About this house rental

Come to the island!! We want you to enjoy our beautiful family home! Conveniently located near the 49th St beach access, it is a short walk to the beach in one direction and a short walk to the ICW waterway access which is complete with pier and picnic area.. Just relax and enjoy our home with all the high-end upgrades. You will feel at home when you walk into the spacious open living area with great room, dining area, and kitchen, The tall vaulted ceilings in living area create a spaciousness for all of your family and friends to enjoy. Totally perfect for a large group. . There are two master bedrooms on mail level. One is a bedroom with a king bed and the other master has a queen bed. There are two additional bedrooms on the same level. One is a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds perfect for your kids to enjoy and another bedroom which has a full bed. There is also a full hall bathroom. Upstairs is over 400 sq ft bedroom which has one full and one single bed. This property 7 days from Saturday to Saturday.
There is a new washer/dryer in laundry room complete with sink. Enjoy the outside living space which always seems to have that beach breeze. You can choose to relax on the large front porch which extends the width of the house complete with rockers, on the side screen-in porch off of the dining area complete with an additional table for 6 and a sitting area, or hide-out on the side deck. There is a large paved area underneath at ground level for a large entertainment area. For outside dining there is a large table for 6, additional chairs for relaxation with a table for extra dining, a swing and new grill. Loads of parking space underneath and in paved driveway. House is located in the Tranquil Harbour Section of Oak Island which lives up to its name. A tranquil place to enjoy and convenient to everything. Enjoy a day playing or relaxing on the beach, fishing off the pier, kayaking in the intercoastal waterway, exploring the island on bikes or in a golf cart, shopping in the island shops, eating at one of the local unique restaurants, visiting the lighthouse on the island, or playing golf on one of the famous golf courses in the area. Take a short trip to historic South Port, Wilmington or Calabash. Take a ride on the ferry and explore Fort Fisher or Bald Head Island. Or take a shopping trip to North Myrtle or Myrtle Beach. There are so many places to explore and make those special memories. The possibilities are endless. Or just relax and enjoy the natural setting of beautiful Oak Island and enjoy the conveniences that you have at home.

We throughly enjoyed the house! Beautiful house, and the outdoor patio being gated was super helpful with 18month old twins! We met up with close friends and spent the whole week there. There was 12 of us and the house was perfect for our framily getaway! Owner had great communication. We would rent this house again in the future :)

house was great. contained everything we needed for the week, kitchen well equipped with utensils for cooking and grilling. bedrooms worked great for all family members. front porch and side porches were great for mornings and evenings. kids loved that they could ride their bikes and scooters under the house.

We had a fantastic July 4th holiday at Tranquil Harbour. Loved the interior decor. Plenty of space for everyone in our family. Enjoyed the evening breezes in the screened porch. Great location in between the intracoastal and beach. Quick drive to cute town of Southport. Would definitely recommend this beach house to friends and family.

We loved the house and it was just the right size for our family to all be together but have our own spaces too! We absolutely loved the house and it’s location to the grocery store and other local shops! The house was clean and had everything we could need!! We had a great time!!

We had a terrific vacation staying at this property. House was very clean and very nice. Comfortable beds and well laid out floor plan made this home great for our family (we have 2 young children). Owner was very communicative and accommodating. We were encouraged to rent a golf cart and that was the way to go. So easy to get to the beach with the golf cart and 49st public beach access was easy/pleasant. We got there early in the morning and pretty much had the beach to ourselves till around noon. Would recommend this rental.

Property was in a perfect location. We were in town for a baseball tournament and found a rec field just a few blocks over-happy accident! The house was beautiful and so much better than staying in a hotel. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our down time.

We had an amazing visit to Oak Island and loved this home. First, Janis was an attentive owner and made the entire arrival and check-in process very easy. Our trip consisted of two families - a total of 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids between the ages of 4-12). The house was very clean and spacious. With 8 people there was enough room for everyone to have privacy or spend time together. The kids loved the room upstairs and used it as playroom central and the bunk beds were a hit. The beds were comfortable and it was clear that bringing your own linens allowed the house cleaners to focus on cleaning every nook and cranny of the house, including mattress covers and quilts. All were very clean. The house is a great proximity to the beach and the fishing pier at the Intercoastal. It’s walking distance to the nature center as well. The outdoor areas of the home were fantastic, we ate on the covered porch area and relaxed in the rocking chairs almost every day of our stay. We are already planning our next stay!

We stayed here during our daughter’s wedding. The downstairs laundry area worked well for arranging flowers. It was also only about 35 minutes from the venue. Plenty of room for my family, my parents, and my brother-in-law’s family. Very clean and spacious with cool breezes coming through the lower porch. Enjoyed the beach and the town of Southport.

Oak Island is a very pleasant place to stay not overcrowded the beaches are great. And the home at 303 51st Street that we stayed in was very very nice very well represent it in its advertising.
