I had no idea a place on the water so quiet existed so close to major cities on the East Coast. It was perfect and the house itself was as amazing as the photos

Our first time to the area and we all had a good stay with my 4 kids (27, 17, 8, 8) and daughter-in-law. The younger kids loved the easy beach access, the abundance of provided beach toys, and the cool bunk beds. The adults appreciated the view from the rear facing bedrooms, beach chairs, and the many bikes to choose from. The only real downside were the horseflies and jellyfish which on a muggy, calm day were overwhelming. On arrival in the afternoon we went pretty much straight out to the beach with my twin 8 year olds. Within 15 minutes in the water my son was stung on the wrist by a floating jellyfish. The small jellies washed up on shore should have been a clue. My son didn't want to leave the beach and he pushed through some intense pain and tears. We all stayed out of the water from that point and began to dig in the sand. Within minutes we had all endured horse fly bites and spent a lot of our energy trying to slap them away. We gave up in about another 15 minutes and multiple bites. I had 7 welts and my kids had 5 painful bites between them. That experience almost had us give up in Broadkill beach altogether and we drove to either Rehoboth or Lewes for most days. We did try again on a cloudy windy day and had a much better experience on the beach in our backyard. We never saw another jelly so maybe it was a fluke. I relate this story because I think the level of "ruin the day" capability the biting flies have on this beach is downplayed some.

The house is almost as beautiful as the views. The amount of room was perfect for our group. There were stinging jellyfish in the water which was kind of a downer. My daughter was stung multiple times but the beach was awesome and peaceful. We brought two small dogs with us and it was perfect for them as well. The only inconveniences were the wifi constantly cutting out and the house key situation

Our stay was terrific and the house was great. I just have a few repairs suggestions — most of the bikes are in need of repair, the oar to the paddle board was broke and the shades in the kitchen and living room were not working. Other than the suggestions, it was awesome. John and Deanna Voss

Beautiful home with amazing views of the bay especially from two of the bedrooms. The high ceilings made the house feel spacious. Broadkill Beach is always so relaxing. Many of the beach accesses were washed out but the beach access from this house was intact. We were able to walk several miles at a time and only see a few people. We truly enjoyed our stay here.

The house was beautiful. It had everything we needed to have a great stay. We saw dolphins and a lot of wild life. Ships and barges were in the distance the entire week. We went to Dog fish head brewery which was quite impressive. We went in April, our dog was able to come he could be on the beach with us, and that contributed to making the stay great. The bay makes for less rough water, however the water was very murky. Great place!
