Loved the updates and kept the character of the home with all the wood! Close to Riverwalk & concert venue we went to. Homeowner responded quickly when we asked for restaurant recommendations!

Amazing experience with this host, he was great with communication and very accommodating. This also was a very nice house highly recommend.

The house worked well for our group of 7. Neighborhood is a bit old and rundown but the inside of the house is fine and updated. A couple things—close to train tracks (or at least we could hear train whistles a lot during the night) and hall light is on sensor so every time some uses the bathroom at night the bedrooms basically light up. We appreciated the special touches—pods provided for Keurig for example.

A lovely spacious home ideal for our large family birthday gathering in one of our favorite cities, San Antonio.

What a jewel this is! It was close to every destination we wanted to go, The Pearl, the Alamo, The Towers, 45 minutes from New Braunsfels, Gruene, and the Caverns! Beds were comfy, the only negative was the motion light in the hallway lol but we played a game with that so it wasn't a real negative ( maybe set the timer longer) We felt safe and you can hear the train, reminded me of my childhood. This is the must stay!

I stayed here with my family, grandmother and husband for Father's Day Weekend. This house was very close to everything we wanted to do, The Pearl & The Riverwalk. The neighborhood is up & coming, so it's a little rough on the surface but we never felt unsafe. The neighbors do have a rooster and there is a train nearby however those noises were minimal and were not a bother to us. The kitchen is minimally stocked but was okay for us, as we were not planning on cooking at the home. The rooms were as advertised, although it does look like the photos used were also the photos from the home listing when it was for sale, there is now a lower, king size bed in the primary bedroom, there is another couch in the living room and there is no longer a porch swing.
Overall, this feels very much like a vacation rental. Everything was fine, clean enough but do not expect luxury. We felt safe and that the VRBO did exactly what we needed, which was a place with comfortable beds in San Antonio.

It wasn’t bad but not the best. Location to be downtown was great. Dirty kitchen utensils on arrival. Back gate was not easy to open and close. Being able to park the cars in the back yard was a plus. The main bathroom toilet lid had to be opened and flushed by hand every time. It was a pain in the butt for two 80yr veterans, one disabled middle aged man, and two children under five. There’s a weird odor in laundry room and kitchen. Not the most comfortable beds but the bunk bed mattress were more comfortable and they were great for the kids. I wouldn’t stay there again but it worked for the last 2 nights of our family vacation. We never felt worried/unsafe about the neighborhood. Might be perfect for a younger group of people but elderly/disabled not the best. The house was equipped with everything (towels, extra TP, paper towels, kitchen seasonings, one TV, electric piano, outdoor gas grill). I give it a 6.5/10. The trains, roosters, and main toilet was the bummers.

The host could not be nicer nor more accommodating. When I reached out early for the specific address so I could arrange for a wheelchair delivery for my elderly mom, he replied immediately. He was easy to contact and work with.
The house is lovely, spacious, and conveniently located for getting around San Antonio. Two blocks away you can find amazing breakfast tacos and pan dulce, but you could also make use of the kitchen which is decently equipped.
The neighborhood seems to be undergoing a renovation, so there’s lots of construction. But there’s still a sense of neighborliness even towards visitors who are passing through for a few days.
Our schedule kept us too busy to use the nice deck and backyard, but it would be fantastic to have a cookout back there with family and friends.
Next time I’m in San Antonio, I hope this house is available again.

This is a great place to stay! Immaculate with up to date furnishings! Plenty of room to relax! We would definitely stay again!

Such a great little house. This was a fantastic location if you want to be close to the downtown area and the riverwalk, but not on it. Our average Uber/Lyft downtown was around $8.
The house itself was immaculately clean and had everything you would need. There is a small hispanic restaurant a block away with amazing food and there are two coffee shops .7ish miles away.
Manuel was responsive to any questions and was timely with checkin information.
I would definitely stay here again.

We were so happy with our stay! Great location! Minutes from Pearl district, Alamo, and River Walk. Manuel was a great host as well! Always responded quickly if we had any questions.

We were only in San Antonio for one night and the house was perfect for us. Clean & easy to access. We loved it!

We absolutely loved this home and it's close proximity to the San Antonio Zoo, the Pearl, and the Frost Bank Center. The home was very spacious and provided the perfect environment for a weekend getaway. We were also very pleased with the child friendliness of the home. The host was very polite and responsive to our needs. A+++

We enjoyed our stay at this house! It is an older home but is beautiful inside. I must say that I was a little concerned when we got there (at night) with the surrounding properties... but once it was daylight and I was able to look around I felt much better! We did hear the train throughout the day and night but got used to it pretty quickly. The house itself is great and we have no complaints! I would have loved to have had a chain type lock on the inside of each exterior door just for one more layer of security and peace of mind! It really is a good location... close to downtown!

The home was beautiful and clean. We were slightly concerned with the neighborhood but didn’t have any issues and felt fairly safe. Everything worked well and we enjoyed our time. It was close enough to all our points of interest.
We did wish the water pressure was a bit stronger but that is the only complaint.
Thank you!

The property was nice. Just as described. We were attending a convention downtown and it was very convenient. I would stay here again!

This was our second time to stay here and we loved it! The house is beautiful and provides all the amenities we need. Since our last stay we noticed the owner made improvements to the patio with new paint and it looks great! We can't wait to stay again!

Unfortunately the property wasn't what we had hoped for, but it served it's purpose. If you plan on cooking, be sure to bring pots, pans, utensils, etc. Bring your own towels and pillows. The neighborhood is a bit concerning, but we didn't experience any safety issues.

We came in for stockshow with our kids and grandkids. Great location! Close to Frost Bank Center and the Pearl. Very clean! Watched the Super Bowl Sunday night. Kitchen was especially nice. Manuel was very responsive and helpful! Thank you for a super stay! Definitely coming back!

This house was perfect for our quick weekend getaway to see friends who live in San Antonio! The house was very nicely appointed, particularly the kitchen; I especially loved the gas stove and setting up our breakfast and snack bars. Plenty of counter space, plenty of dining space, and a fabulous backyard that our friends' 6 year old enjoyed running around in. We had a very seamless check in. The host, Manuel, was very quick to respond to the only inquiry I had once we checked in. The neighborhood was lovely. It's so close to the freeway, I was concerned about the noise, but we didn't have any issues; truly I was amazed when I woke up the first morning and it was so quiet. The front porch is delightful to sit on and enjoy coffee and a little reading or conversation. The back deck was very well set with a large table, chairs, lights, and a big grill (which we didn't have need of, but when we come back, and we will come back, we will bring some steaks!). Plenty of street parking. Very close to attractions ($10 Uber to the places we wanted to go to). Highly recommend, wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful stay! Thank you to Manuel for hosting my family & I. The house is spacious & the backyard is lovely. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The location is convenient to all site seeing areas. I would definitely recommend if you’re traveling with a large group/family.

Such a cute little house that accomodated our large group (grandparents, kids, baby plus dog!) and within a 5 minute drive of everything. Great stay!

Very nice spacious home next to everything. We stayed with friends and there was plenty of room for both our families. Very clean and comfortable beds as well. We would definitely stay again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house or location during our visit. The historic home was just lovely, and the area was so convenient for sightseeing and my husband’s work conference. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Great house, roomy, clean and well supplied

Beautiful home in the Government Hill part of San Antonio. The host is eady to get a hold of and answers all questions quickly. The house has been completely redone and is perfect for familes. The first bedroom has bunk beds and can sleep 4 to 6 kids depending on age. The 2nd bedroom and master can accommodate two couples. Huge back yard and dog friendly. Highly recommend if you have events at the Alamodome or RiverWalk.

The location of this house to most all of what San Antonio has to offer, was incredible! Communication was prompt and we had no issues while there. We would definitely stay again if our travels take us there!
4.8
We loved staying at this house. It is an old house with charming wood floors, but it’s a pretty open floor plan. Was a comfy place to stay after days spent running around in San Antonio. It’s close to most things and the neighborhood was very quiet. Would stay here again!

Everything was incredibly easy, organized, comfortable and welcoming.

We loved our stay! The house had all the space we needed and more. Conveniently located, and most of all good communication with the homeowner. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Overall had a great stay here! My fiancé, I and his friends from out of state were well accommodated. We were looking for a place with lots of beds and space and this was perfect!

Everything about this rental was pleasant from the beginning. The host was helpful and answered all questions in a timely manner. The old house is charming with every amenity needed. Coffee bar was well stocked & the kitchen had everything needed. Beds were comfortable. We would gladly stay here again. Location served our needs. It is close to so many attractions.

We had a good stay at this location. House has a nice warm feeling to it and an older look to it. My wife loved the designed tall ceilings, real nice open kitchen, and dining room. Only thing would recommend is TVs in each of the rooms but other than that no issues at all. Also we were pretty close to the Riverwalk around 5 min driving time and about 25 min to SeaWorld. Manuel also made himself available for anything we needed during our stay.
