Loved every second, the cottage was absolutely faultless 😊😊

We stayed at this delightful cottage for the August Bank Holiday weekend. It was just perfect in every way, the cottage was just a 2 mins walk to the beach, beautiful restaurants and bars were also nearby. The cottage had just about everything if you wanted to cook ( not that I had the urge to do any cooking at all ). Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk, fruit and chocolate was all provided by the owners. The cottage was spotlessly clean throughout, it boasted a lovely comfy sofa and chair to relax whilst watching Netflix and it also had a beautiful garden along with garden furniture. John and Valerie ( the owners ) are probably the nicest couple we have ever met ! They live in the cottage right next door and could not do enough to make sure our stay was just perfect in everyway. They also payed for the parking for the whole weekend, and luckily we found a space right outside of the property. Sandgate is a very tranquil seaside town without the hustle and bustle of crowds and unnecessary noise, it also has lots of things to see and do in the local area.

Glorious.

Great location.

The single ring hob restricted cooking a bit, but there was also a small oven and a microwave, and plenty of options nearby for eating out or getting food in.

First class

An excellent location in Sandgate, close to the beach, restaurants and pubs. The owners, Valerie and John, were exceptional.

Car parking was paid for by the hosts who were more than helpful in finding a suitable space on arrival and departure. I would expect that in peak periods a short walk my be necessary after finding a space.

Very comfortable, despite having to self-isolate and, all in all, a great stay at the cottage

The hosts, Valerie and John, were delightful - very caring, attentive and thoughtful. The house was very clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed. I was able to work online from there while self-isolating. Bed was very good. Location was ideal.

Shower lacked pressure. I discussed this with the owners and they intend to put it right

Perfect cute cottage short walk from the beach

Cute little cottage just a short walk from the beach - a perfect location for escape from the city either for a holiday or like in my case for a week long stint of working remotely from the coast. The cottage is well taken care of and has all you'd need to feel like at home . Valerie and John have been an amazing hosts and were making my stay ever so more special - gorgeous fresh flowers scatter across the rooms, delivery of freshly baked bread or yummy soup just cooked by Valerie shared on a gray rainy day are just couple of examples of their hospitality. I will definitely be looking to come back!

A home from home!

Valerie and John could not have done more to look after us. They were very kind, offering to help with luggage, telling us about the area and the town, and greeting us with tea and cake. It was wonderful to meet Bertie, their little dog (who's practically a record-breaking age!) - and we were asked if we were OK with dogs first, which was typical of their consideration. The room and bathroom were clean, cosy and private, and set apart from their own areas of the house. There is also a living area with TV for guests to use, but we didn't take advantage of that as we didn't really have time. We spent some time in Folkestone in the evening, and there was a tray of cocoa and biscuits left outside our door by the time we returned - a very nice touch! There was also plenty of tea and coffee, biscuits etc in the room. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a very wide choice, lovely homemade jam and marmalade, and all beautifully cooked. I had requested a vegetarian breakfast and Valerie did not disappoint. They even arranged a parking permit for us to ensure we didn't get a ticket. They are a lovely couple and we left feeling thoroughly spoilt.
