Rose Cottage is a beautiful country cottage in a quiet, secluded, gated 1.5 acre, wooded property - where serene, comfortable, neat and spacious are words that instantly come to mind.
The spacious rear deck is perfect for breakfast coffee in the morning and sun bathing in the afternoon. There is always a cool breeze blowing on the large, screened front porch. You can relax; watch the kids play from the rocking chairs and hammock by day, and watch the stars at night.

When we arrived and walked through with the owner on Monday it was very clean, I was impressed. But, on Wednesday night I noticed a dead bug on the floor, I tried to google image it because I feared it was a cockroach, but it was small and wouldn't show results. On Friday night, we were sitting in the living area and it was dim light. Under the tv console an adult cockroach scurried across the floor, which my husband promptly squashed. I took pictures of it as well as 2 medium cockroaches under the master bed dead and 5 other small cockroaches dead. I have pictures if you want to see them.
My kids were already asleep and we were checking out in the morning so we begrudgingly stayed. My husband called the owner after we checked out and asked if there was an issue before and to let him know there was a problem. He also asked if there was anything that could be done. The answer was no. He did say that the cleaners sprayed for cockroaches before we arrived. Why do you spray if you don't have a problem?
4 days after leaving I received a damage charge that there were 4 missing hand towels, a pillow and pillowcase. Along with 4 dirty washclothes that wouldn't come clean(I have kids at a beach, I'll accept that chance and will pay for them). However, the other items were not taken. And I actually threw my fav pillow/pillowcase I brought into their trash bin because I was so grossed out by the cockroaches. No refund. Beware!

Pawleys Island Wedding Trip
Rose Cottage was perfect for us. Spotless, both inside and out, with every accommodation necessary to enjoy a relaxing few days in the area. Close to everything we needed, including the Beach and Pawleys Creek. Would definitely recommend this home away from home to others staying in the area.

Pawley's Getaway
Owner was waiting for us when we arrived to give us the keys and a quick overview of the property. House was clean and comfortable. Property was large and private. Nice back yard. Really like the gated entry and perimeter fencing. One mile drive to beach. We were concerned about public parking at the beach, but it was no problem on a Wed and Thurs in early June. Property has an outdoor shower for washing off sand before going inside. Full size washer and dryer definitely came in handy. Large gas grill that we used to grill burgers one night. Owner's wife called during our stay to check on us. Very nice folks. Very nice place. Definitely recommend this location!

Great location, great stay
This house is located in a very private setting, considering there is a commercial property next door. The gated entrance and long driveway give a sense of security and privacy. The owner greeted us upon arrival to ensure we knew where everything was located, and actually phoned to check in on us during our stay - nice touch. The house was very clean - our favorite spot was on the rocking chairs on the screened in front porch.
Linens and towels were plentiful and dishes and utensils available. The yard is huge, and the back deck gave us another opportunity for outdoor dining. The house is just minutes off Ocean Highway..
I have to admit, the floors in the 2 guest bedrooms are a bit wonky, but I think that is due to the construction of the house. - not sure anything can be done about that.
In all a lovely stay with lovely hosts!!!

Rose Cottage
This property was by far one of the best places I have rented. It's a beautifully situated on a huge private lot filled with beautiful flowers and trees. The house was immaculate and very comfortably furnished. Beds were great and it was well equipped. The host was very responsive and helped us out with everything we needed. We had a great time would definitely recommend it to anyone

sweet green oasis
We loved Rose Cottage! Roomy, airy, beautifully decorated, spotless, lots of drawer / closet space, full kitchen, great hosts who go the distance to make sure all is well. The long driveway, tall surrounding trees, & gorgeous landscaping give a feeling of seclusion, even though all the stores & restaurants on Ocean Highway are very close, & the old town / beach of Pawley's Island is nearby. (I recommend visiting Huntington Beach, Brookgreen Gardens, & Georgetown SC too.) This would be a wonderful spot for a family--toys provided + big yard for kids to play in.

Sweet spot
My husband and two young sons spent a week here in July. It’s such a sweet little spot with the perfect amount of room for us. It’s very quiet and landscaped beautifully. I especially loved the gate and how far the house is set back from the road so I didn’t have to worry about the boys playing outside. We’d love to come back again!

A cozy cottege
My college roommate and I spent three days at the lovely Rose Cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Lee who provided us with information about the house and area. His wife checked in early in our stay to be sure we were comfortable and our needs all met. The cottage is nestled on a large wooded lot with inviting outdoor spaces to relax and eat. It is nicely appointed and has a well stocked with kitchen necessities.
We enjoyed our stay and would book this cottage again.

As out of town visitors, we were looking for a place to accommodate our family and proximity to the beach. As we entered the tranquil setting of Rose Cottage we were delighted! Our first time in Pawleys Island. We were extremely happy with the rental house & property. The screened porch was a favorite to unwind at night, and have coffee in the morning, quiet & peaceful. Cleanliness of house, all the things you need provided. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Rose Cottage was particularly enjoyable! Thank you for providing such a clean & beautiful setting for our family vacation. May I suggest that the cottage be provided with some mixing bowls and some robe hangers on the back of the bathroom doors. Otherwise, we had everything we needed. I hope that we will have another opportunity to visit the Pawleys Island area and stay at Rose Cottage. Thank you again!

Great location, exceptionally clean!
The owner was great to work with & was there to meet us upon arrival. Rose Cottage was close to everything yet seemed private & away from it all. The rental was well appointed and very clean. We enjoyed spending time at Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk and Georgetown. If we visit this area again I’d definitely plan to book with Lee.

Very clean, well maintained, remote feeling but close to everything.
The house and property are very well maintained and very clean, both indoors and out. The property is entirely fenced in and is located very close to just about everything you need, including the beach.
We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. We basically had four adults and were not cramped for space at all.
The owner was very accommodating and extremely helpful. We will stay here again.

Recharge our lives
Had a great 3 nights at the Rose Cottage. All our needs were attended to completely!! Lovely cottage, very clean, AC worked great (it was 90 degrees all 3 days). We visited Pauley's Island, Georgetown and Murrells Inlet. Had great restaurants recommended, especially Costa's in Murrells Inlet. Hopefully next year we can duplicate this trip. Thank you Lee sharing your beautiful cottage

Wonderful retreat!
My mother and I just spent a week in this beautiful home. Very quiet but close to any activities you might want to do. Lee met us and gave us the grand tour of this charmingly decorated home, along with restaurant suggestions for dinner. The Rose Cottage had everything we needed to relax and rejuvenate. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The hammock was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon reading. I definitely recommend the Rose Cottage for a visit to this area.

pleasantly surprised by how spotless and lovely this house is!
We booked this house for three nights extending a visit to Myrtle Beach with my husband and teenaged kids. SO thankful that we did! Upon walking in, the first thing our kids said was, "oh this is way nicer than it looked in pictures!". SO clean, absolutely spotless and like new. I appreciated that they had some necessities such as paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent since we were only staying three nights, it was helpful not to have to buy every little thing.The property is park like, unfortunately it rained every day so we did not get to enjoy the outside as much but would definitely like to next time! Lee was great and answered any and all questions within minutes!
