Clean, warm, quite, comfy relaxing to stay for a couple

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The spacious, immaculate room had all the essentials—water, coffee, teas, and delightful biscuits. Despite being above a pub, the room is surprisingly tranquil, adorned with meticulous attention to detail and a top-notch bed. The pub’s impressive, homemade cuisine, along with expertly cooked breakfast, added to the experience. Verity’s attentive, 5-star service ensured that every detail, including my dogs’ stay, was exceptional. The surrounding area is ideal for relaxation and long walks, making it a perfect retreat. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Incredibly friendly staff and room extremely clean!! The breakfast was fantastic!!

The property was clean, good location. Appreciated the kettle and toiletries provided. Breakfast really nice.
The communication was poor when needing to contact via phone or email. We needed Wifi during our stay for work reasons and our room had none - not even 4G.
We were keen to watch something on television in the evening and utilise the smart TV but again - no wifi, no smart TV function, which seems pointless.
We were frustrated at not having any wifi at all and this not being resolved. For £130 a night of wifi and a smart TV is advertised as included, they should be. That was included in what we were paying for, yet nothing and no resolution.

Have been dining at the inn for years and always wanted to stay overnight. Location is great, staff friendly and the restaurant nice. The room was fairly spacious and clean.
One bed was really creaky and in general pretty small as singles. Room above the kitchen with extractor pipe outside the window, so a bit smelly and noisy with the window open - and only a rickety fan in the room. No wifi. Restaurant meal was not as good as on previous stays

Very friendly staff, quiet location. Young lady at breakfast was very pleasant and helpful on both days.
Because of the old property, single beds were narrow as to get in rooms. But no issues

Great location, lovely country pub with very good restaurant.
Cosy room, nice en-suite very clean.
Good selection for breakfast in the price.
Friendly staff made to feel very welcome .

The customer service was exceptional! All staff were next level friendly, welcoming, chatty, warm and personable. So refreshing. The food was really good too and very, very dog friendly.
The sound proofing could be better. It's an old building with lovely old features and windows, but this meant I could hear the kitchen noise in the evening and some noises from the other rooms too. I got used to it though and the staff and everything else was soooo good, it forgave any noises.

IDEAL LOCATION QUIET AND PEACEFUL PERFECT PLACE TO DECOMPRESS EXCELLANT CHOICE OF BREAKFAST MENU CHOICE OF MENU VERY GOOD SOMETHING FOR EVERYONES TASTE. STAFF POLITE AND HELPFUL.
BOOKED A EVENING MEAL ADVISED THERE WAS A 45 MINUTE DELAY UNFORTUNENATELY HAD TO WAIT A HOUR AND A HALF FOR OUR FOOD DUE TO ONE OF THE CHEFS NOT SHOWING UP. WAITRESS VERY APOLOGETIC AND REMOVED DRINKS FROM BILL INCONVIENENCE WAS DEALT WITH VERY PROFESSIONALLY. WE HAD BOOKED A DOUBLE BED BUT WAS ALLOCATED A TWIN WITH VERY NARROW BEDS (2'6).

For Breakfast there was a good selection, and the location was just right for what we needed.
We could have been informed that in the early hours we may hear rubbish collection/recycling vehicles turning up (0230) other than this it was ok.

If your staying there parking is a hit or miss?

no idea,I wasn’t told by booking .com I had booked a room at the new forest until Saturday morning of the day I was booked into !!! I have written to book in.com but no answer to explain I had had no reminders or notifications of my booking !!!! I was attending a wedding nearby and obviously booked this inn ( looks charming by the way ! ) ages ago maybe 9 months ago , it never showed on my bookings so I forget about it and quite a few months ago I booked the boathouse at hythe ( great place by the way ) while at was at the wedding a charming man phoned at about 1030 asking where we where !!! I said I must have booked you ages ago so please bill me ,but, obviously won’t be staying as we already have the boathouse !!!!!! my question, why had I had no notification about my new forest inn till the day of staying , also none from them ! how did this slip through the net ?

we enjoyed every moment and the staff headed up by Alicia were helpful, charming and efficient! the only small issue is the noise from the flue to the kitchen which runs up the wall outside Brockhill.

Lots of choice for breakfast, the staff, especially Rob and Verity were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble.
The front door needs a spring or something to stop the slamming everytime someone enters or leaves. The sound reverberates upstairs and spoils the otherwise exceptional comfort.

staff v good. location, breakfast. eat at venue night before which was not bad.
No hot water in morning, so no shower.Room had no windows, boiling during night, we had to open the door,, not very secure.

Was actually moved from new forest Inn to sister pub Mortimer arms didn't like it
Hidden costs (service charges) expensive, closed too early (4pm) Xmas day and boxing day
4.1
The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.

The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was lovely and snug. It was the only way to keep warm in the room. It needs a renovation, which they said they are about to do.
Very, very cold even with the radiator up high. Some damp. Price of sandwiches. We could have a 2 course meal in London for same price.
