Sis's Cottage has it all!!! We are Downtown! Approx 500 feet to Franklin Square Park and Dry Street Pizza. Quiet Middle Street, Light traffic.

Sis's cottage is a charming, newly remodeled 3 bedroom 2 full baths in the historical district of beautiful Southport NC. The house has an open floor plan with living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities needed to dine in if you choose. The cottage is located one block from the main downtown area within walking distance of restaurants, shops and inter coastal waterways. Lots of parking. Can accommodate up to 6 cars or 4 cars and fishing boat and trailer. You can sit on the front porch and listen to bands on Thursday night when playing in Franklin Square Park. The cottage will accommodate 5 people. Master queen bedroom downstairs with full bath. Upstairs
has queen bed and also a twin bed with trundle with full bath. Includes a fully equipped kitchen with double
door refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, disposal and washer and dryer and Keurig coffee maker. House is beautifully decorated.
Utilities, cable and wifi included. Linens provided.
If this is your first trip to Historic Southport, you are in for such a treat. If you are returning, we all know why. This is the place to take you back in time in so many ways, small hometown feel, residents here are unbelievable friendly, the scenery is gorgeous, beautiful oak trees, many quaint shops, lots of good food and so many historic sites to see. You are couple blocks away from the Cape Fear River, Provisions and Fishy Fishy Restaurants and more. Southport Marina is just a few blocks away if it is boating you like. And then there are the Ferrys that will take you to Bald Head Island, Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher. If it is the beach you are looking for, we have that too, Oak Island is just 10 minutes away. This is the place you want to be and the place you will want to come back to.
Pets allowed upon approval. Pet Fee is $150.00 Maximum 2 pets under 50 lbs allowed. Fenced in backyard. No Smoking allowed.

We enjoy a yearly visit to Southport and this location was great! Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do and eat and eat and eat! Super clean and Gail was very easy to work with when we had any questions - you know, the really important one like…what kind of coffee maker is there???!!!

The house was perfect! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs!! Everything that you might need was in the house! The owners are very friendly and quick to assist you! We had a problem with the tv and it was resolved very quickly despite us being there during hurricane Debby! Can’t wait to stay again!

The stay was beautiful! The house was beautiful, and everything was perfect. We brought our dog, and he enjoyed the outside fenced in area. We were within walking distance of everything Southport. We cannot wait to return!

Could not have picked a better place. You only need to bring clothes and food. Everything (and I mean everything) is there. Have never stayed in a more equipped home...kitchen utensils and tools, towels hair dryer, iron and board, rocking chairs...The only thing we couldn't find was a meat tenderizer tool lol. Super clean, easy to find wonderfully priced and Gail is wonderful in communicating! We will definitely be back hopefully before end of year!

We loved being able to walk to the waterfront and past all the historic houses. We walked to dinner and shops- we will absolutely be back! Everything was cute and clean :)

My wife and I needed a place to stay while dealing with a very ill family member whom lives in the area. The home was so nice, comfortable and extremely well appointed and supplied. Its right in town but tucked away in a beautiful area next to the park. It could not have been nicer. Highly recommend this place. And the host was stellar.

We stayed almost a month & appreciate all of the amenities, walking distance to shops, restaurants, waterfront, churches, etc. Beautiful quiet area. Gail is the BEST! She communicates readily and makes sure guests are provided with a great house to stay in. Decor reflects Carolina beaches wonderfully.

Perfect location if you enjoy being close to waterfront and shops. Southport is such a beautiful historic place. We had such an enjoyable stay and being able to bring our dog along was very important to us. The house was very clean and neat with a fenced yard!! This house has had a major renovation and it is first class all the way. The decorating is beautiful with many lovely coastal pieces that make you feel you are at the beach. The kitchen is probably the best stocked VRBO with a food processor, Kitchen Aid mixer, good knives, etc, etc!! It was an easy walk to the water and we enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets within a 10 minute walk. We brought our dog who also enjoyed the property. It was a quiet neighborhood. We highly recommend this home.

My husband and I have been coming to Southport for as many years. I have been coming to Oak Island since childhood.
I remember it still as Long Beach. We never stayed in Southport till this trip.
We fell in love with this quaint river side town.
The cottage was so well appointed and decorated with lots of nautical beachy theme throughout . The kitchen was nicely stocked with anything you need.
We only uesd the master bedroom since just 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable.
The fenced backyard was extra nice for us since we brought our fur baby.
She loved having the freedom to roam around without leash.
It was nice having washer and dryer to wash your personal items if needed. The
Front porch was
so nice to have coffee and rock in rocking chairs.
The surrounding oak trees are just magnificent. As the day passes each tree gives a different appearance depending on how sun hits it. They are even pretty in the foggy early mornings.
The cottage is very close to downtown and parks.
I took early morning walks with my dog down to water front park .
There are many restaurants within walking distance of cottage also.
We had a great time the week we stayed here in August. We would drive over to Oak Island on the days we wanted to take dog out on beach. The drive to closet beach (Caswell Beach) is only about 10 minutes.
Now that I'm older we don't spend as much time in the sun. So we enjoyed all the shade trees surrounding Southport.
We hope to return to this cottage again soon !

The house was amazing! Has everything you need. Walking distance to everything. We brought a scooter and it made it fun to get around! If we ever decide to visit Southport again, sis’s cottage is where will stay!

Another perfect year in this perfect place. Our happy place. We loved the updated swing bench on the front porch. We rented a golf cart and had the best time exploring SP and oak island. There are a couple new restaurants that were top notch, go to Southern for a special date night under the oaks. You can walk there :) Thank you so much, Gail, for sharing this perfect place with our family. See ya in 2024!

Had a wonderful time at Sis's Cottage. We typically have little need for communication with hosts, but with complexities on our end, we reached out to Gail several times. She was extremely responsive and helpful! The house itself was set up perfectly for a lovely stay with my parents, partner and pooches. We were able to walk/scooter everywhere, with dining and shopping so close by. Looking forward to our next visit!

Our cottage was immaculate! Beds are very comfortable; kitchen is well equipped for our ‘at home’ meals. It is conveniently located in walking distance of restaurants & shopping & only a short jaunt to the beach. Great trip!
