About this villa rental
CIN: IT010015C2RJMAE6GC
Casa Bianca is part of a wine and olive oil estate which has been lovingly restored and refurbished by its owners. Casa Bianca now offers 4 double bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large sitting room with a log fire (olive logs provided) making 180 square meters and sleeping max 9 people. Casa Bianca's cool and light internal space is set in gentle Olive Groves with our vineyards below the house, and vegetable gardens and fruit trees all around, with jasmine, mimosa, roses and masses of wild flowers all in their season.
Off the fully modernized kitchen is a terrace for al fresco dining and in front of the house a vine/wiseria-covered shady pergola with dining table where you can admire this tranquil old olive grove and the pine and chestnut woods (we will give you FREE some of our wine and oil) to help you unwind after a long day at the beach or walking the Cinque Terre or shopping in Chiavari Market for antiques or the superb local specialty food shops.
Also near is Santa Margherita, a very smart resort with famous fish market and yacht marina, Rapallo a quaint old seaside town, and Zoagli where the sea laps the traffic-free town square. Sestri Levante is 5 kms the other way, an elegant old village on the sea with the romantic sandy Bay of Silence one side and the long promenade on the Bay of Tigullio on the other. Or stay in Chiavari and walk along the promenade with its gardens and fountains and safe and clean gravel and rock beaches where the sea swimming is easy, clean and safe. or admire the marina, sit in a seaside bar and watch the sun set behind Portofino mountain.
Genoa is 40 kms west where you can explore the world famous Aquarium, the ancient noble palaces and art galleries, visit the theatre and shops. Florence and Pisa and Lucca are a few hours away by car and can be explored in a day trip from Chiavari. There is so much to do and see that a week here is not enough but you can do what many of our guests do - come back again!

Casa Bianca is a lovely renovated Italian farmhouse. It is absolutely beautiful and exactly as depicted in the VRBO photos. :) A peaceful, beautiful location in the hills outside Chiavari. We enjoyed family time in the evening on the scenic outdoor patio. The proximity to town, Cinque Terre, and Rapallo/Portofino is wonderful. We visited beautiful Buranco Vineyard in Cinque Terre (only an hour drive away) and took a boat to/from Portofino from Rapallo (short drive).
The entrance and drive into the property was challenging due to the steepness of the driveway, and more difficult if arriving in the evening.
Our host was very responsive and helpful. Our daughter's flight was delayed by a number of hours and she didn't arrive until after midnight. Jennifer was very accommodating.
Once suggestion would be to indicate the supplies that are provided so that one can visit the market before arriving.
The perfect home if you prefer peace and quiet in a beautiful location. The perfect place to make special memories. We loved it and would visit again!! :)

As a group of two families (5 kids) we found the perfect place for our stay in Liguria. Nicely situated within olive trees we enjoyed the evenings outside after spending the days at the beach. House owner Jessica was available all the time and helped us with every question we had. All in all, we can highly recommend a stay in casa Bianca.

I would go back there every time I had a chance to go to Italy. It's highly recommended. It's a beautiful city and the Jennifer's place was gorgeous. So much fun just relaxing on the property. We miss it already.

Had a great time with family and friends, plenty of space in and around the house and lots to discover in and around Chiavari!

Very quiet and beautiful property. Although secluded, easy to walk to town and parking accessible at train station.

A well appointed, charming, bright, airy and spacious 2-story home situated in the lush hillside above the charming town of Chiavari. The walk down (10' to 12') and back up (15' to 17') from Chiavari is steep but doable even for those not so young anymore with cranky knees, if taken easy.
Jennifer, the owner, is gracious and responsive if needed but otherwise unobtrusive.
Perfectly situated along the magnificent Ligurian coast within an easy, max one hour train or car ride to some of the most spectacular places, from Genova to Porto Venere (stay way from the hordes of tourists in Cinque Terra and focus on nearby Santa Margarita, Rapallo, Camogli, Portofino, San Rocco, Zoagli, etc).

The house is huge and perfect for us four couples, with lots of space to move around. It's located in a beautiful olive grove just above Chiavari, an easy downhill walk from town. The only downside is that there's no sea view, but you can reach the beach in just a few minutes by car. Thanks again!

Authentisches Chiavari
Also Workout inklusive! Turnschuhe nicht vergessen!-))

Magnifique villa

Lovely
I had such a lovely time in Casa Bianca with my family this summer: Jennifer is a super host and she deserves more and more guests. If you need a break from the city, this accomodation is perfect and it's just 10 min walk from the centre of the town. Thanks again Jennifer, for the kindness and for the wine and oil!

Sehr schönes idyllisches Haus
Sehr schönes idyllisches Haus. Steht mitten im Olivenwald. Trotzdem nah an Stadtzentrum.

Nice and cozy country House
The House and surroundings are beautiful and Well kept in a very charming style. We loved to have breakfast on the terrasse that overlooked the olive grove. We felt close to the Charming Chiavari and close to the Hills and Beach at the same time. The host is a kind and Sweet person who invited us for a drink under her 120 year Old avocado tree.

Perfekte Naturidylle - pure nature and peace
Dear Jennifer and Mauro,
as we mentioned to you in between, we really enjoyed our stay in your house very, very much! The house was just perfect and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet and the feeling of pure nature! We didn't even feel like going to the beach or exploring the neighbourhood much as it was so nice in the garden. Our boys enjoyed the grounds even more than the rest of us. It was very hard to leave, but we have very nice memories.
We also thank you for your hospitality. You were very kind and helpful with all the information you gave us at our arrival.
Overall highly recommendable!!!!

A Lovely Oasis. . .
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Casa Bianca. It is the ideal setting. . .in a peaceful area where you can enjoy the birds and church bells, but a mere 15 minute walk to the lovely town of Chiavari, and five minutes more to the train station where you can go anywhere you'd like. My favorite was the outdoor patio. I enjoyed both my morning coffee and my afternoon wine out there. Amazing views.
Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms and two baths (one more bedroom and bath downstairs. . .a private suite!). Spacious and comfortable. There's a patio off two of the bedrooms (doors from the bedrooms open out to the upstairs patio). I often thought that if I was into yoga, this would be the perfect place for it! Large, private, peaceful, and excellent light in the morning. Really nice.
The downstairs is just lovely. I loved the openness and the wonderful windows. Lovely light. Comfortable. The town has a wonderful market, and I loved going down and buying whatever, then coming home and cooking something amazing. (I'm not the best cook, but in Italy, everything tastes better!) The restaurants in town are also great. And great shopping. I have to admit, Chiavari was nicer than I expected. Lovely little town. Friendly people.
Jennifer was out of town while I was here, but Mauro was welcoming and very helpful. I appreciated the introduction to the area and the warm hospitality. I will miss this lovely home and hope to return. Highly recommend.

This house is in a beautiful setting, close enough to town to walk but in a quiet rural setting.
The house is lovingly restored to have all the modern amenities. The rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. Our host could not have been more accommodating to any of our needs and providing us with olive oil and wine. He truly cares for his family's property.
We highly recommend this property. There is so much to do locally with easy access by car and train.

Wonderful place
We can highly recommend this spacious and newly renovated villa. Beautiful setting, three bathrooms, quiet. And lovely hosts. Perfect for three couples or a big family. Great spot for day trips in the area. We went on amazing hikes both south and north of Chiavari, plan to come back. Annelie & Mats, Stockholm, Sweden

Our party of six, two couples, a father and his 13 yo daughter, had a delightful and relaxing week at Casa Bianca. Unfortunately the week went too fast. The property was everything we could hope for except for the drive to it from the gate onwards so we just parked at the gate and walked along the well trodden and well lit path to the rental. The house is spacious and had most everything that we needed. Mauro and Jennifer were kind enough to provide us with wine and olive oil from the estate. Mauro was also kind enough to share the bounty of the property with us too and to provide help and advice whenever we needed it.
The rooms are large and fairly well lit with lots of windows. I was pleased with the bedside lamps that I don't always find in the rentals I have secured in my travels. The beds were a little hard but that is common in Italy. The linens were of nice quality. The washer and dryer, yes, I said dryer, worked perfectly. The showers/bathtubs provided a lovely amount of hot water with an adequate spray. We had some minor issues with the wifi but it mostly worked well.
Chiavari is a lovely village that I would love to return to time and time again. I love its proximity to popular tourist sites. I also like the shopping, restaurants, market, the train station and the lovely beaches. What I love most about Chiavari is how it is a real working town and is not over run with touristy sites. Be sure to purchase some gelato at Cremeria Spinola. Yum!
We love the property and this is the second time that we have rented from Mauro and Jennifer. The first time, two years ago, we rented Casa Bosco and we loved it too. I wouldn't hesitate to rent either of these properties again or to recommend them to my friends.

Our group of 6 have only positive things to say about the property and the rental experience. My only gripe is that the weather did not cooperate and was unseasonably cool and wet and that is obviously outside the control of the owners. The house itself is nicely renovated and has a light open ambiance and several outdoor sitting or dining areas for relaxing. What makes the experience remarkable is the beautiful (and large) olive grove and vineyard that the house sits in the middle of giving a real sense of privacy and security. As the whole property is fenced this proved an ideal setting for walking with our dog. There are also the extra amenities such as satellite TV, wireless internet for those who need to stay connected. The walk from the property down into Chiavari is relatively short (about 10 minutes) and pleasant. It is up hill going back, of course, but my parents who are well into their 70's did not have trouble with this. If you are looking for a nice quiet and relaxing place to get away that has convenient access to the Ligurian coast from the Cinque Terre to Portofino. This is a nice option.

From the moment you awake to the sounds of roosters crowing and birds chirping, until you finish your evening sitting in the yard, or by the fireplace you will love this villa. When we first arrived, greeted by the courteous and gracious host as we walked from the entry gate to the front door I felt as though I was arriving home after a long absense. We arrived at the villa by cab from the train station and I felt a bit daunted by the climb we would have from town if we chose to walk. But it was not as difficult as I imagined and was a charming and relaxing way to end our days of exploring the Ligurian coast. It was also a great way to walk off the exquisite focaccia bread that you really must enjoy every afternoon, as it comes out fresh in every bakery. A special treat on the walk back to the villa was to reach the castle tower as the church bells rang, and we could view the sun beginning to set in the sea.
The owners of the villa have really put a lot of effort into making this home as comfortable as possible. Arriving to find a basket of wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, all made by the property owners made us feel as though we were welcomed by family. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this property! I will never forget our stay at Casa Bianca.
