The Michelson trail is just a couple miles away for hiking and biking. A relaxing walk through the woods near the cabin is also an option. ATV, UTV and snowmobile trails are accessible right from the cabin.
The extra large lot next to the cabin provides room for trailer parking and extra vehicles along with a turnaround area for maneuvering trailers once up the hill. The cabin is equipped with an automatic whole house generator for any power outages. An added bonus is a cool Grain Bin with an outdoor enclosed fireplace inside to enjoy year round outdoor relaxation!
There is a two car garage next to the cabin that is available upon request. This cabin has everything you are looking for!

This home was absolutely gorgeous, adequate room and well-equipped for our group of ten. We didn't get to use the deck or grain bin bar as we had wanted, too much riding each day, but they are a plus. A trip to this area definitely needs more than a week to see all the sites! We so enjoyed our time. Thanks for making our stay memorable!

Had my children and grandkids there for a family reunion. This was the perfect place as we had 14 people and there was more than enough room for everyone. The views from the deck are exceptionally beautiful. It's like you can see forever. The hosts Scott and Dawn are wonderful to work with.

Our group of 11 really enjoyed the home. It had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. The use of the garage was a plus, to keep our bikes inside.
Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

So well provisioned. We had 11 people and we easily cooked most of our meals at the cabin. Every kitchen appliance, pot and pans, a lot of cups and glasses were provided, very easy to cook and serve at this cabin. All the separate and equally nice rooms made it so easy for a large group. Our teenagers hung out downstairs. They hooked up the Xbox to the big TV and had a good time. It kept the noise away from the adults. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!!

We can’t say enough about our stay here. The cabin was beautiful and very well taken care of, the location was perfect, and we made some of our families best memories yet. Our host was amazing and very responsive. They checked in on us when the weather turned unpredictable and made sure we were all taken care of. Our whole group agreed that we would 11/10 recommend staying here!

We had a friend group of 5 couples stay at this property and it was such a fun stay. The deck was great feature to dine outside and hang out. We had a great time and it’s right by all the fun ATV/UTV trails which we did partake in. The driveway up to the place seems super steep and intimidating at first but plenty of room to park a few trailers and vehicles. Highly recommend staying here!! It’s close to lead and deadwood just a few miles away. Would love to come back here!

The Big Sky Cabin provides a relaxed environment with beautiful scenery. The kids loved exploring around the cabin and seeing wildlife (deer, turkeys, ground squirrels, and plant-life). The location made it easy to travel to nearby activities and sites.
The cabin was complete with great amenities including dishes, pots, pans, kitchen appliances which allowed us to do a lot of cooking at the cabin. The hot tub was a highlight for our grandsons!
This was the first time all five of our children, significant others and grandkids were together for a vacation and we had a great time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

House is more than advertised. Can't say enough about it. Plenty of room for the 10 of us. Fully furnished with whatever you would need for a vacation with family and friends. Kitchen had everything and more needed to cook meals. Everything was spotless and clean. The owners Scott and Dawn where more than accommodating. We had the pleasure of having a drink with them. They helped with all of the local places to go. (Great People) This is the place to stay if you are visiting the back hills for motorcycling or just vacationing. Will definitely be back

We had an AMAZING time! Location was perfect, the house was impeccable. Driveway was a little steep which caused some of our motorcycke riders to keep their bikes at the bottom of the hill due to gravel roads and some washout of the road, which the owners were great about and were pursuing getting the road repaired. There was 14 of us (2 on an air mattress that we brought). We had mire than ample space. All the amenities were perfect for our group. I really couldn't say enough goid things about this house. Our whole group loved it!!

This cabin was close to everything we planned to do. A great central location. There were 3 decks. One on every level. The main deck had enough seating for everyone in our party. We enjoyed the gas outdoor fireplace every evening. The beds were comfortable and there was a full bathroom on all 3 floors. Lead was just a short ride as we needed ice daily for our coolers and for drinks. We were allowed use of the garage to park our motorcycles in at night. Our GPS took us to the wrong cabin so make note of that. Big Sky Drive which the cabin is on is a 10% INCLINE or more. The road is gravel and has been washed out by rain fall leaving deep ruts. We would not advise to navigate this in the dark on a motorcycle. The entire subdivision is gravel and Big Sky Drive is towards the back. These are county roads and maintenence falls to the responsibilities of the county and not the owners. I would advise larger truck if you plan to pull a trailer up to this location.

Big Sky Cabin Review
Overall impression/experience was very pleasant for my family and myself. Cabin was in clean and orderly condition. Location is just off the main highway that goes to Lead and Deadwood, however is back far enough from the main highway to be remote and quiet with a beautiful view. Property has every amenity needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay for all ages. Dawn was very prompt with answering any questions I had. The only concern (minor concern at that) I have is the condition of the gravel road that goes up a pretty steep grade to access the property. It is minimal mainenance and a bit rutted. Just take it slow and steady and no problem! I would rate this experience 5+ out of 5. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice quiet vacation in a beautiful wooded Black HIlls forest.

Beautiful spacious cabin
This cabin was beautiful, spacious and immaculately clean. It has plenty of room for large families or a group of friends The layout gives plenty of space for everyone to spread out. It is centrally located for many activities. We rented ATVs from right across the highway. We did a couple bike rides on the Mickelson trail. We also made trips in to Deadwoood for the Wild Bill Days. After our busy days, we relaxed on the beautiful decks of the cabin. Amazing views! The property owners were very helpful throughout the process. Answered all the questions we had. We are trying to get the rest of our family to join us for a Black Hills vacation and when they do, I would definitely rebook this cabin.

3 Days of Quiet and Togetherness!
Property was nice.
It was not handicapped accessible as we had one family member in a wheelchair but made it work.
Coffee pot was not clean-used grounds in pot.
wet towels left in washer. We dried and put away.
Not big pots to cook soups in for a family our size.
Refrigerator and freezer had a lot of items in it that we had to throw away before we could unload our supplies. With Covid I would suggest people throw away unused items unless they had not been opened previously.
Enjoyed our family vacation- Furniture comfortable-very warm and inviting.
Very good instructions on everything.
