Only complaint would be you need to update your ping pong table items. It was comical trying to use the items available. Need to go through cards, etc and find full decks and get rid of others. More info about use of outdoor items would be encouraged. Blackstone, fire pit. We truly did enjoy our stay, just hate to give 5 stars when I feel there is room for improvement.

We had 6 adults and 6 children in this home. The views and location were spectacular! The game room was a hit with everybody. The kids liked to play outside around the home. We had a wonderful time! There were minor things that needed repair, but it did not affect our stay. We would definitely come back!

We stayed 3 nights for our annual snowboarding trip. The house was warm and cozy and offered plenty of space for our group. Description of house is accurate and the views are breathtaking.

Very nice home. Met our needs perfectly. Towels and sheets were clean. The game room is perfect, the main floor living area was an excellent place to relax and talk amongst ourselves. The kitchen was very well stocked with pans, cookie sheets, cutting boards etc. multiple ways to make coffee were used to the max. We cooked all our own meals. Half the group went snowboarding and skiing at Angel Fire and the other half went snowboarding
Small criticism: the microwave doesn’t rotate. The back right burner on the stove has one temp Volcanic!

Great location and perfect place to relax after a day of ice fishing.

We loved everything about this spot and plenty if amenities and things to do for our big group. We came in to ski and everyone loved the cabin. I would highly recommend everyone have 4wd or AWD vehicles in the winter. We had plenty of space and options. There is a fantastic view out main floor patio and comfortable couches to soak it all in. We will definitely book again in the future if we come back to Angel Fire next time.

Our Vrbo mountain house stay in Angel Fire, New Mexico, surpassed all expectations. The well-equipped house provided everything for a perfect holiday, and the snowy Christmas break became our best ever. The amenities and the scenic surroundings added magic, while the host's accessibility ensured a stress-free experience. A truly unforgettable family getaway.

The loft and downstairs game room were perfect for the kids, giving them options for spaces to play and sleep. The house could use some maintenance/updates … the grill lacks a grease trap, one bedroom window fell off its track when we tried to open it, a plastic chair on the patio snapped in two while someone was just sitting on it, and if the wind blows a certain way the smell from the septic creeps into the space of people on the patios, for example.
Great views from the patio, excellent access to hiking from the house (we liked the Cougar Trail), and room to spread out and play games on a rainy afternoon.

This was the nicest place we have ever stayed in Angel Fire! It really was better than described and everything was so well done! From the decor which is modern, clean and well designed to all the little extras like books, games and kitchen items like s’mores sticks! We had a big range if she’s and everyone found their perfect spot to relax and enjoy! We loved the solo stove for making s’mores on the fire at night, the game room for poker while the littles watched tv and the amazing views! Also, the painted rocks that lead to the forest made my 4 year old believe we were staying in an actual castle Lol we went for walks every morning/evening! it’s hard to find a space with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone without feeling crammed in but this place does just that! Pretty sure the owners were/are teachers bc the kids book library and craft are def on that level! Everyone agreed this was our favorite mountain cabin in Angel Fire 😍

We brought out sons, their spouses and grandchildren to our second home community for Memorial weekend. We were fortunate enough to find this home to accommodate everyone. It was the perfect size with great living spaces and entertainment for the grandkids! It was a fabulous weekend, and we’re blessed to use this space.

House was wonderful for our big group! Big snow storm came in upon our arrival and property managers were prompt to help us get the driveway plowed!! Would highly recommend!

The driveway to house does not get maintained, making even the best drivers in 4 wheel drive vehicles a safety hazard. You will damage your vehicle’s on this driveway . You will also need to contact host for door code. They do not send this ahead of time or instructions on getting in house. Door is located on second level. Will need to bring more towels if large group. They are very limited. Hot tub broke, tv’s broke and don’t work. Overall cleanliness is fair. House needs many repairs and needs maintenance. This was our worst experience with vrbo houses. I do not recommend this house.

Excellent property with lot of space for the entire group (10ppl) and we did not use the 3 beds in the loft!
Property was as described.
The only inconvenient that I had was that I did not receive any check in information and had to contact VRBO assistance to get ahold of the property manager, and I only received the door code after 4pm when everyone was already at the property.
After that the property manager was responsive to other questions and everything went as expected! They even left us some gifts!!
Definitely will stay there again if decide to go back!

Great for large family get togethers
Home is perfectly arranged for a great time with family. They dont advertise for a hottub bc it is very broken and needs to removed. It was a huge eyesore. The exterior needs some tlc. From the stairs to the decking, the congrete landing needs to be resurfaced and the siding needs to be maintained. Kitchen could use an inventory review in was of measuring. All that said we think we found our yearly family vaca home. It hosted us all so well.

Boy Scout Adventure
Prior to our trek at Philmont Scout Ranch, our crew stayed at this beautiful home in Angel Fire for elevation acclimation. This home was perfect for us; everyone had a bed, the Scouts enjoyed the first floor game room, and the adults were very comfortable on the second and third floors. The location was ideal; we were able to hike the Enlightenment Trail in Angel Fire, take a whitewater excursion outside of Taos, tour Taos, and enjoyed several great meals in Angel Fire. The main living space has abundant windows and a large deck off of it so you can enjoy amazing views of mountains. This home was just what we needed to rest, relax, and explore as we prepared for our backpacking trek at Philmont (which is less than an hour away). Angel Fire has a good, local grocery store as well as a very good outfitter. The host was very responsive and pleasant to work with.

Bears den
The property was gorgeous the view was amazing! The only complaint would be the water was really weird bc you would get the temperature perfect and then all of a sudden it would be freezing cold or burning hot. Other than that, we all had a great time.

House with a view
The house was great for the most part. The only things I would say wasn't great was the tiny TV on the main level and the TV in the game room didn't have volume (speakers in the TV were blown.) The sound system in the game room wasn't hooked up to anything. After a long day of snow boarding we would have liked to watch the Olympics with volume. Other than that the house was great.

Great house for a large group of all ages!
Everything was great! The kids especially loved the foosball and ping pong tables. We also liked being able to record a basketball game that was on while we were skiing so we could all watch it in the evening. Then I agree with the other comments about the kitchen being well stocked and the really fast responses when we had questions. Our only glitch was actually getting in the house because we arrived after dark (and it was snowing quite a bit at the time) and after walking all around, we could not find the “front door” which it turns out was up 2 flights of stairs to the left side and around the back by the grill in the dark. My suggestion is to provide directions to this door when sending the lockbox code and to install a motion light. We also had trouble getting the cover to the lockbox open perhaps because it was so cold but a keypad door lock would be so much easier. However we got a quick response and help to solve the problem, and once in, we could open the sliding door downstairs to bring in the luggage etc. up just one flight of stairs outside. We have stayed several places in Angel Fire and this house was one of the best especially for a large group of people (we had 12 but could have easily had 5 more)!

Fantastic cabin for families
We had such a great time in this cabin with a total of 16 people (3 families), kids ranging from 5-12. The game room kept everyone entertained endlessly and the trails around the cabin made for fun nature walks with the little ones. The kids loved that deer and bunnies visited often! There was plenty of space for all of us and the location of the cabin is perfect. I always had excellent communication with the owners and they were very accommodating! We loved it here.

Perfect House for 2 Family Spring Break Ski Trip
Great house to host 2 families with 5 boys ranging in age from 6-15 yrs old! Plenty of room and plenty to do! Well stocked with kitchen necessities! Great house!!!

The house was beautiful, large for our two families and great for a getaway.
Unfortunately with the amount of snow we had the week we were there and the very steep driveway, we had difficulty with the driveway. 4 wheel drive with good tires are needed. Owners and management company very responsive to help us with extra plowing of the drive during the week.

Breath taking views
This cabin was Amazing! It fit our whole family and was clean and beautiful! It was wonderfully stocked with basic necessities, had a washer and dryer which was a huge plus! Games galore which kept the kiddos and adults occupied the entire weekend! This was an amazing experience! Only draw back was the driveway was so steep and slippery which after being scraped was so hard to get up. We went to the local store to buy bags of salt to melt the ice. Then it turned into mud which got a few vehicles stuck. But overall we give this cabin 5 stars!!!!

Winter Wonderland
My family and I had an amazing time here. The setting was beautiful and the house was spacious enough to accommodate our large group. The driveway is very steep so 4WD would make it significantly easier (or possible if there’s ice) to make it to the top. We were able to comfortably park 3 large vehicles at the top near the house. The view is incredible, especially with fresh snow and at sunset. Everyone in our group agreed that we would love to make staying here a yearly tradition. There was room for the kids to sled a short distance just outside the house, which was perfect for our younger ones. The lowest floor has lots of fun indoor activities, like ping pong and pool tables. This was a wonderful vacation and we cannot wait to go back!

Great property with plenty of room. House was everything that was described. Wooded areas around the neighborhood were perfect for walking around and seeing wildlife. Owners were super and were very willing to be flexible with all the Covid issues.

Excellent large home for families
We had an excellent time at The Bear's Den in Angel Fire in March. We came just before the Coronavirus pandemic and as a result only had 1 day of skiing instead of the 4 we were hoping for. But, the house was so comfortable for our group of 14 that we decided to stay and quarantine there together for the rest of our trip! We packed plenty of food and the grocery store was well-stocked as well, so we really did treat this house like our home for a week. The 8 kids loved sledding in the snow, exploring outside, and playing pool and ping pong and having a large basement to hang out in. The adults relaxed on the main floor with quiet chats and access to snacks and drinks. :) The adults even had fun in the basement at night once kids were tucked in. We LOVED staying here! Everyone had a bed to sleep in and rooms were clean and had what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, coffee pot with filters, keurig, crockpot, utensils, etc. We did bring our own paper towels and toilet paper and were glad we did since those were in short supply. We also brought extra hand and dish soap. We used the washer and dryer a lot (also brought our own laundry soap) and the washer/dryer was so quiet and convenient on the main floor. As for the hot water--we did notice the first day that when two people shower the water can get cold on and off. So we tried to have everyone shower one at a time and didn't have as much issue. The tankless water heaters meant that we never ran out of hot water, but it didn't seem to adequately supply water to multiple bathrooms at once. However, we were happy about how many bathrooms there were for us all since toilets and sinks are used a lot more than showers! I highly recommend this home to large groups for winter/spring skiing or even warmer months of hiking/exploring. And the views! Beautiful scenery from the huge pictures windows in the main living room and great hiking nearby--even in the winter months. We had a lovely time and felt right at home.

Great time in snowy mountains!
Our large family enjoyed a great time in Angel Fire in this beautiful home! The large windows provided a stunning view all day long. The 5 bedrooms and loft provided ample space for kids and grandkids. The home was conveniently close to the slopes for skiing.
The driveway is steep and 4 wheel drives or chains are an absolute necessity in the winter months. You will compete for the hot water if more than one person is showering at a time. Otherwise, the home is a comfortable and beautiful place to say.
Our family was blessed to see 16 inches of snow during the week! The kids and adults loved the scenery and play opportunities such snow fall provided. We would love to return again some day.
