About this house rental
Spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on Thunderbird Lake, Cape Coral, Florida. Sleeps 8 people comfortably. Only damage from Hurricane Ian was the loss of 2 trees and the pool enclosure, which all was completely restored. No damage to house, boat, pool, etc. Everything still works great, including electricity, water, WIFI, etc.
COMPLETELY RENOVATED FOR 2020 SEASON!! New for 2020 is a 3rd bathroom, with all 3 bathrooms completely renovated. We are new owners, having purchased this home in April 2019, and completed extensive renovations for the 2020 season. See the 5 star reviews under our ownership. Our home features a beautiful infinity pool which cascades in to a salt water lake. Your rental will include the use of a 21 foot hurricane power boat with 115HP outboard motor for fantastic adventures in the lake, canals, Caloosahatchee River which leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Look for the playful dolphins chasing your wake, shy manatees, and unique Florida bird species as you enjoy the many canals and waterways. The required boat fee is stated as an extra under property fees. Full boat orientation will be provided. Boat rental in the area is around $1200, which makes the use of the boat a great value!
Cape Escape includes a large 65 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room and another 55 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable in the game room. Each of the 4 bedrooms includes a 43 inch flat screen smart TV with cable. One of the TVs includes a wireless cable box that we can be moved to the outside shelf on the lanai to view from the patio or pool. Wireless broadband internet access is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with the usual kitchen appliances, dishwasher microwave, coffee pot, and Keurig. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee while you watch the sun rise over Thunderbird Lake. Ceiling fans and central air-conditioning throughout offer a comfortable reprieve from the sun. The master suite features a huge en-suite bathroom with a huge walk in shower, double sinks, separate toilet room, and a built-in closet. Sliding doors to the lanai provide a beautiful view of the pool and lake and offer easy access to the pool for a morning swim. High chair, linens, and bath/pool towels are provided.
Our game room features an 8 foot slate pool table, along with a ping pong topper. Imagine enjoying a friendly game while overlooking the infinity pool and lake! If pool or ping pong is not your game we have a Wii console to test your skills in the video game variety. Newest addition to the game room is a 60-in-1 multicade arcade machine that plays all of your favorite arcade classics from the 80s, including Ms Pacman, Galaga, and Donkey Kong.
If the powerboat is not your speed, we also have added 4 stand up paddleboards for your use. The lakefront location is the most ideal place in Cape Coral for paddleboarding.

When entering this home, we immediately felt at home. Communication with the host was great, and Jim was quick to reply. Our adult children joined us for the week and they were never bored, from Wii (brought all the nostalgia feels for my family as they grew up with it), ping pong, pool table, arcade, outdoor space with the pool and dock area. Captain Brian was great in teaching us how to use the boat and accessing the channels. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and the amenities it had to offer and hope to visit again! It was a great vacation for our family, thank you.

We had a great stay in Cape Coral! This was our second time at the property. Unfortunately, we had boat issues this trip that hindered us being able to use the boat to its fullest, but we had a good time nonetheless. Jim is excellent to work with!

We had an amazing stay at this home over Memorial Day Weekend. The home was just as advertised and was more than enough room for the 6 of us. Check in/out was seamless and communication with the owner was quick and easy. The pool was perfect with plenty of outdoor space. We also had a few great days on the boat which was a huge bonus. time with my family is the thing I cherish the most. my daughter chose a place that was warm, had a boat and had a pool. we ate outside, swam from morning til night. we did two long days on the boat and saw dolphins and manatees as well as many birds.

Just an overall wonderful home! Loved watching the fish jump in the evening and was able to enjoy the pool everyday. The house is quite spacious! Very nice layout and lots of windows overlooking the pool and water, which was so relaxing. The neighborhood is also very quiet, which was ideal for us. Would definitely love to stay again some time!

My husband, myself and our 3 kids (17,19,22) stayed here on a much needed getaway. The house literally had everything we needed. The infinity pool facing the lake was fabulous! The morning and evening views of the lake were breathtaking. We did a fishing trip and a SUP trip which were only 25 minutes from the house. We loved that there was lots of restaurant, nature walks and beaches in close proximity of the house. The only thing that i didnt like was the bites from the no seeum bugs and the ants. But it is a tropical climate. We would definitely stay again. Oh, and the owner Jim was absolutely wonderful to email with!! We did take a drive to Sanibel island and Ft Meyers. The devastation from hurricane Ian was heart wrenching to see. It humbles you to see the raw power wind and rain have.

PERFECT house for our annual family vacation. Walking in from the front door to a view of the infinity pool looking directly out onto Thunderbird Lake is stunning! The house is open but still private in the right places. The property is well maintained and very clean. Having garage access was a great convenience! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, with a few homes awaiting minor repairs from ‘Ian’ damage - mainly roofing. Being there in early August, it felt as though we had the lake all to ourselves! Captain Kelly provided our boating instructions and he was informative, thorough, and easy to talk to — he clearly loves his job! We took the boat out through the canals to open water several times during our stay, and that was an awesome bonus! It was incredibly hot, with record-breaking temperatures, but the pool was the perfect remedy!! The pool was very clean and bug-free - thanks to a couple adorable little gecko regulars hanging out on the outer screen! When we weren’t in the pool, we were inside playing “single-paddle-double” ping pong (a must-try!). We found some excellent places to eat including Masala Mantra, Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on Sanibel Island, and Rincon Cubana (doordashed). We went to Bowmans Beach on Sanibel Island and also visited Camelot Park where we saw several Burrowing Owls nests. We spent our last night taking a Sunset Dolphin Tour out of Ft. Myers. Best vacation house so far - highly recommend!!

We just returned from a week this property in beautiful Cape Coral. The house was just like it looked like online and had everything we needed for a week with family and friends. It was a great location and close to beaches and restaurants in town. We were able to go out on the boat almost every day which was the best part of our vacation. The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions or issues that we had, and we would definitely love to return and stay here again. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this area.

My husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter at the end of May. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The home is absolutely beautiful! Everything we could have imagined was furnished. Our daughter enjoyed fishing off the dock. We also enjoyed the use of the boat (Captain Kelly was an awesome guide) and paddle boards. We were there over Memorial weekend and the lake wasn't crowded/busy at all. It was very peaceful hanging out by the pool. It rained a couple of evenings so we took advantage of the pool table, ping pong table, arcade machine, and Wii. Jim was an excellent host! He contacted me a couple of days before our stay to answer any questions we may have had and he responded right away if I had a question while we were there. I can't recommend this place enough. We would definitely stay here again!!

This property has so many amenities- pool toys, games, puzzles, pool table, ping pong, high chair, stroller, pack and play, boat, paddle boards, etc. The owner always was available if we had any questions. We were fortunate to have the new lanai build right before we arrived. We spend a lot of time in it and the bugs didn’t bother us. It’s a nice home, don’t hesitate to book this place. Thank you

If you already have this house rented and are a little concerned because of the hurricane….don’t be!! All restaurants were open…we ate at Duffys, Pinchers, Monkey Bar Steak and Seafood and Lady Lobster. They were all great!! Yes, we couldn’t go to Fort Myers Beach or Sanibel but honestly we didn’t need too! This property is amazing! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is your place! We spent our days in the pool or boating in the canals looking for Dolphins….in the evening we played pool, ping pong, wii bowling and the arcade games….something for everyone!! Jim was easy to work with and a great person! We actually met him….he was there working hard to have the place ready for us after the hurricane. By far one of our favorite stays in Cape Coral. The boat was great as was the pool, the pool table and arcade games. My teenage boys had tons of fun! Plenty of pool floats/toys and beach supplies. Great rental and owner. Hope to stay again soon!

This home has everything a family or group could want. The formal dining room has been repurposed to a lovely game room that kept us and our teens entertained for hours. The pool area was beautiful and the dock area was lovely as well for sitting and enjoying the breeze. The kitchen was surprisingly well outfitted and cooks will be pleased. Comfortable beds and pillows and very nicely remodeled and spacious bathrooms. There were plenty of beach towels and chairs, beach toys, coolers and other supplies. We learned to paddle board on the lake which was a lot of fun. We highly recommend this home!

We have nothing but good things to say about our experience here! This house had everything you needed and the property manager and owner were amazing to work with. Something for everyone!
What a fun, relaxing time for the whole family! I love the layout of the home because everyone had their own separate area. Lots to do - in addition to the beautiful pool and boat rides- there was a pool/ping pong table, pac man machine with lots of games, paddle boards,etc. The owner obviously has put a lot of thought into providing everything to make the visit as fun and comfortable as possible. We'll be back!

House was very clean and we maintained, pool and view of lake was great, beds were comfortable, plenty of items provided for our stay to be smooth and easy! Beach chairs and umbrella, coolers, beach towels, etc. We only used the boat to go down the canal but it was a nice ride! We came with just my 3 children but the house is large enough to share with another family for sure. Kids loved it! Would definitely return!

It’s very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The Owner was very quick to respond and called a day after our arrival to see how we were getting along & to ask if we had any questions which was great and appreciated.

We had a great time! The pool was relaxing and the outside seating was comfortable to sit in and look out over the lake. The pool table/ping pong and arcade kept the adults busy in the evenings too. We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home for the past week. We have 4 kids ranging from 16-10 years old and they were never bored. The pool was fantastic and the home comes with everything equipped for a day at the pool! Me and my daughter learned to paddle board! It was so much fun! May have to purchase a few of them!! We became quite fond of the game ping pong and had tournaments nearly every night! My husband and boy spent many days fishing off the dock. Lots of fish to see! The boat was perfect for taking strolls through the channels on our off days! The outside area was perfect for BBQ and family gatherings after our busy days sightseeing! This house truly is a piece of paradise. Equipped with everything you need and more!! Jim (the owner) was fantastic to work with. Captain Kelley it was such a pleasure to meet him and learn about all the wonderful things has done, bonus... He's a packer fan! He had our hearts there 😉 If you are thinking of using this as your next vacation getaway don't hesitate. Book it before it's to late! We hope to be back!!
