breakfast was amazing with a good location close to the verranda overlooking the ocean. Many selections of food and good coffee.
the stay was fantastic.

Private access. Staff were friendly and helped organise my day-time trips.
5.0 / 10.0
Had nice grounds, paradise like garden/surroundings.
As a 5 star hotel, was lacking in facilities of other 5 star hotel, staff in general were friendly and polite, but seemed clueless and unsure of how to provide proper service. Maybe it could have been due to not being able to converse well in English, but this is not an excuse for a 5 star hotel resort.
For example, provision of wine glasses is the standard in all 5 star hotels (even 4 star hotels) but at Sears, there is a charge of KRW 5000 for wine glasses. In addition, in a 5 start hotel, serving Italian food in Italian restaurant, unlimited amount bread is served during dinner. At Seaes Hotel, they provide 2 small slices. if you request for more, they will charge for the extra slices. Worst of all, we were halfway through the 4 extra slices of bread ordered and being charge for and the waitress wanted to take the bread away after we finished our starters.
We understand that the hotel has a long history of being favoured as “the place” to go to for wedding dinners and also due to popularity of shooting some “K-dramas” on the hotel grounds in previous years, however it doesn’t live up to it’s 5 star rating and we for one will not be recommending this hotel to our friends. For our next visit to Jeju, we will choose to stay at The Shilla, which is next door or Parnas Hotel (also close by) instead.

Friendly staff with beautifully maintained grounds and spacious rooms.
Water pressure was intermittently low when first turning on
8.0 / 10.0
beautiful setting, kind and helpful staff
rooms a bit worn and need updating, no pool at the property

It was a unique hotel, beautifully decorated.

The resort (exterior) is beautiful.
1. The sink in the bathroom did not make sense. Water gets everywhere when one washes his/her hands.
2. There is no proper shower head. For a resort like this, one would expect at least a branded shower head and not a hand shower that we had to hold on to.
3. Bathroom showing it’s age and it is time for a makeover.

Nice location near sea with nice views. Walking distance to conference centre. Privacy. Single story buildings and individual villas.
Clean sheets and room.
Good heating in winter.
Moderately aged furnishings.
Rooms small.
Food passable. Limited choices. Relatively expensive.

just that it was by the sea
the finishing was dated and floors were tiled, did not feel like a 5 star hotel. definitely more refurbishments needed.

great landscape and view
there are mosquitoes at night given the close to nature design

Good setting
Staff were unhelpful - i asked for help with surfing lessons (as advertised on their website) and they wouldn't help, wouldn't help with day trips and sent me pictures of the airport transfer car and told me to go and find it myself. There are no amenities in the hotel, not even wifi.

The landscape design was absolutely fantastic. The employee interaction was absolutely fantastic as well... Everyone was so kind and generous... The room accommodation was absolutely fantastic also... The Korean breakfast menu is also highly recommended; my personal favorite is seafood beanpaste soup ... 5 out of 5. Seas hotel taught me how a hotel stay can be healing all by itself.

Each Annex with Korean antique style and luxurious interior was very impressive. Garden terrace with palm tree was also special and unique with supreme value. A centeral garden with adorable pond where was often used in the famous TV K-drama, secret garden and so on... is very nice. Another Seaside main garden with a Kiss bench in Secret garden and tall palm trees are in good harmony with sea and sky. Perhaps it is worthy to revisit next time, Breakfast is very excellent, particularily main menu with Korean style with salad buffet.
