Very basic
Could not walk on the floor barefoot, had to walk around in slippers or socks. ( floor felt dirty/dusty)

Everything. It was perfect

Everything - rooms were large, clean & well appointed. Wasn't there for long but would have happily spent hours in there.
Kettle had been deemed unsafe - but left in the property. Quite a few stairs.

The location and property were excellent
The booking process was long winded and over the top. £350 security deposit is excessive
4.5 / 5.0
Perfectly clean and had all the facilities you could need. Very quiet. 5 minute walk to either Barbican or Farringdon tube stations. Excellent communication from the host.
It was ok for us but anyone with mobility issues may struggle as the stairs are fairly steep (we were on the second floor)

The apartment was very clean and I enjoyed my stay.
The bed really needs changing, it has a big dip on the RHS and a few cups would be nice
4.0 / 5.0
Good location, great space, clean and easy to get in once they provide the codes
The checkin process was weird. Deposit required and zero flexibility with early checkins.

El espacio
La escalera era pequeña y bastante empinada. El baño no tenía enchufe. Tardamos mucho en entrar

Nothing at all. SCAM. DO NOT BOOK!
The property is run by a team of scammers, who are not contactable. After booking what I thought was a room for one night, with no additional charges, it became clear after reading multiple other appalling reviews on other sites - and in tiny small print right at the very bottom of the confirmation Booking.com page - that I would also be asked to provide an unsecured CASH BANK TRANSFER of £350 - £500 PLUS ID consisting of Passport or Driving License. This is NOT normal for any hotel, apartment or room stay in London or anywhere else - and classic SCAM/FRAUD tactics to be able to get your money. Multiple others had not received their cash back after their stay and had to give up trying. There were also multiple mentions of safety and security concerns as the locks on the room were the same as all the other rooms in the same building. Obviously as a single, female traveller I would never take the risk of staying somewhere like this. I tried to call their contact number provided multiple times, but got put through to a random emergency call only Center, who said they couldn’t give any further info - and out the phone down on me twice. Unfortunately the cost of the room is NOT refundable if cancelled so I lost £150 by not going ahead with the stay, due to all the serious issues noted above. Booking.com would also not refund me, (frankly appalling when I had been completely misled about the actual costs involved in the booking, beyond the room cost) nor PayPal at this stage, so I want to warn as many people as possible - DO NOT BOOK Farringdon Apartments!!!

The property was spacious, well presented, clean and tidy!
The sound proofing was not the best, but that’s to be expected in old London buildings with such high ceilings.

The flat was spacious and clean.
There were two main issues.
Firstly, about 5 minutes after I arrived someone knocked on the door saying he was an estate agent and needed access to show some people around. He said he had been told that I gave permission for this. This was the first I had heard about it. The guy had no ID and I wouldn't let them in. When I finally got hold of someone, I was told that no permission had been given. So someone was lying about this. As the guy had got into the building I wasn't sure if he had the keycode to get into the flat. He now knew I was a lone woman staying in the flat and I felt uncomfortable going to sleep that night and wasn't sure if I should put something in front of the door. It is unacceptable to allow estate agents to visit when you are paying for the accommodation.
The second was related to the booking in experience. I had a phone call on the evening before asking me to complete the booking in process. At this stage, I hadn't received an email asking me to do this. The booking in process was a three step process. As I rarely look at the email, this made for quite a stressful experience as I wasn't sure if I was going to lose the booking.

Large apartment in great location, very close to Farringdon station. Great value and lots of amenities.
Be mindful of stairs if you have heavy bags.

Would have liked an 11am check out time

Really great location
Good facilities
Nice big shower
Nice balcony
Wouldn’t recommend for people who struggle up stairs as is on the 4th floor which requires walking up some steep stairs
Not practical for elderly or disabled

Lovely size and location.
Never had such a faff trying to check in. A £350 deposit for top of what it cost to stay was insane. And it is not a legal requirement in the UK to provide ID when checking in- plus the method in which I had to do it was incredibly long winded. None of this was made clear when booking or I simple wouldn't have stayed.

Nothing outstanding, just a pleasant studio
Would have preferred my original choice as it looked more character filled. Alternative apartment was pleasant.

The property ignores cloents and racially profile clients when they accept requests!!! They should be removed from Booking.com!!!

Honestly, reading all the reviews I was scared at first to book. But after my experience I realised that I had no issues. Easy access into the building, I was able to talk to the customer service if I needed anything. Definitely will book again. Plus it’s local to everything. It’s such a good and safe location!

lovely roomy place
The heavy handed approach to rules and emails warning you about the do and don’t. felt on edge and wasn’t made welcome!

The property was in a great location and clean and comfortable.
The facilities were basic, such as only two tumblers, no wonder glasses and minimal cutlery. The checking in process was a pain, although I can understand the details required due to it being unmanned, the actual process was laborious and up until the time of check in we didn’t have the details, so there was a sense of unease. The cleaners have us a knock at 9am to confirm we were checking out at 10am, this was unnecessary and inconvenient.

The bed wasnt the best! The stairs are quite steep - glad I had minimal luggage

I stayed for a course so the location was great, the style was great, nice and contemporary with beautiful fireplace features, a lovely kitchen (however I didn't use it but it looked well equipt), a good amount of room and space. Nice light bathroom, perfect for getting ready in. nice restaurants nearby, easy to get in once you've got the key code.
I didn't think the apartment was quite clean enough, there were a few long black hairs on the bathroom floor and on the patterned pillow on the bed. A lick of paint would also be good as the paintwork looked a little tired. I wasn't aware that id have to pay a £250 deposit before checking in, which I've never done on booking.com before until after id booked, there were emails following the booking explaining this but again, I wasn't aware of the cost of the deposit until closer to the time.

fire escape locked off, tv signal rubbish, basic utensils, sofa uncomfortable, bed very low, the advertised balcony was a unsafe and with an awful view straight in to people’s offices, when coming out of the bathroom no curtain up at the door so the people working opposite in the offices could see everything.
4.0 / 5.0
good location, bath and shower combo was nice
internet poor, no control over heating, needs to have more utensils and crockery eg there were no wine glasses provided and only 1 regular glass…so basic and below standard expected

Location was perfect, the property itself was lovely!
The check in process and the incredibly rude staff you have to deal with!!!
When booking, I read the description as directed, and completely agreed with their T&C’s. Our booking was non-refundable which was fine as it was over NYE. Once paid up, you’re requested to submit your IDs for checks, no problem, this was completed 2 weeks prior with confirmation of receipt. No follow up email with next instructions, fast forward to day before of check in and realise I haven’t actually received any correspondence of how to check in or who will meet at reception, so I email and send message through booking app, no response. Following day, we packed and ready to head to the train station down to London, I call once at the the station, the lady on the other end of line (clearly clueless with the concept of customer service) made us out to feel that it was our fault that we hadn’t yet paid our deposit, I tried to explain that I hadn’t received an email with any banking details or how to go about putting a deposit down. (you would think in this day and age, a holding deposit could’ve been supplied via the credit card used for the booking). After a bit of back and forth, she agrees to send an email with the details. We eventually get to the property with still no email received, I call again and speak to the same rude lady, she says again that she will send an email with banking details for us to transfer £500 via bank transfer to their account (which has to clear before we can gain entry), by this point we’ve passed the check in time and and needing to get ready for our NYE event by 17:30. She passes us onto her manager who was actually a lot more helpful and knew how to actually talk to customers, I was then reminded again about their policies and how there is so much risk over new year letting the property, we get that, we agreed to that, let’s move on already!
