Everything was excellent. Beyond expectation. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was great in the TV and dining room. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and host at home. The beds were sooo comfy! Heating was fantastic with reverse cycle aircon in every room. Perfect for kids and the football table downstairs was of great entertainment for all. Photos online do not do the house justice, it was pristine and a true representation of the great town we stayed in.
Very happy
4.6
1. The property was very clean.
2. It was quite well equipped esp the kitchen.
3. It was furnished with a lot of Ikea furniture but charmingly set off with some original and possibly local pieces which gave it an original air.
4. The hosts/owners were very kind and tried to help us when we needed it. All their responses have been prompt.
5. There is table football on the ground floor to entertain the kids.
6. You get free parking tickets in the local carpark which is a 2 minute walk to the house, via the hosts but obvly can only use it If in the low season as Peratallada gets very full
7. The village and house are a 20-minute drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Costa Brava
8. And of course, Peratallada is so beautiful.
1. Its a very old stone house so the ground floor smells VERY heavily of damp but luckily, the ground floor is more a lobby than where you stay and the smell doesn’t go up.
2. The ad says there is “Free internet” but turns out they meant the village internet which is free for 2 hrs and erratic and slow as hell. Being a stone house, forget the internet/wifi signal, you barely get a telephone signal except in the dining room and sometimes the salon! I had to work for half a day during my holiday so you can imagine my consternation upon arrival when I asked for the wifi code and the owner said he didn’t have one! However the owner quickly got me a router on the day I was working. Must say I was miffed as “Free Wifi” are not words to be bandied easily and was one of my filters while searching for a holiday stay.
3. The best restaurant of the village is literally in front of the house. This means that on Friday and Saturday night, due to the noise from chatty diners, we disn’t get to sleep till atleast 2am! Then from about 8am, the street outside has delivery vans running noisily through so you can’t sleep in too. Double/triple glazing is a must on the bedroom windows facing the street
4. There are 2 wcs but only one with a shower which is a bummer if you rent the place for 6 people as we did. So be aware of this if you come in a group of more than 3
5. You definitely need a car to get there and to move around as the beaches are too far to walk.

We had a fantastic week staying at Casa Peratallada, using it as a base for exploring the nearby beaches and sights. The house is in the centre of Peratallada, a stunning medieval village with amazing restaurants. Our hosts were extremely friendly and flexible, and the house is even nicer and bigger than in the pictures. It was impeccably clean, and had everything we could need (air con in all the rooms, washing machine and dryer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc). There were two bedrooms with double beds, and one with two single beds, a dining room, a TV room, a foosball table room (!), and another hall/reception room - lots of space even for a big family. We look forward to going back!
The internet was quite slow at times
