of plugs in one room didn't work, and multiple extension cords were strung to provide power around the room. There were no hairdryers, so make sure to bring one if you need it. The house is also in need of a deep clean and some tidying up. Lots of junk in the garage and drawers throughout the house. The photos of the gym were misleading. The two cable weight systems were broken, and the rowing machine was not there.
On positive notes, there is lots of space. The wifi worked great and there are two great, big TVs (you just need the ability to HDMI stream from a device for the one without a remote). The hot tub was nice and warm. Kitchen was well stocked, and the blankets and bedding were nice. Washer and dryer worked great.
The owner was a little too hands on for the check in / check out process. Contactless check in with written instructions would suffice.

Snowy New Year’s Week Stay
This is a large, older, rambling house in a nice area. Very pleasant and helpful owner and staff. Our 12 were well-accommodated. It is spacious with several unusual additions. There are many recreation features and multiple TVs and viewing options.
Heating control is fair. Turnover cleaning was good but main floor carpeting is very soiled and old. Kitchen cabinets and draperies need replacing or thorough repair and cleaning. Main floor refrigerator didn’t work. Spa was very nice.

Family Holiday
THe house is perfect for celebrations and family time. We had 6 adult kids as well as a 2 yr old and a small dog and us. THe house is set up extremely perfect with room for all of us to be active and yet have space. The pool table and ping-pong tables were used and competitions were held!! We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with all cooking and just had a ball! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and room for all to work.
The backyard is perfect with the firepit and lounge chairs. Our granddaughter enjoyed the trampoline as well as the swing set and playhouse. The short walk to the Truckee river Is an added plus as we went a couple times. Bill and his team are fantastic and he was super helpful and came over to show us a few things. It is a 10+
