What a great little property. Cabin was clean and spacious with all the amenities you could ask for. Even a little welcome basket with water and snacks. Don’t forget the fresh eggs provided from the chickens on the property. Also has goats, bunnies and ducks roaming around. Would stay here again and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay in the black hills centrally located to everything there is to do and see. 10/10

There are multiple cabins on the property, but we rarely ran into other guests. Over all the stay was great!

We had a lovely time at Campfire Cabins. Google Maps told us we needed to do a long detour (on Edelweiss Mountain Road, which is gravel) to get there, which was fine on the way there, as it helped us learn our way around and find the hiking trail we used each day. We were glad to figure out that we could get to Rapid City a shorter way (on 44) on our way out of the Hills. Everything we needed was available at the cabin. It was a great home base for us for our stay in the Hills.

The owner/host was very easy to work with. Perfect space for our needs. And we even got complimentary farm fresh eggs to use for our breakfast!

We had such a great experience. This is the first place that we've stayed that we were able to meet the hosts. Al and Sarah were awesome! They spent some time with us talking about their life and educated us about the area that we were staying in. Our family is very grateful!

The cabin, the owners and the location are the best Black Hills vacation rental you will find. The cabin itself was extremely clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The owners are thoughtful and accommodating providing much more than other rentals we have stayed at (fresh eggs, full condiments, treat/snack basket, coffee and toiletries in case you forgot something such as toothbrush, sun lotion, shampoo, bug spray, etc.
Communication with the owners was extremely easy. They have lots of little critters running around such as pet bunnies, goats, ducks, chickens, a couple of cats, etc. We spent several evenings trying to catch the bunnies.
The location is perfect to pivot off of each day to go exploring different locations in the Black Hills.
We loved this rental cabin!

I loved staying here, I loved the location and the accommodations. The hosts definitely put care into their guests' experience. 10 out of 10 but my two nitpicks (because everything else was perfect) would be that the pillows were too thick and there were lots of flies inside. So potentially bring your own pillows and be prepared to swat some flies (maybe it was also the time of year we were there). But big thanks to the hosts for their great spot.

We are in are 70's and usually stay at a hotel for a better experience but these cabins are amazing. We wanted a change and Sarah is the best landlady anybody could have. Sarah thinks of the little things to make it the best experience a person can have. Extra treat on the table, extra games to play, extra video to watch, and bathroom full of things a person could forget to bring. This was a new experience for us and the best ever memory of South Dakato. We would go back to Sarah's cabin in a heart beat.

Cabin was very nice with a lot of "extras" provided. The only odd thing was there was a knocking type of noise during the night...we believe it may have been coming from the heat source? It woke us up a few times....sounded like someone was lightly tapping on the wall?

We had a great experience at the Campfire Cabins! The cabin was the perfect size for our family of five. The kids loved the loft and all of the friendly animals on site. The owners are very friendly and come chat with the guests around the bonfire in the evening. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean. I was worried that the loft may get hot, but the cabin stayed nice and cool with the a.c. unit. The farm fresh eggs were an added, delicious bonus. As far as location, it is an excellent halfway point between Hill City & the Deadwood area. 2 miles from Lake Pecotola, a beautiful place to take a dip and they rent boats and paddle boards. Very close to all the Black Hills action. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, families, couples, bikers, UTV-ers, great option for all!

Stepping out of my cabin in the morning, coffee in hand, the view as the sun came over the trees was breathtaking. This was a very relaxing setting and the ideal start to each day.

Sarah and Albert have an amazing property, cabins and hospitality. The cabins were perfect for our week stay. The highlight was sitting around the campfire in the evenings meeting new friends and watching the kids all play together. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
